MGSV is my personal favorite game in the series because the message it sends to the player is saddening and true in so many ways. When hero’s come into the world do we ever acknowledge the people who helped them, never, especially those who did all the work.
Venom was so above his league that Solid needed to appeal for the use of an RPG to take him out instead of fighting fair lmao the man was a menace, and did all this with just 1 arm.

Yeah, mission 51 would have sucked, just a quiet exit on steroids and the plot point of Eli having his parasites just removed by baby mantis goes against the point the game made about removing the parasites severely damaging the host so... yeah I don't think it would have been as good as it seems But damn it what about Chico?
Venom punching the mirror was him shattering the image of his former self and life. The Medic died 9 years ago and in the flames of that hospital Big Boss' Phantom was born.
You’re correct , the him from 9 years ago was dead and the him in the moment was also about to die. Those gunshots in the back are his soldiers getting blown apart by SOLID SNAKE and he knows the real deal grim reaper has finally come for him.
I think Venom Snake is such a badass character. There's always felt like there were two men called Big Boss. The leader of Foxhound. And the leader of Outer Heaven.

It’s kinda insane that some random Medic, one that was probably at best, proficient in just medical stuff, was able to be as good if not better than Big Boss in combat through just some memory fuckery. Outside of the fact that the medic was apart of Big Boss’ old PMC, and that he was a medic, we have no knowledge on anything about him. We don’t know if the Medic had some sort of condition, or bad genes at all, yet this guy was able to become as good at combat as Big Boss through some memory fuckery and plastic surgery. And we don’t even know the guy’s name. We don’t know if he had a family, we don’t know if he had a lover. We don’t even know where he’s from. Imagine how that would feel, not only realizing you aren’t who you thought you were, but that you now remember who you were. What happened to the life the medic was forced to leave behind just so Big Boss could work from the shadows? How did the medic feel having to remember everything and be forced to abandon everything of his old life? We don’t know. And that’s why the Medic is one of the most fascinating characters in all of MGS.
If you look at his stats you can see that he has no s rank at anything, but he's A-overall. So he was not some medic, but one of the closest and best soldiers of Big Boss.
Combat Medics are usually the most respected and hardened infantrymen on the Battlefield. No idea who said but one of the characters says that he was the best of us in the squad. You can also see his empathy in The Phantom Pain shine through and make unexpected turns.
Nurture over Nature is a major theme in MGS. Liquid was obssesed with proving his superiority over the genetically superior Solid Snake- Only for us to learn that Solid was actually "inferior", and still beat him
the "ending" of this game always gave me chills ..like venom had his entire identity stolen from underneath him and is left with some ones else's legacy that would one day lead him to an extremely violent and dare I say pathetic conclusion at the hand of big bosses unwanted clone offspring

Keep in mind that Venom was such a fanboy that he probably would have jumped on this mission no questions asked. This admiration does not make Big Boss less of a scumbag though, he robbed Medic of his identity without asking, he used V as a sacrificial lamb during Operation Intruder N313 and no matter how much a friend he is to Big Boss, Venom will always be burdened to carry the legend upon his name. I think Venom would not consider this a Burden probably due to his "fanboyerism" towards BB but still, a scumbag move imo.

Venom, Devil, Punished he went through so many, 9 years of coma, loss of memory and personality, infection with parasites, death of friends, loss of an arm and numerous scars, a fragment that literally made him a devil, he was a scapegoat, a bait, thrown at the mercy of the world he was destined to be Punished for the Big Boss's misdeeds, several times he was one step away from death, he lost a lot good fighters because of Skullface, he was forced to fight in a war where he was not even destined to win, but still he survived, coped, remained loyal even after he learned the truth, became even better than Big Boss. Ahab the medic died on that helicopter and a Phantom was born in the fire of the hospital who was destined to take on the burden of the Demon and become the second half of BB. Venom is truly legendary.

