      Hey there well known fella! Just seen your Korean desert video and marked the joint on my map. How about putting some alcohol based hand sanitizer and giving this damsel a little high five and making a colab? After all she disregarded the gravity of the situation and traveled without even flinching.

      Dear Alina:I only know there are two Tim Horton shop located in bkk,one is opposite building to Juralongkorn university at the samyan intersection and the other one at future park ,bangkae,bkk.But the price is about usS7.50 for a sandwich called papani shredded pull pork filled with glass of hot coffee as your choice. You can try either taco bell near Timmy shop at the building I mention or you can have it marboonkrong center at first fl. near national stadium at phatum one intersection or at sukhumvit rd.across the Gateway mall.

    Not surprise when most of the comments so much like your video because the quality of the picture itself as well as your explanation throughout the vids.
    I visited the Grand Palace several times last year around July and October with obviously more crowded tourists but never have taken video so beautiful like yours. Keep continue your good work!
    Another hope is you will have good information about lovely places in Thailand and choose some of them to share us. Have a great time for all your trips. 😉

    Well, well (or "так, так" in Russian :)... this city is really full of surprises!
    And this wonderful video - in which amazingly combined interesting boat fares (are cheaper than ground public transport in Moscow), cute folded chairs (so harmoniously fit into the unique architectural ensemble) 6:03, kind of BangkoCOVID-version of the "distracted boyfriend meme" 11:28 etc - is an additional confirmation of that. And yes, maybe it was a prejudice, but I think they in the Wat Pho really tried to choose the color of that nice skirt to match the Mcleod tartan pattern 😁 Seriously, another excellent work! Many thanks to You and Misha! 👍🏻

    When I visited the Grand Palace back in 2017, it was during Songkran. And the Thai people went there to mourn King Bhumibol who had just passed away 6 months prior. They were allowed to visit a special area in the Grand Palace only for Thai Citizens. And the amount of Thai people waiting to get in, filled a huge grassy field almost a half a mile long, outside of the palace. It was very sad because King Bhumibol was known as the people's King, they loved and adored him because of his down to earth nature and his connection with the people. FYI - King Bhumibol was actually born in Cambridge, Massachusetts while his father attended Harvard. He was the only Monarch to be born in the US.

    • @topixfromthetropix1674
      @topixfromthetropix1674 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Bhumibol (Rama 9) was a beloved leader and a great man. In his 70 year reign he built 476 Royal Project to teach and employ Thai citizens. I ride motorcycles all over Northwest Thailand and see many pictures of Rama 9 visiting local building and irrigation projects and interacting with local leaders.

    • @mpireone
      @mpireone 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@topixfromthetropix1674 In 2017 when I visited, The Bangkok Art and Cultural Center dedicated it's theme to Rama 9 with many styles of Artist and their artwork of him, which was pretty impressive! And a few buildings around the area had murals of Rama 9. I'm glad I got to see the incredible artwork and just to know how much he was loved!

    • @Shutobu
      @Shutobu 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      His reputations are all propaganda since the cold war (Thanks to the US). most of his royal projects are garbage. The fund of projects came from TAX, not from his own money. Not to say his money also came from people's TAX. (He was the richest king in the world till his death)
      And if you have doubt about his project. you can't ask him to declare how he used money in his project. If you did, you can get charge by article 112 (Lèse-majesté law).

    It's fascinating seeing your reaction to Bangkok (a place I've lived for many years) after watching so many of your European vlogs! It's a great time to see the big attractions in peace. Papaya salad and "pad see ew" (which you pronounced perfectly) are everyday food here but you could just tell that restaurant did them up really well. I think you'll have a great time down south!

    It's because of the new surge just hit Bangkok this week so all bars & night clubs are closed for 14 days. Next week is also a Thai New Year and a long public holiday so lots of people live and work in Bangkok start to travel to their hometown. All Songkran celebrations are cancelled so it will be very quiet in Bangkok next week. Hopefully things get better soon. Enjoy your trip and stay safe!

      @@danielcyr6489 it's not that they have fallen behind but 2 things that matters: 1) when you hear a year long that almost all countries in the world has 4-5-6 figures of new dayly cases and your own country has less than 10, you feel secure and that it's fake security. 2) Maybe because of 1), is that from people that I asked, it seems people don't really want be vaccinated. Some because they think it's over already, many scared of the side effects and some don't want to spend the money.
      Even in my country we started vaccination in January and the governament planned to have most people vaccinated by june. Well, we are almost mid of April and we have 1/5 of people that had the first shot and 1/17 that got both. Thailand has 8 times more people than my county.
      Another problem, let's say Phuket and the plans to open in July, even if the governament get's 70% of the local people vaccinated, as soon as they open, there will be at least double of people there (talking only thais) that will come from other parts of thailand that are not vaccinated to work there.

    Bangkok is usually quiet during this period every year, especially there is no Songkran festival like this 2 years due to the pandemic situation. But it is considered a plus Because almost all attractions are quiet You can take pictures and watch the atmosphere quietly, not noisy, do not have to compete to visit places that are not busy, especially natural attractions such as the sea are more beautiful than every year.
    Many attractions you can visit while stay in Bangkok are
    1. The Giant Erawan Museum; by BTS at Erawan Station
    2. Bangkok Museum; by BTS next to MBK mall
    3. Chatuchak Market (weekend); by BTS at Mochit station
    4. Suan Pakkad Palace Museum, by BTS Phayathai
    5. Koh Kret (week end); small island in the River by River Boat (15-20 Baht)
    6. Wat Trimit (Golden Buddha) Soi Nana at China Town (not Monday); by MRT at Wat Mangkorn
    7. Museum Siam; by MRT at Sanam Chai
    8. Wat Saket (Golden Mount) & Wat Suthat (Giant Wing); by Taxi or Grab
    But if you like shopping you can start from MBK then Siam Discovery, Siam Center, Siam Paragon, Central World, Gaysorn Village. Emquatier, Icon Siam.

      2. The pandemic started in January 2020 last year . It is not 2 years YET . We did not have Songkran ( water festival last year - only once. Next week 13 th April we actually planed a festival , but the new cluster emerged 2 werks ago)...

      @@AlinaMcleod Thank you Erin for your kind words. Thailand doesn't hesitate during these times. Without delay they closed all bars knowing that Thai new years is next week. All around the city we are reminded of covid and how to be responsible. I have been here day 1 of Covid-19 and people know how to prepare. Let's hope for the entire world this will end soon.

    Alina you are so lucky to have these amazing attractions for yourself. When I visited these in May 2019 the first day they were open after King Rama X coronation, there was thousands of Chinese tour groups and I'm not exaggerating was like sea of people with no concept of personal space. I did the Royal Palace complex, Wat Pho, Wat Arun and Golden Mount Wat Saket in a single day as was flying to Phuket next day, but started really early in the morning something like 8.00-8.30. I hope you are going to have fantastic time in Bangkok, there is so much to explore and enjoy in Thailand. Whilst in Bangkok definitely try the sky bars if open, the Ancient city in the outskirts, China town, floating markets, etc

    I was in Bangkok with a friend and we negotiated with a boatman to take us to the floating market. Just the 3 of us.
