My favourite Beatles song. Pure emotion. Perfect pop song. 1000x better than anything written in the last 50 years.
George!! RIP 🙏 and John both are missed
George Harrison my favorite Beatle and one of my favorite Beatle songs.
Simple song but very inspiring.
Everyday day we wake up and see the sun, should inspire everyone that life is a gift. Just like the Sun

Your favorite Beatles song is always the one you just heard. 😏
Greatest band ever, the Beatles are in a category by themselves. I feel very fortunate to have seen them in concert in 1965.
George Harrison. EVERYONE knows that. Most underrated and best Beatle IMO.
Harrison is more underrated than Ringo?
Don't know if you this, buts it a bit difficult to be underrated in THE BEATLES
@@slevin6544 So you even know what the word "underrated" means? I'm thinking that's a no.
@@SG-js2qn You're kidding right? Not even in the same league. Ringo wrote 6 songs Harrison 141 solo and 21 with the Beatles.
@@dirish709 I think you're making my case that he's underrated. If songwriting is the criterion, then sure, Harrison wrote more songs than Ringo.
But that can't be the criterion, right? Because Paul has written over a thousand songs ... way more than Harrison.
In his career with the Beatles, Lennon helped pen 84 songs while Harrison contributed to 22.
So it's not about songwriting, because if it was, then Harrison would deserve a low rating. If Harrison is underrated, it's because his talent is underestimated. People tend to think Ringo had no talent ... at least until they try to replicate his drumming. That's when they begin to appreciate his creativity and skill in that area. He created room for everyone, and highlighted the rest of the band instead of dominating it. A highly skilled, true team player in an industry filled with egos.
George wrote this after being inspired while walking in Eric Claptons garden in early spring.
He was in Eric's garden playing hooky from Beatles business meetings
While George was in Erics garden Eric was in Patty Boyds garden
Yes Eric rolled a joint as well awesome true story.
I miss those days ago well.
@@garymeyer4243 LOL
Dam, exactly what I was going to say.
Written and sung by George Harrison
Just a great song.
"Here Comes The Sun" is on the Beatles 1969 album "Abbey Road". It was written by George Harrison. Such a happy optimistic feeling song. George also wrote the song "Something" on the same Abbey Road album.
George wrote this uplifting song which was wonderfully produced by George Martin. He also wrote Something, which is arguably the most beautiful love song ever. What can you say other than that the Beatles were the best band ever.
As someone in another comments section said, it goes to show how good they actually were when their third best songwriter could write music this good.
"Here Comes the Sun" is my 9 year old grandson's favorite song. He inherited his good taste in music from Nana. 😉
That’s awesome. 😆
Mr. George Harrison
Obviously so
@@garyarnett1220Nana’s cool 😌
I'm willing to be Nana has NEVER spoiled her grandson.
This is exactly what every Swede thinks when spring comes. after months of darkness.
Then we turn our heads towards the sun and close our eyes.
Canadians as well
In Seattle, this song is played on the radio repeatedly in the spring after the winter rains have ended.
One of the few George Harrison songs. This and "Something" are two of the my most favorites Beatles songs ever.
“While My Guitar Gently Weeps”, is another damn good, Harrison composition/performance.
George usually got 2 songs on every album. But he could have gotten more... He had so many saved up that as soon as the Beatles broke up he released a triple album, All Things Must Pass.
He exploded with songs after they broke up.
@@Richard2003 he had many songs written before the breakup. That's why All Things Must Pass was a triple album.
To me George was the greatest Beatle. He was by far the best musician. John and Paul did not want his songs on most albums, seeing that they controlled that... He got a song or two.
"Could you capture 'happy' any better?" is the PERFECT description for this song.
George wrote WHILE MY GUITAR GENTLY WEEPS, a great song covered by a lot of other bands.
And Jeff Healey, who did a great version.
For a completely different take on this great song, try Kenny Rankin. Beautiful combination of music, voice, and production.@@CB-xr1eg
Including an epic live guitar solo by Prince.