The game is incomplete, yes, and I wish it wasn't. But it is, and that's the game we have and the game we love. Continuously repeating that the game wasn't finished doesn’t do anything and doesn’t get any conversation anywhere. Yes it's unfinished, WE KNOW, can't we appreciate what we got? Appreciate even the flaws? How despite the whole structure of the game is completely flawed, Kojima still managed to tie the themes of the story to the game? That doesn't mean the same as "it was unfinished on purpose and Kojima is a genius", hell I don't even know if it was on purpose, but I'm not here to appreciate Kojima, this is a love letter to the game. The main problem the whole game has, being very incomplete, accidentally or not, neatly ties up with the main theme of revenge and feeling a phantom pain, isn't that kinda beautiful in a way?
He was discussed buy zero act of cloning him for the reasons he did it for and ended all relations with him for it, and this was also zero plan that he was in the middle of it, he could have kept him ignorant of the whole situation till he dies but he made the tape for a reason , and he has a mental copy of BB but also he told him , you are your own man and your own mark, so you can see why from the lines said there.
Venom snake I wish him and quiet had a romance ending where they go away together and try to find peace but some of us men cry about this ending and the truth
Metal Gear Solid V (MGSV) is one of my personal favorite games. As a primarily PC player, I found it to be an excellent game for the platform. I’ve also played Metal Gear Solid 3, which I know is widely regarded as the best in the series by many fans. However, for me, MGSV stands out-not just for its PC-friendly controls but also for its incredible gameplay. While it does have its flaws, I still think it’s a fantastic game. I only wish it had been developed a bit further to reach its full potential, but even as it is, it’s a masterpiece in my eyes.
In an alternate universe, we got the mgsv hideo wanted to make and it one of the greatest games ever made. I like to day dream about a series of missions of you having to defend outer haven from probing attacks then eventually an un winnable boss fight against solid snake. Leading us into the events of the old 8bit metal gear games and metal gear solid.

fantastically put together even though its not my favorite version of the song. unless you count the new keyboard part added to this version. that i love. the video and sound editing you did here is nothing short of masterful. i look forward to playing the newest version of this game, online again, once i get a more advanced device with which to play it.

@@RetribuseSnake sometimes I forget such a great looking game came out on the Xbox 360. Not sure what the differences would be aside from framrate, but Yeah, the Xbox one version is great. Loved growing up with that game. Though the PC version is probably the true definitive version

How saddening, we never got the answers. what happened? To the Naked Big Boss, The Phantom and The Venom? One went to get his own Outer Heaven, other vanished while the last is fighting for a higher cause? Greater good? What were we fighting for? Who are we? We have lost so much in the search, even ourselves. Truly a pity, sad - the story never finished. My first ever fully finished and most favorite game in the series, it was beautiful as I knew and played it. Here's to hope we may someday get the answers left untold, MGSVI - Vi is yet to come to.

Those both are the original big boss , venom was only the leader of Diamond Dogs while the original was building outer heaven

My favorite fallen hero in fiction, the big boss. He deserves the title of the first snake, and the man who sold the world.
Big boss hated the idea of cloning, yet here we are in mgsv.
To be fair, it was Zeros plan and it was well underway by the time Big Boss woke up. He was basically told what was happening and then went with it.
Venom wasn't really clone, he was more of a doppelganger.

Metal Gear Solid V (MGSV) is one of my personal favorite games. As a primarily PC player, I found it to be an excellent game for the platform. I’ve also played Metal Gear Solid 3, which I know is widely regarded as the best in the series by many fans. However, for me, MGSV stands out-not just for its PC-friendly controls but also for its incredible gameplay. While it does have its flaws, I still think it’s a fantastic game. I only wish it had been developed a bit further to reach its full potential, but even as it is, it’s a masterpiece in my eyes.
In an alternate universe, we got the mgsv hideo wanted to make and it one of the greatest games ever made.
I like to day dream about a series of missions of you having to defend outer haven from probing attacks then eventually an un winnable boss fight against solid snake. Leading us into the events of the old 8bit metal gear games and metal gear solid.
Too bad that reality isn’t the one we are in but that doesn’t mean we can’t dream of having one

fantastically put together even though its not my favorite version of the song. unless you count the new keyboard part added to this version. that i love. the video and sound editing you did here is nothing short of masterful. i look forward to playing the newest version of this game, online again, once i get a more advanced device with which to play it.

@@RetribuseSnake sometimes I forget such a great looking game came out on the Xbox 360. Not sure what the differences would be aside from framrate, but Yeah, the Xbox one version is great. Loved growing up with that game. Though the PC version is probably the true definitive version
@@anthonyf616 yeah because of the music options. i got that game when i was 28. My wife and I were cramped in our appartment while Snake and Quiet were cramped in the chopper. those were the days.

How saddening, we never got the answers. what happened? To the Naked Big Boss, The Phantom and The Venom? One went to get his own Outer Heaven, other vanished while the last is fighting for a higher cause? Greater good? What were we fighting for? Who are we? We have lost so much in the search, even ourselves. Truly a pity, sad - the story never finished.
My first ever fully finished and most favorite game in the series, it was beautiful as I knew and played it. Here's to hope we may someday get the answers left untold, MGSVI - Vi is yet to come to.
