HIP HOP FAN'S FIRST TIME HEARING 'The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun' | GENUINE REACTION

- เผยแพร่เมื่อ 5 ก.พ. 2025
- So after trying to start this week off with 2 songs that happened to get blocked, I thought why not revisit some of the bands I have been listening to recently. Today we're checking out The Beatles and their song Here Comes The Sun. I wasn't too sure what to expect with Here Comes The Sun. The last Beatles song we listened to together had more of a dark and melancholy vibe to it so I'm that's what I was expecting a little from this one. Here Comes The Sun however was nothing like that at all. I feel as if this song showed me yet another side to The Beatles that I still hadn't really heard yet. It threw us straight in to that calm, upbeat and easy to listen to sound. It was definitely an enjoyable one.
Here is my reaction to hearing The Beatles - Here Comes The Sun for the first time. I hope you enjoy it!

George never got the credit he deserved "Something" is one of the most beautiful songs ever RIP George
exactly!!
“Something” was Sinatra’s favourite Beatles song. That tells you……. well, you can see where I’m going here.
Because John and Paul wouldn't do more of his songs. That's why George was the first to release a solo album. Was the first to have a #1 song. And he released a TRIPLE album that is the best selling solo album out of all of them. Those of us who know his greatness give him credit, but I understand what you're saying.
I love George's song What is Life.
"something" is my fav
Some years ago, I had cancer surgery. Whilein the hospital, and recovery rehab I started waking up at 5 AM to watch the sun come up in my window. Playing this song gave me the courage and strength to get thru the pain, the chemo, the side effects, one day at a time...
Bravo ! I hope you are feeling better.
@danielconley7042 yup. Coming up.on my 5 year survivor anniversary. No signs of recurrence. The song still works on me...
@larrystuder6378 Outstanding ! That helps my attitude today. I've been in a slump. Thank you for letting me lean on your strength. I really needed some good news. That's what I like about music. Sharing my love of things is what I love about reaction videos. Cheers to you, Larry, and best of luck!
While my guitar gently weeps- George Harrison!!!!!!!❤❤❤
One of the greatest songs of all time. Make sure you listen to the studio version first, not the live tribute version with Prince et al.
Absolutely, definitely agree! That'll give you maximum chills.@@femmegem1
'While My Guitar Gently Weeps,' please! Studio version. You will love it. It will blow your mind.
Didn’t Eric Clapton sit in on guitar for that one?
@@femmegem1 Studio version, THEN the live one as it is an awesome tribute and Prince really did shred that guitar.
And here we are, 60 years later , !😊
👍🎶🎶🎶😊
And it still gives me goosebumps!❤
@@jenniferg749 check out Angelina Jordan performing this song for a UNESCO(?) event.
She sings it wonderfully and the video behind her during her performance will bring you joy. I’m sure George would have approved.
Abbey Road is a masterpiece. A full album reaction would be incredible.
I committed on the same! Other reactors have played a whole LP...Here's hoping 🤞
Yes, Yes, Yes, Abbey Road!!!!
If you listen to Abby Road, don't break up side 2 into individual songs. It is really one composition and needs to be listened to as one.
Much has changed over the decades, but since I was about 11 yrs old, I have felt like Abbey Road may be the best album ever made. Yes full album!
For sure! OMG. 🎧
I was driving to work in a boring office job...with a classical music station on the radio...it was announced that George Harrison had passed. The host said something like 'on our station we like to feature composers who were overlooked and overshadowed. While we normally focus on classical music, we can't ignore George Harrison of the Beatles, who was overshadowed by the legendary songwriting duo of Lennon and McCartney. On this sad day of his passing, we will remember him with one of his ost beloved songs.' And on this classical music station- which normally wouldn't go near anything rock or pop...they played 'Here Comes the Sun' as I parked in a parkade that was a 10 minute walk from the building where I worked (I didn't have a parking space on site at my office, I was a nobody). I was already a bit late. But I parked and stayed in my car until Here Comes the Sun finished. I couldn't have done otherwise.