Harrison was so underrated while with the Beatles how far their music came in just a little over 6 years is amazing
She can recognize greatness when she hears it. She smiled and swayed. This recording was decades old but was still able to elicit an enjoyable reaction. Rock and Roll endures.
John and Paul, 'we write the greatest songs' . George to Ringo, ' hold my coat'. 😆
George wrote 22 beatle songs.. in cluding While my guitar gently weeps.. he also wrote other songs, Circles and so on, that went on to his own album..
@@edwardsadler3348 He also wrote the Beatles most streamed (by a long way) song. Here Come the Sun.
Fun story with this song, when my 3 boys were younger every time we would leave the house and it was a beautiful day I would sing this chorus "Here comes the sun de de de da do" then one day as I had the radio on in the car the song came on. My boys were shocked, they said Mom thats your song! lol.
This song is not as easy as it sounds. The time signature goes from 4/4 to 11/8 to 7/8.
I always said: this is an example for a perfect written and performed song.
Not only my favorite Beatle (george) song but my favorite song of all time. Stops me in my tracks to do nothing but listen and feel peace.
To me George was by far the best songwriter and musician in the Beatles.
Mine too. Ever since it was released.
I'm not actually a huge fan of theirs but this song is a real exception. George should have been let off the writing leash more often.
I didn't realize how complex this song was until my wife learned it to perform. The timing of the song changes every couple of bars (and even that is staggered). It sounds so easy and gentle but really it's impressively complex.
Neither anybody in the Beatles entourage nor in fact anybody realized just how much of a genius they also had in George.
One song by 'The Beatles' which doesn't ge played or reacted to much is: "Hey, Bulldog", it's a fun song and there's a great video of the recording of it on TH-cam too.
Back in 1969, this was the tele no. to reach the Beatles in London. Block letters [ BEATLES ] hold their name in the mirror. With a little imagination, the letters turn into numbers. When we tried it back then it actually worked!
This was used in the UK as the intro to a TV show about holiday destinations.
George H!
George Harrison, my favorite Beatle. He also wrote "My Guitar Gently Weeps", another great ditty. o
George wrote another beautiful song called Something.
@@tommyk6719 I know it well. I agree. 6
This song is like a warm comforting blanket. Gently joyful and full of love.
Most songs of the Beatles were written by Lennon and McCartney, but the few that George Harrison contributed, like Here Comes the Sun and Something, are real gems.
George Harrison states in his autobiography, I, Me, Mine: "Here Comes the Sun" was written at the time when Apple was getting like school, where we had to go and be businessmen: 'Sign this' and 'sign that. ' Anyway, it seems as if winter in England goes on forever, by the time spring comes you really deserve it.
Here Comes the Sun is thus a song about hope. We all go through difficult times, difficult moments in our life. And some of these moments feel like they last a long time -- just like the long, cold, lonely winter. But eventually it does change, the winter does end.
This joyous song was written by George Harrison who is also singing lead.🌞
Not only did the Beatles make amazing music, but they were the first to do a lot of the techniques. Every album was something entirely new.
You said "the Beatles had the Clap at the end!
Whaaaat the eff???😮❤
My Sweet George ❤❤❤🎸🎸🎸🎸
Ya just can't beat the Beatles.
George Harrison wrote 3 of the greatest Beatles tunes of all, including "Here Comes the Sun," "Something," and "While My Guitar Gently Weeps." Very underrated as a writer. "Something" is on "Abbey Road."
Their first American TV appearance was on The Ed Sullivan Show live from NYC in 1964, I watched with my family and never for got that experience 59 years later.
George Harrison had some great songs in his life. He also belonged to a supergroup called The Traveling Wilburys that also had a few great hits.
