- This is part two of a video to introduce a Scout II specific LS engine mount set. These should be ready to ship by March 2014. In the video, on one side of the Scout, we go from stock mount to LS mount, start to finish, in well under 10 minutes! With our positioning jigs, if you have your stock engine already pulled, you can easily go from that to your LS hanging in the engine bay in a half hour! This will make things much quicker and easier!
Well ..... perfect video . My son just blew up my old stock 345 yesterday. So .... I’ll be calling you for parts and helpful info
Do these mounts and jig work on a scout 80. I have a 65 I am going to put a 4.8ls and a nv3500 into
Very cool Mike. I really like it. Keep up the good work.
J from AZ.
Literally received these mounts Saturday, about to go dive into it today. They were sent to me by my customer. It says Scout II on your website... guess I am about to find out if they will work on this 1970 Scout 800A.
If this works for your scout 800 will you let me know, I also have a 68 800 that would like to swap as well.
@@seanreid1704 - they did not work. I sent them back. Went through another vendor, still waiting for the mounts. Ordered March 15th.
Anxious for this to be released! Also sad that the domain shown at the beginning of the video doesn't go anywhere...
Does this work if the scout came with a inline 6 or is this for v8s only
Looks really good where can I get a set or a kit?
do you now if these will work on a round body 4x4 Travelall?
Como puedo con seguir esas bases

How much for mounts please
What happened to lsscout.com?
Wow those original mounts broke off real easy. To easy in my opinion
Nice fab Mike, do a 7.4!
I do know where an 8.1 is sitting in a local junkyard...
even better!
You must own a gas station....
no, only drive that(an mine) in the summer months up north!
Well, the real kit provides a jig for the drivers side only. It didnt sit well on the frame, and had the mount pointed towards the passenger side. More than 10 minutes of grinding was required to just fit one side!! Then you have to bolt the mounts to the engine and hang it from a cherry picker and set up the passenger side. Not horrible, but sure as hell no "under 10 minute job" For the record this is being done by a professional shop, by experienced techs, not some backyard dipshits.
+Spoolinwagon Sorry to hear you had trouble. So far, we have had two folks have problems (since we went to the single jig kit described in a second...), with dozens of sets sold.
As explained in the instructions we send with the kit, we did change them to work with a single jig, using the engine to make sure the distance between the two sides is correct. Reason for this is simple: The IH frame tolerances are so far off, we had trouble with the two jig setup. We have measured the distances between framerails on several Scouts, and find over 1/4" of variation! That makes a lot of difference, lol! So with the one jig positioning the engine, and the engine itself making the second side fall in the correct place, we have had you and one other person with an issue. We found that USPS has somehow made 1/4" thick steel bend in shipping, on our jigs. I thought we made them bombproof...but evidently not USPS proof!