Absolutely wonderful. On the day of his passing it felt like the music had stopped. I searched for an "ode" to George and nothing seemed to work. Then "Blackbird" played on the radio. The Sarah McLachlin cover version. Paul expressed his loss of George was losing his little brother. Since Paul penned "Blackbird" it somehow felt right. Now when I hear Sarah's version I pause to listen, think of George ... then play something by him whether as a Beatle, solo or Traveling Wilbury.
I cried like a baby when George passed . Like he said all things must pass. I imagine George in the heavenly planets with Krishna ☮💜 and Namaste dear friends
George wrote this song while sitting in Eric Clapton's garden during a time of a lot of internal band strife. He said he'd been so busy and was so tired of the band animosity, but it was a sunny early morning while he was sitting out of doors, that he picked up an acoustic guitar and this song pretty much just came flowing out.
All TRUE
Considering that John and Paul didn't think so too much at the time. Mind you, having to compete with those two ultimately made him better.
I read that Clapton (CLAPTON!) was in awe watching this all-time classic song just being written for the Beatles right there in front of him in his garden. Pretty amazing when you can make Clapton feel like that. He knew he was witnessing something special.
@@RogerFarewell Yes, George was under two very large shadows.
@@robertreichle1 yes, I've read that as well. In my opinion, I think Eric had a bit of obsession with George; he seemed to want/be a part of a lot of stuff George was doing. Again, just my opinion because I obviously don't know what their relationship was really like.
In the early 1970s, I danced to this song every morning with my 2 yr old just to start the day with happy hearts. That little boy is now 54 years old and he remembers that this was "our song".
🤗🤗🤗🤗I love that!
Lol.. in the late 70s/ early 80s my son's and my song was Radar Love by Golden Earrings. He is 48 now and definitely remembers it as " our song". 💕
George Harrison was a gifted song writer. His song "Something," from the Abbey Road album as well, is considered one of the greatest love songs ever written.
...with Eric Clapton on solo guitar.
Something is one of my all time fav songs.
George was also very prolific after the Beatles broke off. Two songs, among many that spring to mind are; Crackerbox palace and Pure Smokey, both from his album 33 1/3. Pure Smokey was a tribute to Smokey Robinson, who he greatly admired.
@@AlanWilbar Eric Clapton played the guitar solo on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" on the White Album. George played the solo on "Something" which was on Abbey Road.
@@mrbungalowwillie Cheers, misidentified song.
You can hear what a gentle man George was just in the way he sings this song. I think he was a sensitive man, at least his writing leads me to believe this. He was unique and held a nice juxtaposition to the strong personalities of Paul and John. His songs always seemed spiritual to me.
Yes, George was sensitive, but he was very direct. He did not put up with bs.
@charlesbishop4000 yes heard that
George was my favorite Beatle. So underated. George had a great solo career, including being the founding member of the Traveling Wilburys.
Love the Traveling Wilburys
Not a big fan of The Beatles. But endless respect for George Harrison. He was a consummate musician. Not a diva at all. Just so much respect for his talent and his gracious handling of other musicians
My favourite also and this song is my favourite song - just makes me happy.
I absolutely LOVE "My Sweet Lord"
Before my wife and I were married we went on vacation to Yosemite NP. We stayed outside the park with the intention of meeting up with a friend for breakfast in The Ahwahnee Hotel. This meant we had to wake up before sunrise to drive from our hotel all the way into the park. On the way there we drove in the dark as it transitioned to Dawn through the rolling hills and eventually into the Sierras. This song came on the radio literally as the sun was rising. Still one of the coolest memories of my life. I proposed on that trip and we came back to get married in Toulemne Meadows 3 years later
I don’t usually watch reaction videos but the algorithm gods brought me here. You are the same age as my oldest grandchild. As so many have said before, it’s a true joy to watch you love the music I loved as a young person.
