You need to do a little educating. There never was a drug problem until America poked it's nose into the drugs policy in the UK, back when heroin was on the NHS. It was prescribed to addicts, with a policy like this you didn't find dealers in every road, or cartels shipping wagons full of it. Sure there was illicit use, but it was 0.01% of the problem today. This was before the LSD craze, but even that was never as bad as the picture painted by the media. The attitude we have to fight it has made it worse and it's only because of the racist war of black people (by attacking drugs) policy the US pushed onto us. It's probably too late to fix it but there is no harm in trying.
@@carlosandleon actually this would be a great idea, but not in the way you think. By placing drugs under doctor/pharmacy/patient control, you remove the need for drug users to buy on the street illegally from uncontrolled sources. The dealers eventually go away. The users have no need to steal to feed their habit and therefore crime goes down and some get back to work, helping to regulate their lives again. It sounds counter productive, but we never used to have a serious drug crime issue in the UK until we changed our laws to suit the US who we were under the thumb at the time.

1. Licence plates only need to be readable from the front or back of the vehicle no law states they have to be in the middle - not illegal 2. The wheel can protrude upto 30mm outside of the wheel arch as long as the tyre is covered you can also get extenders to make the wheels stick out more - not ilegal 3. There is no legal requirement for a "back box" the law only covers the amount of noise produced - not ilegal 4. Sunstrips aren't ilegal as long as the don't impead the drivers vision and there is no required height for them as everyone is a different height - not ilegal 5. Vehicles do not need to be fitted with airbags in specific places such as the steering wheel - not ilegal One AGAIN total misinformation from the police making a car the was already road legal make a load of unnecessary changes to justify there job 🙄 Don't believe everything people in high vi's tell you lol
This is from VOSA on MOT and it’s been this way for quite a while. The tester must, as far as practicable, check that all airbags fitted as original equipment are present and not obviously defective, and the vehicle should fail if an airbag is obviously missing or defective. The only exemption to this is:- Where a vehicle has been extensively modified or converted, Reasons for Rejection for components missing where fitted as standard should not be applied, for example: a car converted for rally use
A lack of backbox would make it louder than "average". Although there is no measurement in db on the MOT, it is the tester's decision if something modified or faulty is "louder than average" for the given model. So, by discretion it could be illegal as it would fail an MOT.
The licence plate was wrapped around the front rather than being straight, that's why it was changed. The sunstrip probably came down into the drivers vision area and was not letting in the required 75% light.
Look, legitimately. Coming from Australia where car mods are harder than you could imagine. This is cool, a cop actually helping ab enthusiast re-jig the car to be street legal, but still pretty cool. In Australia, we'd get a yellow sticker saying defective and if we don't get it "compliant" ourselves, forget it, might even get cubed. seems like this bloke is keen on encouraging enthusiats, but still keeping it legal. Good on him.
It like picking eating dirt over dog poo. Yea it's preferable but it still sucks. What really is annoying is how me makes it sound like he's doing him a favor and he made the car better.
what the cop is saying is a lie, though. There is no legal requirement for a backbox. Wheels can extend up to 30mm past wheel arches as long as the tyre is covered. Sunstrips are legal, as long as wipers don't go over them when active(you can simply get shorter wiper blades)
This is the second time I've seen this 30mm rule in these comments. How can you have the wheel stick out farther than the tire unless you're mounting under-width tires on the wheels? I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that mounting under-width tires, due to safety concerns, would only be legal until you get caught. 3cm seems to be an excessive amount of rim protrusion. I'm honestly trying to picture it. It's not like cars are running offset rims like big trucks that have the hub and lug nuts protruding beyond the side of the tire.

You are legally allowed to remove a steering wheel with airbag. If you have a dedicated track car that's driven on the road. You can also legally remove the ABS.
You don't have to have lights fitted to a motorcycle either if it's for daytime use. You can present it for an MOT with none.

Hah. Try german car laws. To enter a part into the papers you also need them to come with a certificate making the few legal parts very expensive.

The police officer never referred to the speed of the car what i do remember him referring to is half Georges view being tinted endangering others and key safety features
Do you have any coception of how mutch effort is put on reducing drug use?
You need to do a little educating. There never was a drug problem until America poked it's nose into the drugs policy in the UK, back when heroin was on the NHS. It was prescribed to addicts, with a policy like this you didn't find dealers in every road, or cartels shipping wagons full of it. Sure there was illicit use, but it was 0.01% of the problem today. This was before the LSD craze, but even that was never as bad as the picture painted by the media.
The attitude we have to fight it has made it worse and it's only because of the racist war of black people (by attacking drugs) policy the US pushed onto us. It's probably too late to fix it but there is no harm in trying.
do a portugal and decriminalize all the drugs
@@carlosandleon actually this would be a great idea, but not in the way you think. By placing drugs under doctor/pharmacy/patient control, you remove the need for drug users to buy on the street illegally from uncontrolled sources. The dealers eventually go away. The users have no need to steal to feed their habit and therefore crime goes down and some get back to work, helping to regulate their lives again.
It sounds counter productive, but we never used to have a serious drug crime issue in the UK until we changed our laws to suit the US who we were under the thumb at the time.

2. The wheel can protrude upto 30mm outside of the wheel arch as long as the tyre is covered you can also get extenders to make the wheels stick out more - not ilegal
3. There is no legal requirement for a "back box" the law only covers the amount of noise produced - not ilegal
4. Sunstrips aren't ilegal as long as the don't impead the drivers vision and there is no required height for them as everyone is a different height - not ilegal
5. Vehicles do not need to be fitted with airbags in specific places such as the steering wheel - not ilegal
One AGAIN total misinformation from the police making a car the was already road legal make a load of unnecessary changes to justify there job 🙄
Don't believe everything people in high vi's tell you lol
This is from VOSA on MOT and it’s been this way for quite a while. The tester must, as far as practicable, check that all airbags fitted as original equipment are present and not obviously defective, and the vehicle should fail if an airbag is obviously missing or defective.
The only exemption to this is:-
Where a vehicle has been extensively modified or converted, Reasons for Rejection for components missing where fitted as standard should not be applied, for example:
a car converted for rally use
@@mrfr87 yep, I had a dedicated Integra Type R track car that had a cage and all airbags and ABS removed. Went though MOT every time
A lack of backbox would make it louder than "average".
@@bionicgeekgrrl What about that Alfa that was built with the plate in that position as standard? With no central aperture for it.
Number 7: If George was a member of a grooming gang we'd have no interest in his activities whatsoever.
If he doesn't want an airbag, that's up to him!!
Yes, Australia is even more of a police state than Britain. And New Zealand. But Britains police are really doing their best to catch up.
what the cop is saying is a lie, though.
@@17kcotsdoow86the chaps probably saw the comment about 30mm protusion being legal and think it's true
It started with small things in the beginning for George, but 50 years later george had no control over his life
Imagine thinking an air bag is gonna keep you from braking your nose.
An airbag will just brake your nose in a nicer way but I guess twatting your head off a steering wheel at full speed wouldn’t exactly be fun lol
Guess that depends on if your wearing your seatbelt huh??
Breaking your nose isn't the point
You should spend more of your time and resources to stop cars from being stolen rather than nitpicking on what mods people have on their cars
