    • 林家洪拳 The world of hung...
    Translation by Virktor Nordgren
    subtitles by Frank Bolte
I tried to make it as readable as possible..the main problem is that cantonese is way faster than english so its kinda hard sometimes to keep up reading the subtitles ...

    幾十年前我就住在你的醫館對面,因手痛看過林師傅你,被你醫好,再一次謝謝你!但現在後悔沒跟你學功夫呢!當時看到你徒弟打拳,好羨慕。

Hung Ga, Hung Kuen, or Hung Ga Kuen is a southern Chinese martial art belonging to the southern shaolin styles. It is associated with the Cantonese folk hero Wong Fei Hung, a Hung Ga master.

Aloha, My name is Spencer White, I love Hung Ga and i am trying to promote it and make it more known out here in Hawaii..
can you please post more videos, possibly of applications against kickboxing style attacks!?!?! Thats what people wonder and would like to see.. i truly believe that Hung Kuen can still be effecftive today and Id love to see the right people get behind it and use it in the proper trial and error processes to make Hung Ga an effective fighting art today by sparring against MMA fighters, Boxers, and Kickboxers as well as sparring against other arts such as Wing Chun, Taekwondo and Karate practitioners... I have been doing that here on Honolulu now for the past 12 years proving the fighting profeciency of Hung Kuen..
Thank you for helping promote an art that i love, i hope you continue to post videos on Hung Gar...
Hung Ga men should accept challenges to other styles and post. The training is China is so much harder then what is taught in America, I would love to see 5 top Hung Ga men from Southern China vs. 5 Kickboxers, and boxers from America in a striking match with minimal gear or padding..

Hung Ga is an art, and not something you can learn overnight, and you must be a master of it to use it in self defense. It contains a lot of sweeping and tripping movements, along with deadly open hand techniques. Learn to kick box with the techniques of hung gar, if you want to defend yourself against KB

My question is does this differ at all from Wing Chun stickiness and Chum Kiu "Building the Bridge"? The concept sounds pretty similar. I'm opened to being corrected

Thanks for watchin and commenting, yes it different cos in hung gar the bridge is for what it is..we use the bridge to get from a to b..we dont stay on the bridge..surely there are similarities when it comes to react on impulses..still different. all the best

This unique of Cantonese dialect, you don't understand the language properly, just like we don't understand English , for example play music, play movie. I also don't like this word play , but we just follow and respect the other people language.

@@manalex6467 I understand Cantonese perfectly well. I grew up speaking Cantonese. I think it's mostly a Hong Kong thing to use 'play' instead of "da gong fu".