MollyBoy is absolutely a joy to watch. Easily one of the most authentic reactors.
@@3eperry check out a few more of his reactions - they really are entertaining.
Sometimes whether we get the reaction we’re looking for that reactor still hears that song and good music lives forever🎉😂❤
He's the best and I watch a lot of reaction videos but only subscribed to one.
I'm a Grandma in Texas, you are going to love this guy! He has a great vibe, good spirit, very nice, listens to all kinds of suggestions and really gets it and it's been a delight to watch him discover all these classics. Nice to meet you, I'm Tara by the way!
George Harrison:
1. While My Guitar Gently Weeps
2. Something
Absolutely!
Let's go for the Abbey Road album reaction! 👌🖤🤘
When you grow up with this music you never forget the words. My first album was the Beatles, I'm 68 yrs young and I still remember every word. Brilliant ❤
You need to hear “COME TOGETHER “!!!
Well really you need to hear so many of their songs!! Amazing!!
BEATLES!!!
I'm a negative and depressed person and have a lot of anger issues but this song always makes me smile and think of my dad for some reason. Glad that you really liked this song. One of my favorite Beatles songs of all time.
"Here Comes the Sun" is my 10 year old grandson's favorite song. The kid's got good taste.
good job grandma
I also love "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" - another Beatles song written and performed by George. You might also want to listen to some of George Harrison's solo work - "What is Life", "Give me Love", and "Got My Mind Set on You" to name a few.
Another vote for Abbey Road! 👍👍
Yes, Ringo sings and did a song “It Don’t Come Easy”. Good song. And “All You Have to Do Is Act Naturally” he sang when I was a teen.
And Octopus Garden ! Lol
'It don't come easy' is a great song. It was a co-write with George.
George wrote It Don’t ComeEasy entirely but originally it was credited solely to Starkey. Ringo years later admitted George actually wrote it and subsequently Harrison was added as composer
@subg8858 Ah, ok. Didn't know that. Thanks :)
Golden Slumbers is one of the most beautiful songs ever written.
Phil Collins does a cover of Golden Slumbers and does all the parts . Great video.
Abby road is one of my favorite albums! The golden slumbers medley is amazing can’t wait to see you check out more of their stuff!
You can't listen to this song and not have a big smile on your face!
Right!
George was my fav and his songs were unique and special! And yeah Ringo sings
I just heard a song you might like. Its by the Allman Brothers and called "Jessica ". Its an instrumental song one of the members after watching his young daughter playing in the yard. Its such a happy song.
@@LindaAtchison-qi2fmJessica's wonderful, an early Top Gear signature tune (BBC Motoring TV programme - before The Chain)
Everyone has their favorite Beatles songs. Frankly, there are so many brilliant Beatles songs that it’s nearly impossible to choose one, or two, or fifty. Their entire catalog is well worth listening to!
George is an underrated songwriter
The ability of The Beatles to put smiles on faces, I truly believe is a super power.
It never fails
George Harrison song. Great vocal and a really upbeat message during a troubled time.
"WHIKE MY GUITAR GEBTLY WEEPS" GEORGE!❤
Yes do the full Abby road bro
As a newbie to the Beatles, you're in for lots of great stuff.
Well done, Mollyboy!! George Harrison, my friend. He did some outstanding songs! While my guitar gently weeps, Something, My sweet Lord and many others, great work after the Beatles broke up as well. THANK YOU!!!!!!
I think the best way to fully appreciate the full spectrum of the Beatles talent is to listen to their music in chronological order. The incredible progression which this band accomplished in such a relatively small time frame is astonishing. Please consider this approach! Love your channel, young man!✌🏻
@ CooT317 I AGREE!! I am also going to encourage him to do that as well. To me it is just wrong to start with their last album that they recorded together. Makes NO sense to me.
