I work in a coin store and I’ve had two different people refuse to buy type two silver eagles absolutely convinced that there’s tracking devices in them.
It’s kind of scary how easily fooled those people can be.
In fairness, when the WEF put out a video saying they predict you'll own nothing and be happy, and you've already noticed that they tend to get their way, you can see why some people might be a tad allarmed.
I can't explain how stupid this is for people to sincerely believe things out of context.

I laughed hard. Anyone that has any idea of how medals are made knows there's no microchip on the planet that could even come close to handling the heat and pressures involved in the coin minting process.

I think the April Fool’s joke was great. So obvious though right? Perhaps he could have said “April Fool’s” at the end, but I like that he took the mickey out of us. We’re all a bit conspiratorial, so it’s good to not take ourselves too seriously.

I saw the video in question, I didn't find is that amusing, it was obvious it was an april fools joke, I just rolled my eyes and moved on. It's slighty worrying if some people did actually believe it though, even more so if it was actual bullion dealers. They should know better!

I'm what many would describe as a 'far right, conspiracy theory, tin hat wearing swivel eyed loon' and I thought 365DoS April fools jape was excellent. I was taken in by the monster box tracking device and then the penny dropped in tandem with him dropping his silver eagles in water to 'kill' the trackers embedded within them. That was the screaming giveaway that it was an April Fools joke. Well done 365DoS: I look forward to what he comes up with on 01/04/2025! 🙂

I agree there is no Microchips in the Silver Eagles. However this rumor did not start on April Fools with 365daysofSilver video. This rumor started in 2021 and was being spread recently on other channels before April Fools. I did a video in 2021 prior to the Type 2 Silver Eagles even being released discussing the tracking chip rumor and how dumb I think it is...
There is great April metal detecting content this year, when an apparent ancient coin hoard in an earthen ware pot gets 'discovered' .
I'm not going to do a spoiler alert, go search it for yourselves.

I work in the gaming industry and as a security measure, some chips (above the denomination of £100) are microchipped.
But they aren't made of metal!
Also, those are RFI chips, not GPS tracking chips. Very different

My friend. I have never had a thing for colecting/stacking Eagles. Here in Canada I have first off those .9999 Maples and secondly I have a big, big passion for Libertads, Onzas and other Mexican beautys. There is nothing, absolutly nothing to put any form of our purchases of PM's to have trust in our colecting habbits.There is nothing that can stop them coming in the front door and seizing everything we have all worked so hard for. Fact of life ! They have already taken the gold from the folks in the states and there is NOTHING they can do to stop them from doing it again eh. The general needs wants from the USA heirachy will see to that. I do keep a bunch of my most favorite pieces here but not so for the rest as it is well kept out of todays less than favorable people that may wander by. Can we trust our upper poloticians ? NO FLIPPIN WAY MY OLD FRIEND. They know everything about us and we will be for our total existance and then some.

I do wonder if the Govt via HMRC/Bank of England have set a level at which gold/sliver purchases get too where they bring in legislation to prevent/encourage people not to invest. Not a chance in hell. People can buy millions of £ worth of gold and silver instantly if they have the cash.
It doesn't take FIAT out of the system, because the FIAT moves to someone else's account. The idea is for most of us, when the government devalues the FIAT, some of our wealth is in metals.

Those poor barstools with a low social credit score are having their purchases curtailed. They cannot even buy a train ticket. The “climate emergency” they will use to put restrictions on our airplane flights, on our petrol purchases, even restrict your consumption of animal based meats. Their fist is tightening around our throats, as slowly as the frog boils in the water on the stove. You don’t see it because you do not want to. By the time you do realise whats going on, you will be well cooked.

It makes no difference to me. If you want to keep your coins in perfect condition, sure. But quite frankly these coins will either be a) melted down into some of my poured silver or b) just sold at some point for their metal content. I can't be bothered with trying to keep them perfect and finding individual buyers that want them crisp and pristine all for an extra few £ per oz
