I loved Nell. I discovered her and give me a break in 2020, I was born in 95. I’ve been a fan ever since. I do wish she had more of a music career, or something to enhance her legacy. Even though she’s no longer here on earth, you rarely hear anything about her or her career
"Be kind. Every person you meet is fighting a difficult battle." Anonymous RIP Nell and Andy
Man I loved this show! Nell Carter was beautiful and SO talented! And Andy Gibb had the voice of an angel! Just like his brothers. Two great Artist that are terribly missed! Gone but never ever for gotten!
They sound beautiful together . So sad that these two amazing singers are not with us anymore. What a beautiful voice andy gibb had. He has that quiver in his voice ,like his brothers do. Cant believe how long ago this was . Time goes by before you even notice. So sad that andy struggled so much in life. Rest in peace andy gibb and nell carter
Their voices so nice together.
I remember when Nell and Andy sang together for the first time in television history and they became friends with each other in the 80's
Two legends that left this existence too soon, dealing with personal demons we may not ever comprehend. So much more raw and touching than the original. ✌🏼
i don't use the word "demons" that's more negative than saying they had personal issues or were addicts.
First Andy then Nell, both very talented singers
@@dfangirl72No IDIOT. She was diabetic not bcuz of drugs. Worry about your family's drug use
Fame. What s feeling.❤. Irene!
R.I.P. Andy Gibb and Nell Carter
I remember watching this episode with my parents. Brings back happy memories. Nell and Andy left us way too soon. But, thankfully, I still have my parents.
Love their version better than the original

Simply gorgeous..RIP Nell and Andy. We miss you but your music still is keeping us close.
Nell Carter with the voice of an Angel -- what a great duet
If they had iTunes or Social Media in those days this would have sold a million bajillion copies. Probably in the USA alone not counting Australia and Europe. There were only 3 networks.
Listening in 2021🙌🏾❤️RIP NELL AND ANDY❤️🥀❤️🥀this should been recorded. This is so good🙌🏾❤️💯
This is better than the original version
When she sang this and the song when her dad died, it was very emotional!!
My childhood crush. This little white boy recognized beauty and talent. RIP, Miss Nell.
One way to heaven, Jesus Christ.

A beautiful version indeed and I remember it like it was yesterday❤❤❤
Nell I still miss you and andy
Why NBC never put this on Friday Night Videos or on MTV, as music single I'll never know. Look at the sales of Billy Vera after Family Ties.
Who knows what tomorrow brings
In a world few hearts survive
All I know is the way I feel
When it's real, I keep it alive
The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb a step every day
Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the world below
Up where the clear winds blow
Some hang on to used to be
Live their lives looking behind
All we have is here and now
All our lives, out there to find
The road is long
There are mountains in our way
But we climb a step every day
Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the world we know
Where the clear winds blow
Time goes by
No time to cry
Life's you and I
Alive today
Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
Far from the world we know
Where the clear winds blow
Love lift us up where we belong
Where the eagles cry
On a mountain high
Love lift us up where we belong
A Duet in Heaven. God Bless You Both.
I love this rendition by Andy Gibb and Neil Carter ❤ Andy
R.I.P Andy Dolph Howard and Nell
I miss him so much. This was a great duet
rip, miss mary wilson, too.
Andy my favorite we gee he was so good looking and handsome
One has a recording sweeter softer studio voice, and one has a that powerful broadway belt. One of them just does not need a microphone to be heard in the back of the theater.
ANDY. Dulce precioso. Amo Adoro tu voz 😍

Who's here from the I Am All In Podcast?
Thank you for everything! Here’s a little something for you: th-cam.com/video/ZFgro4GnnT4/w-d-xo.html
Gimme A Break, like most sitcoms of that error, was a terribly dreadful show. But Carter was a beacon of life in the muck. Such a talent she was. So sad the life she endured (rape, drugs, having to hide her lesbianism, etc) which manifested in her in becoming a difficult actress; she was mean to her co-stars, a tyrant on the set, and very temperamental, which is why post GaB, she had a rougher time sustaining a career despite that talent. I hope she - and Gibb - are resting at peace, their demons long battled.
I don't know if you were complimenting her or tryna burn her at the stake.
Wth was that? Why do people have to mention all of the horrible things that someone experienced never mentioning that they overcame anything?
That was one of the greatest shows ever.
@@andresuston7692 Wasn't trying to do either. Just contemplating, while I was watching this, her tortured life.
@@TheJan68 Amen and Amen and Amen! I agree
Gorgeous rendition. My goodness what amazing talents these two young people were. How lucky that this has been recorded for posterity and to enjoy for all time.
