Fantastic work! I saw somewhere that it’s better to have an 85 on (than to shoot without and then adjust in post), as colors translate better to (darkroom) print this way… don’t know for sure, but I believe it because that’s how it was done [ie. with filters] pre-digital/PS

Thank you! I agree about 85b filter. I do print in darkroom, so fixing WB in post is not an option. Cinestill 800T prints very well too.

Instead of using 800T with a warming filter, you can just use 400D and essentially have the same thing? No? The warming filter takes a stop of light, right?

I’ve had a bunch of shortdated Cinestill 800, so used what I had 😅 Not sure if warming filter takes a full stop of light. I’d assume it takes 1/4 of a stop by looking at its color? Anyways I do prefer the flexibility of 800iso film instead of 400iso.

@@AnalogueDiaries Tiffen's 85B filter requires an additional 0.6 stops of exposure to compensate for the filter according to their documentation. That brings your 800T pretty close to the 400D in terms of sensitivity. I don't think you're gaining much - other than take the filter off when there is Tungsten light :)

That was exactly my point 😌 sometimes I meter at 800, sometimes at 400 or less. So iso800 is more versatile.

When you're metering at 800 with the filter on, you are underexposing 0.6 stops though - that was my point. ;)