MollyBoy...ABSOLUTELY..you have to listen to the whole Abbey Road Album... it is in IMHO there best album. DO YOURSELF A LIFE LONG FAVOR of Total ENJOYMENT. You wont regret it for sure !!!
My contribution to the 1.3k comments! : "Oh, Darling" (stank face rough McCartney vocals!), "Because" (goosebump harmonies!)
George Harrison wrote and sung this; some solo tracks by him: When We Were Fab, My Sweet Lord, Got My Mind Set on You.
George Harrison was also in The Traveling Wilburys along with Jeff Lynne (ELO), Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, and Roy Orbison
I love My Sweet Lord. Was funny that he had to pay up when the Chiffons said, “Hey! That’s ‘He’s So Fine’!” He had to concede that his song had to have been influenced by the melody, subconsciously of course.
"Got My Mind Set on You" is a song written and composed by Rudy Clark and originally recorded by James Ray in 1962, under the title "I've Got My Mind Set on You". An edited version of the song was released later that year.
Travelling Wilburys was George's (brilliant!) idea! George's 'All Those Years Ago' was a wonderful tribute to John.
@@buddyneher9359He's actually playing it in some clip I've seen from the Hard Days Night period.
George Martin and his production and orchestration added so much to the Beatles. You start with 4 musicians with limitless talent and then add a next-level producer, and the result is pure magic. They changed everything in the world of popular music.
Yes Yes Yes PLEASE do the whole Abbey Road album! You will love it!❤
Blackbird is a MUST!!!
"In My Life" is another top-tier Beatles song (my personal favorite)
@@jerryjackson7339 same!! My grandpa always said he wanted it played at his funeral 😔 😪 such a good song
@@fenderfox5080 Now I think that I want that! 🤔
I have my funeral planned, I want this song !
This song always brings a tear to my eye 😢
My first love was my Dad. My second, The Beatles. Thank you Dad❤
Yes to the Abby Road album 😊
This has always been my favorite Beatles song. Perfect to play when you're a little down, or just need an upbeat positive addition to your day.
George puts a capo on the guitar at the 7th fret. That's what makes the intro so fresh and light
Nice reaction, man. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with being confused over the voices at first. The more you dig in you will hear each of them with their own voices but you hear John and Paul and George together in one form of the other with backing vocals and lead, in most of their songs, but then Ringo joins on some of them. Ringo takes the lead on some of them as well, and he also had a couple of huge hits with the Beatles, like Yellow Submarine, for example. I love his voice as well.❤
Abbey Road is such an iconic album; I bet you would have a blast reacting to it, and the thing is, the track sequence on that is just so incredible, just like Pink Floyd.
And the unique Maxwell's Silver Hammer is my favorite Ringo song with Octopus' Garden second.
They’re considered the Greatest band of all time. All the bands that came out during the British Invasion had the same problem, they came out at the same time as the Beatles. Try their early songs ‘I saw her standing there”, ‘Twist and Shout”, “Nowhere Man”, “ I want to hold your hand”, “ I call your name” tons of music by them.
All great tunes definitely I wanna hold your hand
'Twist & Shout' is an Isley Brothers song, but I knew the Beatles' version first (as a 5 yr old) & still love it.
EARLY songs are my favorite! ❤
Abby Road is my favorite because my dad played it over and over because his brother came back from Vietnam because it came out before he came back. Come Together my favorite
Every Beatles album is its own thing. So they all appeal in different ways.
My man you are at the source code for every musician that came after the Beatles. Almost everything you hear in their songs is the first time the world heard that musicality. Amazing.
"Something", "Norwegian Wood" and "While my guitar gently weeps" are all sung by George Harrison. All are haunting and beautiful.
Great songs!!!
John Lennon sings Norwegian Wood.
@@deborahpaley21 Correct
That's what I was thinking. I wouldn't call them darker, like MollyBoy called 'A Day in the Life', but I think he'd appreciate the melancholy feel.
