So I impressed her family because I had goals and worked hard, her dad is a Vietnam Vet so I was good with him. Been married 23yrs, I'm disabled retired and my wife is about to go to law school using my college money and by the time she is done our house will be paid off. Goals my man

I had a guy try to impress me so hard that he rented an Airbnb for our date night (6th date and had been talking for at least 4 months) and tried to pass it off as his apartment. We were actually talking about being exclusive.The moment I walked in I knew it was an Airbnb bc I had actually booked it 3 years previously when I was visiting 😂. Gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe he had bought/leased the unit. Found out that the same ppl I booked it with still owned it. I even gave him a chance to tell the truth and he insisted it was his. Once I told him what I knew AS FACT, he hung up on me and I hadn’t heard from him since. No idea how he was gonna keep up with that lie.
RMRS and especially Alpha M can learn from this. This is more sharing wisdom instead nonsense you get from mens health. Handle your business, stay on your purpose and these other things will fall into place.

Very wise words. When I stopped trying to impress women (it didn’t work anyway) and got busy with my career (because I found a job I really liked and worked hard at it for myself, not to impress others) - that is when women actually started to approach me. Even if I wasn’t working or looking around, I got approached by women in bank queues, metro platforms, surprising places that I certainly would never have approached women at. Woman are just impressed with a busy ambitious man.

Very impressive info. Another reason for not "impressing " a woman, at least I feel, is the air of mystery, and unpredictability. Rather the."spending a rack" on dinner approach, some coffee at Starbucks instead. Perhaps the next date, Palm Springs ariel tram, etc. This can also serve a purpose as to finding out if she's for whats in your pocket, or for you.
Don’t know how it came up, but this girl I was talking to said to me “I like that you can be yourself around me. These guys be doing too much & I see right through it” In that moment I knew she was pretty wise than I initially thought. I see a lot of women, including my sisters fall for these arrogant type of guy & wonder why he changed from her first impression of him. If you come as your best self & know what you’re good at & not good at, you can’t go wrong, it eliminates the women you’re truly not compatible with & you’d find someone that’s down for who you are.

Hard lines and a sculpted chin ruins a clean look on older guys, I would remove the deep lines in the chin area and flare it out giving a much more natural look which fits the direction he speaks of.. If its a man that she wants, and he is trying to impress her, it is welcomed and seen as him seeing her value and worth. but if its a guy that shes on the fence with, then she can possibly find it unattractive. Then there are some women, who look down on anything mediocre, and they will say, impress me or what are you bringing to the table.. Lots of different variables come into play. but overall i agree with your assertion.
One thing a lot of guys do in trying too hard to impress, they go so far they run out of material. Its like an entertainer who's already told his best jokes, right off the bat. Now he's got nothing left. But the thing is, some women are expecting him to be "on" all the time and no one can live up to that.
