@@laaity For me first firing on steam then after 10 years driving trains was not just a job but to me it was also a hobby That is why I loved it so much
@@sydneymartin6941 ja no These machines are more than just machines I have fired a couple of times But im struggling with it How ever im the engine cleaner and loco minder
@@laaity When I first started working at the age of 16 years I was put with a human firelighter He used to light up the dead locomotives and also attended the locomotives that were to go out of the shed Had to ensure there was water in the boiler a banked fire and sufficient steam for when the fireman and driver came on duty What a career I had Loved it
@@sydneymartin6941 i do something similar I started volunteering when i was 13 I started doing fire lighting like a year ago aswell as loco minding I was promoted to locomotive cleaner and prep i think last year November
