Good luck in Canada, with our neighbors as you point out. I'm always uncomfortable with characterizations of runners from Canada and Mexico as international runners when I hear livestreams of races here in the US. It's the same mountain range system they're running on.
I’ve been watching your channel for a while, but I really like your videos out in the mountains. I think that’s the magic of trail running. I hope you smash UTMB this year
Great vlog really enjoyed it! Nice seeing you on trails ✅

Congrats for the Minotaur sky race and enjoy the Val d'Aran race. It's a great place with nice landscapes in the Pyrenean mountains but unfortunately too far for me to drive and see you. But already pumped to see you in Chamonix. Enjoy your summer Sage and keep it up!
Good news. We have had some pretty good rain showers up here in Alberta (even some snow between Lake Louise & Jasper) so that has tamed the forest fire smoke a bit. It really depends on the direction of the upper air patterns. The fires are up in the northern part of the province so if the weather starts to flow from north to south down the eastern slopes of the Rockies, it could bring the heavier smoke back. Bad news, it looks like it could still be wet this Saturday. 50-60% chance of rain. Hopefully it holds off and you can have a good race down in the Crowsnest Pass. Enjoy the Minotaur and good luck!
Any advice for an old guy running his first mountain race at Speedgoat?😅 One who can only train at 1000’ above sea level running up and down technical trails with 400’/km vertical 😂 Planning on an extended power hike 💪🇨🇦
Awesome video. Good to see you back at it. What gear/camera type thing is that you're using to get the drone-like shots on the ridge-line [ie. the (7:50) mark]?
Would you ever consider doing the Antarctic ice marathon that is to say if you had the money for it? I would love to but it would cost me an arm and a leg.
Depends on your goals/use. I generally have the lightest ones (Leki super lite FX one carbon fiber). The hand strap clip in system is a little weird to use though. I also like my Black Diamond Carbon Zs. All these fold into thirds so they fit in my CamelBak treking pole quiver. For skiing I also use Leki ski poles. Make sure you get the right height and some are doing to be fixed length (vs variable length)...the tradeoffs are usually with weight, price and durability
Awesome Sage. Highlights: ‘more miles more fun’ cracking the hazy (looked so good) and ‘May flowers bring June showers’. Thanks for this!

I have an Insta 360 One X2 on a stick (the black stick/pole it comes with gets erased by the editing software)
Spectacular material o.O

Beautiful run! What trekking poles do you use/recommend?

Hilarious commentary haha.
You're GLAMPing, not camping brah. Looks like fun though.
