Taylor, thank you for the review. When using the app, can you have it in more than one phone? Could you and your husband have access to it? Thank you 😊
Yes! But I do believe it is limited to ONLY 2 different devices having access to the same Hatch. So very possible for each parent to have access. 😊 Thank you so much for your comment.
Preparing for baby number 3 and considering buying one of these. I was thinking it would be handy mostly as a nightlight since we bed-share and baby will nap in our room during the day too
Congratulations on baby #3! I still really love ours to this day. Right now, my favorite part is that it's nice because I can adjust the brightness without affecting the sound if I want to check up on my daughter!
Hello, I believe that it should turn on the same way both on and off of the base as long as it's charged, which is by holding your hand over the top (on the metal ring) for a few seconds.
I'm thinking about getting the Hotmoon sound machine. Would you be interested in checking it out? It's got some seriously cool features that set it apart from the rest as per the description
Yes! I love that the app makes it so easy! One thing I like too is that we'll be able to use it for a long time! Sometimes with baby items I really like them, but you only use them for 3-4 months. haha. I love when I actually find something that will last a few years. 😂
There is not. You can only do the preloaded options... On the newest ones they have what they call the "sound library" and apparently there are a lot more options in that, but still no option to use your own sounds.
I would say no. We have actually done this multiple times when staying at hotels or on vacation and it has never bothered me.. And I am TERRIBLE at sleeping with lights. At the lowest setting, the clock is not any brighter than the light itself on the lowest setting. I keep my clock set at 2% brightness and it is bright enough to see but not be a bother.
I would also say that worst case you can turn the clock off OR you can rotate it a bit and the light is not bright enough that it would reflect back off a wall or anything if it as turned around.
I've never had one, but I believe a Google Nest is more of a smart speaker and I'm not sure if it has a nightlight feature.. whereas this is a night light/sound machine.
I got two for my baby shower. It’s nice but for the price it’s not worth it. We didn’t use this for our other two babies so it’s not necessary it’s just a luxury.
Definitely agree it's a luxury and not a necessity.. did you use a different sound machine for your other 2 babies or did you not use one? Super curious what you used if you had an alternative you liked! ☺️
Totally agree. The only beneficial part I really appreciated was being able to adjust the Hatch from the app while I'm in bed or another room. The wind and water sounds aren't distinguishable enough to justify them taking up half the sound options. Additionally, I found I really needed an actual speaker to play music for my baby for casual listening and dancing.
Sorry, this video was actually made before they had a subscription and to this day I do not have a subscription and am still able to do what I need to. Sorry I don't have any info on the subscription.
This product is awful. Stay away! When the app works, it's terrible. Setting up schedules, etc is extremely clunky and time-consuming. Our app has stopped working altogether. You can't set up or change schedules anymore and some just disappeared after the last update. Great idea, but terrible quality and support.
So sorry you're having this experience! I haven't had any issues with the app or product itself. I hope you find something that works better for you! Thanks for watching.

Hi how do you get it to turn on when it’s off the base?

We have the regular hatch and love it! It’s so nice that it has an app to control it!

Loved it until it stopped working gotta find an alternative for the week now
Oh no!! 🤦🏼♀️ We would definitely struggle if ours quit working! Good luck!
Mine stopped working too. Hatch's website recommends using a paperclip to press the reset button. That worked for me, luckily.
Is there an option to add personal sounds/songs via the app?

@@taylormichael. OK. Thanks for your response! :-)
Is the clock too bright? If it was on your bedside would that be annoying to the eye? I always get bothered by lights on electronics and cover them

Sooooo basically this is a Google Nest... but Google just doesn't have the baby monitor 😂

@@taylormichael. to be completely honest I used a sound app on my phone for white noise haha.

No mention of the 50 dollar a year subscription?? This product is just an expensive cash grab! Everything locked behind a pay wall! So disappointed!!

It’s not worth it. Buy it and keep the box because it will fail after 1.5 year. I read reviews and kept my box lol I just returned it at target 🤷🏻♀️
I actually have seen these reviews as well... We are coming up on 1.5 years of having mine, so I'm super curious to see if it lasts.
Both of mine did the same thing. Wish I would’ve saved the box.
“functionable” is not a word lol but thanks for the review!
😂🤷🏼♀️ haha thanks for watching!
@@taylormichael.lmao like wtf? took time out of his day just to comment that. first time girl dad here! my daughter loves this thing!
