Unbelievable...A question: in those examples that you have mentioned, have they run those sales from the start or, instead, they offered the discounts during a short period of time?
Also, would it make sense to have different digital products for different nitches under one shop? Thank you

So do people that buy these, download it online and then send it to Costco,Walmart, or kinko’s to get picture size prints and then buy a frame and then frame it?
If it really sales at that rate they say then great, but I don’t think most people would not go through this tedious and costly process unless it is something someone wants really badly.
From what I have seen on other Etsy forums there is not much demand for this product.

    Nice video as usual, Scott.
I salute those new sellers who have broken into the Etsy market by selling wall art.
Personally, wall art and planner are the 2 big niches that I won't consider selling in a digital product space. There might be (?) underserved sub-niches in these 2 niches if you know how to do a proper research, but I'm just not interested in these 2 products. With AI(for wall art), the entry barrier becomes lower so many new sellers will try to get into the market.
It's my 4th month selling on Etsy and have over 350 sales so far, not too grand or too shabby. Found this 1 product that no one talks about, thanks to Everbee. Btw, it's in the party & event category. The most important thing is learn how to do a proper research to validate products, niches, and market.
Scott, not sure if you see this but I have one question. From your experience, if I set my ads budget to $10 daily, how many listings should I include to get the best result? Currently I include 25-30 listings and my daily revenue is around $30-$50.

    • @ChristopherShaffer1
      @ChristopherShaffer1 ปีที่แล้ว

@moonlightxyz9288 $5 per day should be more than enough for that number of listings (at least to start). Once you have run that budget for a little while, take a look at your stats, see if you are spending all of it and IF all of the included listings are profitable when they get traffic. From there, you can increase the budget if you'd like, just keep an eye on it and make sure you are spending through the budget PROFITABLY

Let me let you in on a little secret. This ship has mostly sailed. These TH-camrs all know this. They are only making these videos with $10K+ "income" numbers in the thumbnails for the views to supplement their already-established POD business. One TH-camr even admitted it. When she was asked why she's making these how-to videos and increasing her "competition," she said that she was so far ahead of any new-comers and was in "coasting" mode, that telling others (i.e., give others false promises) wouldn't hurt her business.
So the ulterior motive of ALL these POD TH-camrs making these videos is solely for the views. Just remember that.
Time to move on to the next big thing. What is it? No one will tell you on TH-cam because, you know, competition. Only when THAT ship as sailed will TH-cam will be flooded with countless how-to videos.

    • @brandcreators

Thanks for the tip, but I don't agree. There's still opportunity and there always will be. Oh and you are right, I do create videos to help people and yes I do get paid from ads and this allows me to create videos for FREE without viewers paying. Full transparency there my friend :-)

A ton of people beat you to it and your odds have plummeted. Newcomers may occasionally stumble upon a nugget (or "niche" if you want to call it), but the odds are stacked against us.
It's also like all these crypto bros saying Bitcoin and cryptocurrency is promising. But that ship has also sailed. So they've resorted to making TH-cam videos for the views. I'd like full transparency by seeing these TH-camr's portfolios. But that's not gonna happen.

I've seen so many ridiculously amateur attempts at producing a digital download art storefront on Etsy... Its like people think there's no skill involved in creating AI art that it just Art Directs, render refines, upscales and markets itself and most anyone who tries will succeed if they just have good business skill... Hate to break it to you but you do still need expert creative skill mated to expert marketing savvy specifically in the creative product space to succeed.

Profit and profit margin are not the same thing. Look up how to calculate profit margin. You are not doing it correctly. For example, a product costs you $10 and you sell it for $15, your profit margin is 50%. ($5 profit on $10 cost). The net profit is $5 of $15 or 33.33% profit.

The problem with such videos is that people share information on what to make and what designs to use. For what? Helping others, yeah that’s good. Problem with us people, we copy and make same stuff, and that’s wrong. We rely on i information and never do anything unique. The market will get saturated, no profits for anyone. The best advice I can share is that if you found something profitable, the pattern, business design, or product. Never share this in the video, never give out secrets. There is nothing selfish about it. Never share progress, make success in silence.

I bet to get that kind of sells you need to invest $20 a day per work. So you need to sell 5 of those to make you first 80% lol.. The only party making real money is Etsy.