@@deborahpaley21 Sorry, my mistake.
George was amazing and special! He seemed to be a humble man and a creative genius! I do love the other Beatles and they all have great music and styles but Mr. Harrison was just uber fine ❣️❣️❣️
YES, ABBEY ROAD should be in your reaction future. It is the last recorded album from The BEATLES, and quite possibly their best!☮
I was listening to the radio when they interrupted their regular broadcast for Richard Nixon’s resignation speech. After it was over and they were going back to their regular schedule, the very first song they played was’Here Comes The Sun’. It’s why I firmly believe that radio should always be local and live. That DJ is my hero to this very day.
What a beautiful memory..,.thanks for sharing it
My great grandson is now a Beatle fan because of this song! He calls it the Sun Sun song. And yes I'm old but I love your channel and your honesty! Watch your reactions daily, keep up the good work! You did a fine job on Pink Floyd and waiting for more! Can't go wrong with 60s and 70s classic bands. They were full of talent, not computers and auto tune!
That is so awesome!
This and SOMETHING (also on Abby Road) are two of the most beautiful songs ever written. Also, George's WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS is simply gorgeous. HERE COMES THE SUN kicks off side 2 of ABBEY ROAD which is simply incredible and astonishingly brilliant. The whole album will blow you away.
They are called the fab four for good reason
Abbey Road is their best, IMHO. Please do a complete reaction to the whole album. I've been a front-rank fan of theirs since I first heard them in 1963 in the States. They were almost a religion in the 60's; we all loved them--still do! I stop and pay homage every time I hear a Beatles song. They feel almost like family. Good going, MollyBoy! Love your channel!
I’m biased because George will always be mine and my mum’s favourite Beatle. Even so, this, imo is one of their best songs. Guaranteed to make me happy whenever I hear it
Here, There and Everywhere will always be my favorite (from their 1966 Revolver album) because it has been "our song" since prom 1968💖
Got to the end, Ringo sang Yellow Submarine and Octopuses garden 💛 ✨️
And "With A Little Help From My Friends." And "Act Naturally."
robertmarriott6767 - Two of the worst songs by the Beatles, or anyone come to think of it. My opinion of course. I heard Julian Lennon got teased mercilessly by classmates taunting him with "We all live in a Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine, Yellow Submarine" over and over.
Ringo wrote Octopus’s Garden.
This is my favorite Beatles song!
George is my favorite Beatle and he has the best two songs on the album. I'm sure you'll eventually get to "Something".
My fav Beatle too. I bawled like a baby when he passed of cancer.
Yesterday and Let it Be are my fav Beatles. Yesterday is the most covered song of all time.
This song just makes a person smile and feel better🥰
One of my all time favourites songs . The Beatles were just so great.
Your choice made Grumpy Granny feel young again. Cruising in a convertible with the top down with this blaring from the speakers!! ❤❤❤
One of my all time favourites. I was brpought up in the UK and on a cold wet day there was nothing better than to dream of a warm golden sun listening to this. Perhaps thats why I now live in the sub-tropics. Its great that you are discovering these gems.
Yes do full Abbey Road!!!!
Other Beatles recording with George Harrison singing lead: Taxman, Something, While My Guitar Gently Weeps. There are many other great songs from his first solo album All Things Must Pass.

The “background music” for my young life!!
It is such a joy to watch you listen and react to great music….. your perceptions, and emotions are cool to experience …. And it gives me a feeling of connection, not only with the music, but with you!! Thanks Buddy!🎼🤪😜
I'd love an Abbey Road review. One of the greatest albums ever recorded!!! And if Paul and John let more of George's songs into the band, we'd have a lot more greatness like this. But that's why he was the first one to release a solo album - his third album, ALL THINGS MUST PASS, was a triple album, that was also the best selling solo album of any Beatle. RIP George and John
It's like you get it. I'm 70 years old, and grew up with bands like The Beatles. You would have had a great time finding real good music back in the 60's, and 70's. Some of the best music was around that time. You get it.