Here comes a band member comes with an initial song idea, they listen to it and each band member adds to it and it is eventually refined and produced for it's public release ... Forever Amazing! :)
This song has been stuck in my head since 1969.
the title and several commenters are saying its a "happy" song and it was inspired by a garden. Listen to it again and pay attention. its written from a very sad place. "Long cold lonely winter. years since its been clear." it was inspired by the stress and trauma of the Beatles final days and George's marital problems. He's HOPING things will get better. "I feel the ice is SLOWELY melting". he is hoping that things might get better, buts its really quite a sad song. he's attempting to sooth the pain by repeating that "it's alright". The happy uplifting arrangement is really him trying to talk himself out of depression.
Great points.
Hello Phil & Sam, The Beatles have been a Big Part of my life and they have been in my life from the first time I saw them in 1964 on The Ed Sullivan Show as a fascinated kid who eventually became a Musician and when George Harrison wrote this it was instantly a Banger
This and Something are (imho) the two greatest songs George ever wrote. He really outdid himself; they are both legendary.
George said this was towards the end of the legal proceedings. For me, with poor health, it’s coming out the end of another Winter and hope again 🙏 Always floods of tears with this hymn for the future
I think it hits when there’s that key change- it’s like it’s lifting your spirits right along with the music. While George wasn’t given many songs on the albums, his were some of the most iconic!
I was in Vietnam during the monsoon season and it had been raining for a month straight. We were taking a break on a mountain top when suddenly the clouds cleared and the sun came out. I looked up and in my head I was singing this at the top of my voice and it made me feel so happy. I will never forget that moment. By the way, George wrote and sang this song.
I live in Scotland where the weather is shit and overcast most of the year, we don’t get long endless summer months(I so wish we did) so this song makes me so happy and gives me this excitement in my belly whenever I play it around this time of year cause I know the summer is round the corner
George wrote it! ONE of my favorites! Thanks!
George Harrisons - Here comes the sun 😎🇧🇻
George’s life and music (after the Beatles) is a very interesting rabbit hole to fall into
♥ this song!
Always a comfort song for the ages. Wonderful reaction! Consider TheTraveling Wilburys ( George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne, Tom Petty, and Roy Orbison) "End of the Line". A joy to see and hear them together
Guess we should do Roy Orbison first!
You should check out the live rooftop performance of the song "Don't Let Me Down". Super cool, with Billy Preston on the keys.
Peace
Here Comes The Sun, While My Guitar Gentley Weeps and Something all written by George Harrison are actually my top 3 Beatles songs
I don’t know what it is about George, but he makes you feel so good……..and besides, he is so darn cute! Best Beatle ever!
In the George Harrison documentary titled: "Living in the Material World," Paul McCartney mentioned that he and John noticed at around this time how much George's songwriting had improved to the point where he said, "his writing is as good as ours." This wasn't the case at the beginning of the Beatle's career "where George's writing wasn't that particularly good." WOW...I think being around 2 musical songwriting geniuses all the time.....something is about to rub off !!!! Thank you for the excellent reaction!!!!
This has been my wake-up alarm for years. Never had the urge to change it.
There was never a video to this song , it just came out last year
I am a early gen X. As a small child in a rural area, I remember hearing this song often on the AM radio my mom had on all day. This would have been early 70s.
In my opinion the best song George ever wrote and also how perfect is Ringo's drumming on this track?!?
Thanks for sharing. Unmistakably a George Harrison song, and vocal. I was 9 when the Beatles hit America. Had a Beatle wig, and wore Beatle boots. Quite a fun period of the 60’s.
Its "A George" ! Love this beautiful tune !
It was George & Erick Clapton talking about how cold, and snowy that winter in Great Britan.
*Eric. Not ERICK
I was born in 1959 , my in 1923 he was a Beatles fan , played acoustic guitar in the bars he frequented , i inherited my dad's style in music . San Antonio , Texas 🌞😀
Grew up in the '60s(grade school) - never got into the Beatles but I loved the version of Hey Jude that we played in High School Jazz Band.
