Rocky’s arc ended perfectly. After everything he’s been through in losing almost everyone he loves, he finally gets to settle down and spend time with his grandson who resembles Adrain and he passes the torch down to Adonis. He literally said to him at the end of Creed 2 “it’s your time now”. Bringing Rocky back wouldn’t make sense

I wanted more boxing, more training, more Majors, more build up. Our one moment of Majors in the ring, where we see him analyzing his opponent, detecting weakness, like a velociraptor, I loved that. I wanted to see Majors work his way up to the title fight, I wanted to see inside his journal, inside his mind and motivations. And Creed, I felt like there wasn't enough about Adonis's own conflict, his guilt and any sense of softness, doubt about retiring.

However, I thought the last training sequence and fight happened a bit too quickly. I was glad that Adonis didn’t get his ass kicked at any point, outside of sparing with Drago. We already saw it in Creed I&II. And speaking of Drago, I was glad to see him return. But more importantly, I’m glad Dame didn’t cheat or specifically go for Adonis’ prior injuries. That would have been too easy a road to go down. Another great Creed movie.

I've watched Creed 3. I am a big fan of all the previous movies but something was just missing in this one.
There were quite a few scenes where I was thinking if they had just made it a little different then it would've been better. With all these added up, it made me a bit annoyed.
The music did not appeal to me at all, but it doesn't seem aimed at me. It was a bit similar in Creed 2 but at least the training montage songs were catchy in that.
I will add that I think I understand why the film was delayed because there was a big plot point shown in the first trailer that didn't end up in the final film as well as some other scenes that would've benefitted the film. So I think they spent the time in editing to change the tone.
Overall though it was ok but it just didn't hit me like previous films. My overall mood ATM in my life is not great, so this may very well affect my opinion of the film.

I really liked the film, you could tell it was directed differently and the camera work was phenomenal, some of the coolest shots I’ve ever seen in a film. Also - majors was so good, he played the role amazingly
My only critique would be that it felt like the film started off with a nice slow build up and then really rushed to the last fight, and it all seemed a bit out of nowhere. To the point where at some point I was wondering if they were setting up the fight for the next film because it didn’t seem like there was enough time to get it in… I think the run time needed another half an hour to really build up the last fight and analyse how creed had changed since his retirement

Yes. Majors needed two fights at least. The block stlyes he used feels forced. I didn’t appreciate the montage final fight rounds with the symbolism and metaphors. It almost felt forced and out of place to me. But it made me think of black on black tensions in real life. All in all it left me wanting more.

Jonathan Major is great, but I can't help that feeling that there's something missing from his character arc, between the live call on TV and the last fight. It's just a shame when real world business gets in the way of creativity and storytelling. I do think it's time for the Creed series to be solely about Creed, but I also think Rocky should be in one scene, even if it's brief. Apollo and Mickey didn't have to be in Rocky III, but they both were, and it impacted the story well without taking away from it being "Rocky's story." Here's hoping if there is a Creed IV that Rocky returns for a meaningful scene with Adonis.

I kind of wish they delved deeper into him as a villain. Also, the final fight wasn't super memorable, but I can't really blame them since these final fights have been done a hundred times, so it's hard to make it super unique at this point. You know what's fitting? The original Rocky movies were a HUGE influence in a lot of what we see in shonen manga and anime. Just watch Hajime no Ippo and you'll see what you mean. Rocky IV is a shonen anime. So in a way for this franchise to take inspiration from anime is just going full circle.

I watched Creed 3 yesterday. Can I just say, I think Jonathan Majors was REALLY channeling Tom Hardy, his performance reminded me of Hardy's performance in Warriors and Mad Max, the way his face moved, I dunno, just got mayor Hardy vibes, WHICH IS A GREAT THING. It was weird that Rocky was basically not mentioned in the movie. The story with Adonis' mom would have maybe felt more impactful if it was Rocky. But overall this was a really touching and emotional movie with great performances by the leads and probably THE BEST CHOREOGRAPHED fight scenes in the entire frenchise, very likely the best fight scenes in any boxing movie, there was tactics and technique and it felt both grounded but also elevated at the same time. I am wondering if there is going to be a Creed 4, maybe with D's daughter in the lead, who knows, I see potential for an ongoing story.

I will miss Stallone in this movies, but Michael B Jordan has proved to be worthy to carry his legacy, and it's Time for him to shine on his own.

I didn’t find the movie all that great. It was ok, but the weakest of the three in my opinion. It was just too unrealistic for me. A lot of the things that were happening were rushed and could’ve been flushed out more. But that’s just me. Probably because I actually know boxing and my knowledge of that sort of ruined the movie for me.

Could it be that Chris is in the moment and somehow feels attracted to Michael B Jordan in the sense that he's a first time director, anime fan and some other things they have in common? And he's more in the mist of the moment? Not to say the movie is not good or that Adonis cannot stand on his own but Rocky there as a cameo is always a great thing maybe from an elder person perspective

Maybe not in this one because it will be focusing more on Jonathan Majors's "Dom" but, I would love maybe in 4 Adonis and Viktor train a lot together and maybe even become friends. Adonis also finally finds some inner peace about what happened between his dad and Ivan.
