- Cleveland Browns GM, Sonny Weaver Jr. (Kevin Costner), goes through the ups and downs of what happens during the days leading up until the NFL draft. When he makes some questionable trades with the Seattle Seahawks and Jacksonville Jaguars, Browns owner Anthony Molina threatens to fire him. But what happens out of the chaos comes an incredible outcome.

Great review. I love this movie and have seen it many times. Does it have obvious flaws and Hollywood embellishment, yes. But I love the cast and it's a fun flick.
I agree. I have just seen this movie earlier today whilst visiting an ill friend in a hospice. We were watching this movie on the screen in his room.
It reinforces my idea to put a 10th CFL Team in Quebec City because the interest and funding are there. Plus there is enough talent and capital to put a strong CFL team on the field.
This of course applies to the CFL and not the NFL, though the basic thinking remains the same.
What’s the point of the intermingled clips of real NFL games in a fictitious movie?