One of George Harrison's best. He wrote it in his garden while waiting for Eric Clapton. The photo's of The Beatles' in this video are from their very last photo shoot.as a group.
George also wrote the song 'Something' on the same album. An outstanding song.
It is such a beautiful day today where I live and the sun is shining brightly and you could not have picked a better song to accent the days experience... While I don't like the fact that I'm getting older , I am glad that I am old enough at age 67 to have experienced the beginning of the Beatles and the British invasion and Motown and I loved it all... This is one of the ultimate feel good songs of that era... I owned 3 Beatles albums during the 1960's... I had their 1st album called "Meet the Beatles"The Beatles 1965 and 1966 albums... Listening to that song really took me back and brought back a lot of memories... Thank you so much for reacting to this song... It brightened up my day a little bit for me and I'm grateful for that... You guys are doing awesome as reactors... I'll see you on the next one... Keep Being Awesome !!!...
@dewman0269 We are BOTH lucky to have experienced the Beatles from the first time they arrived in the States on Feb 7, 1964 for their first live TV appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on Feb.9, 1964....60 years ago. I was 16/17 years old in 1964, and went to both Cleveland concerts on Sept.15, 1964 and again on August 14, 1966 It was a fantastic time to be a teenager I MISS those days!
Thank you! So glad you had a great day!
The most beautiful song ever recorded… ‘nuff said!
Eric Clapton had not yet got out of bed. So George Harrison. sat in his garden waiting for Eric to get ready. At that moment, the sun came out and shone on the garden. It had been a long and cold winter and a poor start to Spring but at that moment, the sun came out and as he was waiting this song came to him, so George decided to write the song there and then..
George Harrison wrote “Here Comes the Sun”. He also wrote “Taxman” and if you haven’t heard that one, you should check it out.
Harrison was also the first Beatle to have a number 1 song after they broke up. Guess that’s why he’s called the Dark Horse.
Just an awesome song! Like you said a happy song!! So great!!🌞🌞🔥🔥
He recorded it at home partially. The album is called McCartney
George Harrison wrote and sang this song. One of my top 3 favorite Beatles songs. Thanks for reacting!
George wrote this and lead singer
What a SONG! Marketing me from child!!!
Bravo! ❤
I actually posted this song to Facebook when the 2020 US presidential election was decided with an homage to my father. He was a retired Lt. Col. in the Army who passed in July 2020 from Covid and was alarmed that we ever had the other guy as prez.
The Beatles at their masterful creative peak in my opinion. Melodic, beautifully crafted, performed and recorded. Harrison emerged from Lennon/McCartney song writing shadow with this and “Something” from the same album.
To describe this song as simple is not giving it much credit. Handling the various time signature changes with such fluidity and grace is a credit to the musicianship these guys had and is just part of their genius.
Rest In Peace George
I play this loudly the first warm day of spring every year. I love it.
Loved your comments.
Sgt.Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Love this song from my second favorite Beatles album. My favorite being Revolver.
Y'all should watch the movie "Yesterday"...it's a great movie kinda about the Beatles. I think you guys would enjoy it.
Anything from abby road is worthchecking out!
We had a sunny day just a couple days ago, that we hadn't had in weeks. The song fits.
Yes definitely George everybody does know that he definitely was underestimated he was awesome
Two other great compositions by George are "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" and "Something" I suggest you give them a listen.
Sam & Phil, great reaction as always. To answer your question as to who wrote this song, it was George Harrison, who was the most spiritual of all The Beatles.
I think what is overlooked is how well produced the song is. Vocals, synthesizer, drums, guitar, and as always Paul's bass. It is a simple masterpiece. RIP George.
More and more and more beatle songs ❤❤
I get chills. That is all. ♡
This was the very first song that KGON (Portland, OR) played when they went on-air all those years ago.
Ok so you did here comes the sun. Now it's time to react to Rain. Another great song and it really shows off Ringo's talents. Great song that may be underrepresented
