We love Riverside and have been staying there every Disney world vacation since 1994 (back when it was Dixie Landings). Sad to see some of the theming in the room removed but I think that is the way Disney are going in general. Great video Deni, makes me wish I was there now ❤
My husband and I have stayed there at least 14 of our 35 years going to Disney. We love Riverside, I believe it's the best moderate Resort on property. We love Yeehaw Bob, we love the pools, we just love everything about Riverside. The food court is amazing for moderate Resort. We like to walk to French Quarter and watch the jazz band at Scat Cat Club. It's a great value for your money. We have joined DVC so we don't stay there anymore and watching this brings back many many memories! Thank you, Deni and Brian!!
Yay! It’s Deni and Brian! 🥰Superb video of Riverside! I wanted to see more of Fulton’s Store-Mercantile. I love that store. 🥰 The more I see Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the more I am glad that Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter have a ride that celebrates those resorts!🥳🎉
Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite resort. It’s always well maintained and much more peaceful than other resorts. Plus I like the option to take a boat to Disney Springs
My father-in-law used to say " if you drink your coffee black, you can always get it the way you want it". He wasn't wrong and I learned. Loved this video.
Wifey and I love Riverside. Princess room always. We love the food court for breakfast. The "water Uber" down to Disney Springs each night is amazing. Eat and drink and drink then take a great boat ride back. All around a nice resort.
Agree on creamers. We just want cream in a pitcher! We don’t want wasteful packaging. We don’t want added ingredients like corn syrup. Whatever, just give us some half and half. It is not too much to ask 😂
Denni, thank you so much for sharing your visit to Riverside; I love this resort. We enjoyed wandering around all the winding paths in the bayou area. We stayed here by mistake, we had actually booked into the French Quarter, but ended up preferring RS and kept coming back. Looking forward to watching your dinner at Boatwrights. Take care x
Port Orleans Riverside was my first moderate resort and I just can’t stay at any other Moderate. Love love arriving to the resort after a long day at the parks and the sound of the crickets and walking thru that “river” it’s relaxing.
Riverside was my first Disney Resort and I love it! It's so mellow and welcoming. We've also stayed at French Quarter and I really like that too. It's quaint, relaxing and has a lot of character. Our go to for moderate is Coronado...the tower specifically. The resort is stunning at night, there are food choices galore and the tower just speaks for itself.
The Port Orleans resorts are our favorites. They’re so relaxing! One note on the curtain to the sink area. That is actually a benefit to our family over the deluxe resorts. We have two teens and it allows one of us to be using the toilet or shower behind the commode room door, while another is changing in the curtain area, and the rest of us are in the main bed area. Without that curtain, everyone would be waiting to use the commode room to change.
Stayed at Riverside in 2009 in an Aligator Bayou room & loved the Sasagoula River, so much so that we had our ne t two trips at OKW. Next year we are staying at French Quarter after a 9 year gap from WDW - very excited, especially as they are refurbishing the rooms there ( and hopefully getting rid of that curtain!) I also hear they have half and half in their food court!
We’ve stayed at Riverside 4 times, te 5th will be this coming November. Have stayed at 2 other resorts, this is our favorite. Best things: boat to Disney Springs, quiet pools, landscaping and long walks in the evening.
Have been looking forward to seeing this one; my wife and I stayed at French Quarter but were very curious about this one, especially because we had read about Boatwright's (hope I spelled that correctly ... I will edit, if not).
I stayed there about 15 year’s ago with my two kids, 10 and 12. We did 10 days at Pop Century then 5 days at Port Orleans. You couldn’t stay longer than 10 days and I thought we’d stay at the nicer hotel last. It cost the same price for both hotels even though Pop was twice the amount of days. I really liked taking the boat ride to Disney Springs.
Great video Deni! My husband and I stayed at All Star Movies this past April and an actual sliding door separated the bathroom and bedroom areas and that’s a value resort so yes I totally agree the curtain has to go! We stayed at Riverside back in 1999 and the rooms were so much better looking back then - more rustic and much more theming - based on this review I wouldn’t stay there so thank you for doing these reviews for us! P.S. I’m also growing out my pixie cut - how do you do it?! Help!! 😂
Riverside is one of my favorite resorts! Love the Alligator Bayou section. Stayed there with my kids when they had a trundle bed for the 5th sleeper. Came at Christmas and actually purchased a Chriatmas tree and had it in the window...looked amazing in that section! Thanks for the great video!
Just a tip.. try to check in, in person. You might get pixie dusted, when a cast member sees a person and it’s not going through in line, they tend to help more. Been a dvc member since 2003. Just found your channel. Great video!
Hey Deni! Gonna have to add Riverside to my must stay list. A couple friends have stayed there a few times. Best way to eat a poboy - in the eyes of this NOLA native - is open faced with a knife & fork. On our roast beef poboys we have what’s called “debris gravy” which is gravy with some extra shredded pieces of beef in it.

Our fav moderate. Great video, thank you!
This is such a great video! My daughter is dancing at Disney World and this is the hotel we chose to stay at. It's perfect!
I hope that you have THE BEST time at Riverside! Thanks so much for watching!❤
Our favorite resort!!! It's the perfect Non-Park day. There is so much to do and it's so peaceful.
@@p.j.driton4528 peaceful is the PERFECT word for it!❤️

Deni thank you for this! After alot of research I've been considering PORiverside as my first ever moderate and this was just perfect. ❤

My family has enjoyed ALL of the moderate resorts!

Yes!!! Gran Destino Tower is perfect. ❤️
Walking around the grounds truly gives me a deluxe resort vibe.
@@p.j.driton4528 I totally agree!!
The AB-2292 stamp on the 'crate' stands for Alligator Bayou February 2nd, 1992 from the opened date of Port Orleans Riverside. Fun fact!
That’s awesome!

I stayed there shortly after the resort opened as Dixie Landings. It’s a beautiful resort. But my favorite is the sister resort, French Quarter

Love everything but the shower curtains, we'll and the dust. I do not like shower curtains in hotels.
I'd definitely love a scrubbable solid surface door in there!

Yummm… that sounds delicious!😋 😊
Okay...that sounds like something I NEED to try!
checking in allows an upgrade ! also instacart can be stowed for early arrival
upgraded to the mansions and received a golf cart ride at midnight from bell service
One nightstand for potentially four guests?! A veritable travesty!I I don't like the curtains either. Nice video!
Amen! A travesty lol! Thanks so much for watching!
The story of why the alligator Bayou buildings are different is very interesting. Research it I would butcher the story.
Increase speed to 1.5 your welcome 😂
