Hey there well known fella! Just seen your Korean desert video and marked the joint on my map. How about putting some alcohol based hand sanitizer and giving this damsel a little high five and making a colab? After all she disregarded the gravity of the situation and traveled without even flinching.

I really like to come to Bangkok for the Songkran festival which I miss my trip for the past 2 years due to Covid this year is no exception hope next year things might get better.
Hi Alina, it was nice to run into you at the coffee shop inside the Grand Palace the other day. I hope you are having a great time here in BKK. Great content by the way.
Well, well (or "так, так" in Russian :)... this city is really full of surprises! And this wonderful video - in which amazingly combined interesting boat fares (are cheaper than ground public transport in Moscow), cute folded chairs (so harmoniously fit into the unique architectural ensemble) 6:03, kind of BangkoCOVID-version of the "distracted boyfriend meme" 11:28 etc - is an additional confirmation of that. And yes, maybe it was a prejudice, but I think they in the Wat Pho really tried to choose the color of that nice skirt to match the Mcleod tartan pattern 😁 Seriously, another excellent work! Many thanks to You and Misha! 👍🏻
Just recently found your channel and have been watching through the videos, love them. Had the best holiday ever when I visited Thailand back in 2013, one week in Bangkok and two weeks in Phuket. Anyway just wanted to say thank you for bringing back the great memories, look forward to the next video 👍
When I visited the Grand Palace back in 2017, it was during Songkran. And the Thai people went there to mourn King Bhumibol who had just passed away 6 months prior. They were allowed to visit a special area in the Grand Palace only for Thai Citizens. And the amount of Thai people waiting to get in, filled a huge grassy field almost a half a mile long, outside of the palace. It was very sad because King Bhumibol was known as the people's King, they loved and adored him because of his down to earth nature and his connection with the people. FYI - King Bhumibol was actually born in Cambridge, Massachusetts while his father attended Harvard. He was the only Monarch to be born in the US.
Bhumibol (Rama 9) was a beloved leader and a great man. In his 70 year reign he built 476 Royal Project to teach and employ Thai citizens. I ride motorcycles all over Northwest Thailand and see many pictures of Rama 9 visiting local building and irrigation projects and interacting with local leaders.
@@topixfromthetropix1674 In 2017 when I visited, The Bangkok Art and Cultural Center dedicated it's theme to Rama 9 with many styles of Artist and their artwork of him, which was pretty impressive! And a few buildings around the area had murals of Rama 9. I'm glad I got to see the incredible artwork and just to know how much he was loved!
His reputations are all propaganda since the cold war (Thanks to the US). most of his royal projects are garbage. The fund of projects came from TAX, not from his own money. Not to say his money also came from people's TAX. (He was the richest king in the world till his death) And if you have doubt about his project. you can't ask him to declare how he used money in his project. If you did, you can get charge by article 112 (Lèse-majesté law).
Thank you Alina for being caring and generous and tipping local businesses handsomely everywhere you go. You are a wonderful human being. Absolutely loved your video it was fantastic.
It's fascinating seeing your reaction to Bangkok (a place I've lived for many years) after watching so many of your European vlogs! It's a great time to see the big attractions in peace. Papaya salad and "pad see ew" (which you pronounced perfectly) are everyday food here but you could just tell that restaurant did them up really well. I think you'll have a great time down south!
It's because of the new surge just hit Bangkok this week so all bars & night clubs are closed for 14 days. Next week is also a Thai New Year and a long public holiday so lots of people live and work in Bangkok start to travel to their hometown. All Songkran celebrations are cancelled so it will be very quiet in Bangkok next week. Hopefully things get better soon. Enjoy your trip and stay safe!

Hallo Alina! A most excellent video! Never been to Thailand at all, but it looks spectacular. Cheers and thank you for sharing another part of your journey with us.
Very nice start, Alina! You are right. That temple area must be a for sure place to see. They really used a lot of Gold Leaf, and probably a lot of solid gold also. Alina you are so lucky to have these amazing attractions for yourself. When I visited these in May 2019 the first day they were open after King Rama X coronation, there was thousands of Chinese tour groups and I'm not exaggerating was like sea of people with no concept of personal space. I did the Royal Palace complex, Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Golden Mount Wat Saket in a single day as was flying to Phuket next day, but started really early in the morning something like 8.00-8.30. I hope you are going to have fantastic time in Bangkok, there is so much to explore and enjoy in Thailand. Whilst in Bangkok definitely try the sky bars if open, the Ancient city in the outskirts, China town, floating markets, etc

You're so lucky to see the real beautiful place in Thailand.
Love Love Love these editing skills. You’re a boss, Alina 😎
She's great Erin
Thank you! My cousin actually did this one for me! Very talented :)
@@AlinaMcleod Thank you Erin for your kind words. Thailand doesn't hesitate during these times. Without delay they closed all bars knowing that Thai new years is next week. All around the city we are reminded of covid and how to be responsible. I have been here day 1 of Covid-19 and people know how to prepare. Let's hope for the entire world this will end soon.
@@Reporterfy We gotta just keep moving forward. Well, at least there was one good thing to come from the time that Thailand first shut down. TWO. WORDS. Pizza livestream. 😎
Excellent video Alina thank you
Yes,you're absolutely right that it's quite quiet at khawsarn rd.now because the outbreak of covid.Have I told you lately that there's a Thai restaurant called 'gun Thai food rest'at that area.Burger king shop is available at khawsarn rd.
Nice to see bangkok without being blocked by millions of tourists. Ive been 4 x and now i can actually see it.
More and more I am falling deeply in love with Alina Mcleod's spirituality!
I was in Bangkok with a friend and we negotiated with a boatman to take us to the floating market. Just the 3 of us.
It is so clean there.
Hi Alina, happy to see you doing a asia tour.
It's pleasure to see 100k subs on your channel. Awesome video, by the way)))
Thank you! You did a fabulous job!
Congratulations Alina for 100k 👍

The Temple is a once in a lifetime experience. So nice to see it & film it unobstructed. Stunning !
Absolutely!
For a few days, I lived across the street and at 9am they had free thai yoga and few tourists! It was great.
nice to see you after the quarantine!! stay safe!!
Looks like it would be too hot for an older man like me to walk around, but the beer looked cold and refreshing. The city looks beautiful, waiting for your live walkabout.
December-Feb..not too hot best time to travels.
TY for your video. The cheapest way to get from Way Phro to Khao San Road is on the river. It's a great way to travel.
