Hi Charlene. I’m glad to have found your channel. Your videos are very informative and I’m looking forward to seeing more of your art in action. I’m a practitioner of Chinese Kempo in the United States. It is an art that has its roots in Southern China and made its way through Okinawa and arrived her in the States. We also have a similar looking form called Tiger and Crane!

With weapons like fan, bench, and umbrella you know this martial art belongs to the streets.

You shouldn’t look at this as purely self defense. This is a very old and perfected art form. A war dance, if you will. Charlene here is the very definition of fitness and sophistication. She looks good and makes it look fun. That being said, I bet she still beat your ass hahahahahahaha

Don't forget to add THE WHOLE WORLD; walking stick/cane, chop sticks, tea cups, jacket, belt, shopping cart, refrigerator door, broken bottle(s), other people/life forms, broom, sandal(s),... the whole surrounding and everything like Jackie Chan,... everything ever used... and more.

Finally there's some one promoting Hung Ga / Southern Chinese kung fu in Cantonese with modern elements. For the longest time it's been either growing in foreign communities or in Mandarin only. Keep up the good work. Looking forward to more of your productions. Oh btw, nice bod with good skills helps too.

Beautiful using these weapons :). But I have one question. Why are sabers and swords so flexible? Shouldn't they be heavy, stiff? They are useful in real fight (more than heavy sword and saber)? Or is it only for demonstration? I'm sorry to ask you this, but it makes me wonder.

Why does dan dao and straight sword have such a thin and trembling blade? Did real swords have such a blade? Why is this beneficial? Rather, it just seems weak and useless for real use.