George Harrison sang this. Oh listen to My Guitar Gently Weeps. So beautiful. ❤
All exited for the Beatles❤
so happy you gave shout out to the drum beat holding it all together.. 🥁🥁 percussion is so great, iconic uplifter...one of a kind Beatles song, ( among so many). thanks, loved your reaction ☀️☀️🌞🌞
The Beatles - Eleanor Rigby 🎸🥁🎶📻
A great tune! I believe it is a name on a local headstone they saw and wrote the song about it.
Yes, apparently, the headstone, in a cemetery in Liverpool, just had her name, and the dates of the day she was born, and the day she died.
I would love a whole Abbey Road!! Quick note about the album though, most of the 2nd half is a medley, starting (I believe) at You Never Give Me Your Money. I would advise you to not pause from that song till the end as most of the songs transition into each other and is intended to be listened to all the way through without interruption. Hope to see it soon!
Yes! Do react to Abbey Road, Declan!😀
I remember my hippie days, when you'd have a party and people would just crash for the night on couches, bean bags, floor, whatever. And one morning like that, when the sunlight was coming through the windows and people were waking, one of the guys picked up his guitar and softly sang this song. I think of that morning every time I hear it. 🌞☮️
Loving Ringo’s flourishes!
I love Ringo and I think he is underrated. He did what he did and it enhanced the song. He didn't draw attention to himself.
Genius, the man was and is a genius!
You had the greatest idea creating this channel, firstly for your own good but for us, your audience, and specifically your "older" audience, it is a great reminder of the MAGNIFICIENT music from 60s - 70s - 80s - 90s we were so very lucky to hear, cry, dance to as it came out. Great memories come back and just seeing you enjoying it as much as we did, is beautiful!
Well done!! thank you for your posts!😘😘
Abby road is my favourite beetles album so love this album
Love the Beatles as much today as the 12-year-old me back in ‘64. George has been my favorite since day one. ♥️🎶♥️☀️♥️
You know Declan, your range of music reactions is getting so far and wide and I love how much more knowledgeable they are to the various genre's your passing on.
It's hard to say what genre certain Beatles songs belong to because they were so creative we heard songs in styles never heard before. Also, George sang lead on "Here Comes the Sun", and George and Paul sang the backing vocals. John wasn't in the studio that day. According to Wikipedia he was recovering from a car accident.
If you want to react to something really fun about the Beatles, watch the movie "Yesterday".
Mellow and Magical
Epic Beatles 💯
I haven’t seen yet a reaction video to Crosby, Stills and Nash. You must hear them!
I love these trips into my memories. Tuning the car radio, wind blowing in the windows and singing as loud as we could. Good times not forgotten. Thanks again! 😊❤
They’re a great band to do full album reactions for, especially the later albums. Hearing the songs in order and context really is a whole different experience. 100% up for a Beatles album reactions rabbit hole. 👍🏻👍🏻
George's songs are my favorite Beatles tunes. And as far as performing goes, I'd rather see him jamming with Clapton. They're so great together. ❤
The Beatles have so many different styles, creativity to the max, the best.
👍💜💜💜💜When I sunk into a severe depression at college(uni), hearing the school bell tower toll out this song was always soothing.
Yasssss! My favorite song by the Beatles! We lived in Guam back in ‘78 - 82. The military’s broadcast was called AFRTS (Armed Forces Television and Radio). Back then, tv turned off at some time and when it started for the day it started with Here comes the Sun whilst showing the sun coming up. That is a memory deeply rooted in my heart.
Abbey Road is my favorite Beatle album. I tend to like the more Rockin' stuff, so it fits the bill.
Yes, Ringo Starr sings. All four Beatles had successful solo careers! IMHO, their Abby Road album was their greatest release! Thank you for another great reaction and analysis! ✌💙✌
