Cool beans. Finally getting fiber where I live.. I saw them using this machine, and thought it dug a ditch as it moved to lay fiber in, then bury. So it basically a small oil drilling rig lol. Was wondering how they put fiber in without days of it riding up and down my property digging up dirt.

You must have a lot of overhead if you got a person to load 6' rods on that drill.
Operator can't load them??

I run the pretty much the same drill, I load my own rods but sometimes I get help because operator fatigue and if someone loads them for you it goes faster

The better tools do all the rod loading and unloading automatically without a 2nd person.

existing pipes are found in advance and the tool can be directed to go above or below obstacles as needed. As the boring tool is moved, it's vertical location is tracked using another device not shown. I watched as 400-500 feet shots (length of run) done in a residential neighborhood with all sorts of utilities running perpendicular to the newly installed conduit, they never damaged the existing infrastructure.
