Thanks for the video, and I promise I will never cancel you for collecting Disney or testing Uranium glass.😀
Thanks! I appreciate it!
WOW Service Merchandise omg i forgot about that! My mom took us to 3 of them looking for a Sandwich Maker. Memories ❤😊
Yeah, I used to love that store!
my best memories of that flea market are during the summer.
I've been in the summer a couple of times. I may go back in July or August.
Get there at 5am to buy. Opens at 5:30 AM. The good stuff comes out early. Start toward the back, not the front.
I would if I could, but I would have to wake up at 3am to get there that early.
@@fleabittenadventures That is when I used to leave.
I don't know if you will read this , but I also collect character glasses . If you have some that have faded there is a product you can buy called " Kramer's Best antique improver " . It is a liquid that you can just wipe on the front of the glass and it will instantly bring back the color . I use it myself . I completed my collection of the 1976 Pepsi interaction looney tune glasses .
Really? I just figured once they are faded, that's it. I'll look into that. Thanks!
@@fleabittenadventures They have a u-tube video showing how it works . search " How to restore the faded paint on cartoon and promotional drinking glasses " .
The ubiquitous flea market box of POTF. Ever see the indy horror "It Follows"...The plot is that once a person has this curse given to them by a lover, they must pass it on before the curse destroys them. Sort of like those boxes of POTF lol
No. Never seen "It Follows". But yeah, POTF and Star Trek TNG figures seem to be hard to sell nowadays, even though they were considered very collectible back in the 1990s.
Love your flea market videos, really enjoyed this one sweet Coca Cola truck, you never see uranium glass in the UK :(
Uranium glass is pretty much everywhere in the US. I wonder if it wasn't sold in the UK. Thanks for watching
9:55 I bought some of the cassettes earlier. I agree, I almost never see metal cassettes around.
I usually see Country music and oldies. I'll bet most of the collectors pickup the rock and metal cassettes.
Great video! Lot's of great treasures. Show some sports cards in one of your future videos.
After seeing your vids I started searching for the BL Star Wars glasses I am missing one episode 4, and one of ROTJ (I have all of empire). Also have grabbed a couple smurf glasses now too
Be careful, glass collecting is addictive
I wish was open later than 1:30 and only Sunday, I would take the hike from southern Westchester across town on 84 to 7 to buy stuff.
That would be nice if it was open earlier.
4:40: a bong? Or a sex toy?
I'm pretty sure it was a bong/pipe. The lady looking at it apparently had no idea what it was.
Hi! Do you resell the things you buy?
Not usually. I'm primarily a collector. Thanks for asking.
I was there at the same time. Looking for myself lol
You may still be in the video. There's going to be a couple more parts
I've never seen anyone use the radiation detector . It's pretty cool . I have a small blacklight flashlight that I use .
I thought it would be fun. I can't wait to try it on the orange Fiestaware
We love your flea market videos my wife likes the bright and shiny things and I love the rusted junk.....only one request, would you please pause for 3 to 5 seconds at each table so people can see what is there , and look at the entire table peoples have different tastes in merchandise and like variety, tools, rusted junk, jewelry, as well as your video games and computer parts and toys......thanks my wife is not able to walk and go to the flea markets like we did for the last 30-40 years.....Thank you and keep up the good work
I’m surprised we still haven’t run into each other Tom.
That lightsaber sort of a little after 4:40 is a bridgeport islanders toy they give away at the games
Oh ok. Thanks for the info.
Donald Duck canned grapefruit sections XD
Yeah, you find some odd stuff at flea markets sometimes.
Look for all the fishing stuff.
I saw some fishing stuff, but not much.
I really like this flea market it looks like fun what was your favorite thing there?
Oh, that's a tough question. I'd have to think about that one.
Its new englands largest weekly, Brimfield is larger 3x a year
Yes, definitely, but it's the biggest in Connecticut, weekly or otherwise, as far as I know.
I've never seen a flea market that charges to get in I would never pay to get into a flea market they get their money from the vendors and from the food stand
Is there enough room for someone elderly to use a walker there? Love the video, BTW ❤
Yes, I would say there is plenty of room for that. Glad you like the videos. Thanks!
they are kitchen clock apple covers
Oh, OK. That makes sense. Never seen those before.
At 1735 and your video there's a corning coffee pot on the table that's white that was recalled by the government and it should not even be for sale in fact I believe it's illegal to even sell it
Really? Why was it recalled?
@@fleabittenadventures it had something to do with the possibility of getting severe burns I'm pretty sure it had to do with the possibility of the handle falling off of the ceramic
You passed by Mr Machine.
How much was that vintage tricycle?
Not sure. Sorry
Is that Uranium glass safe?
It's only safe for display .
Yes, as long as you don't swallow it or eat off it, as far as I know.
Yes. Don't eat from it
I like your videos but not a fan of the collectibles, I’m more clocks and vintage electronic equipment oriented but there’s always something I wasn’t going to buy at elephants trunk , but I bought it anyway the old tv was a predicta made by philco in the late 50s
To each his own. If everyone collected the same stuff it would be kind of boring. Thanks for watching.
@@fleabittenadventures but lately sellers think they have gold, but it’s crap. Can’t buy anything cheap anymore. I like stormville garage sale in June and September, pick through the stuff people don’t want to take back home with them
I have no patience anymore for going through junk. The place looks disorganized. I didn't see anything I would buy but I appreciate your video. Never been to that place. Thank you !
I like searching through the junk to find the good stuff.
I agree. These weekly flea markets are never very well organized.
I always did well at the Trunk buying and selling.
Disney is the happiest place on earth, what's the issue.
My thoughts exactly.
I’m sorry but if that was my stuff I would be annoyed with that machine on it
Please do better at explaining yourself. This is a nearly thirty minute video. No one knows what you’re talking about. Providing a timestamp would have been the polite thing to do.
@@theetruth4267 She's talking about using the radiation detector on the uranium glass .
Why? It doesn't hurt it
Tom, I really love your videos on flea markets, they are really great but I think it's really horrible how you try to chew people down. I'm far from the richest person in the world but I always and I mean always pay what people are asking because after all they are paying rent to be there
I'm sorry you feel that way, but I believe that most dealers and sellers expect to negotiate. That's part of the fun of flea markets.
@@fleabittenadventures As a person that has set up at flea markets over the years, they expect people to ask for a lower price and set their prices higher so they can come down and the customer feels like they got a deal....has gone on for many years
Secret cavers is Howe Caverns less famous cousin, it is not too far from Howe, both near Cobleskill NY either off of Rte 7 or 20 (drawing a blank from some reason).
Ha, just hit play again and heard you looked it up!!!
I may go there someday and do a video, if they let me film.
