This is amazing to watch, having owned a few air cooled beetles in my youth I love jimmy and the gangs reaction to the heating system and little quirks you find on air cooled stuff.

Long time beetle guy here and it’s so fun watching you guys learning about air cooled vw/Porsches. It always blows my mind how similar beetles and Porsches are. My door makes the exact same sound when closing it because it used the same Mechanism. And the heater boxes and tubes that had you guys confused haha. Gotta love them. Have fun fellas!

Good rule of thumb for VW/Porsche aircooleds…. if it’s leaking oil, you know there’s fluids in it. If it’s not leaking, there’s a problem! Hyped to watch the build commence

The output on the ecu to control the iacv is probably broken. Try running a new wire to it to rule out the harness. You can also retard the timing in the idle cells to stop it surging for a quick temp fix.

I already like dark colored 911’s to begin with and if you have seen one you have seen them all but I really like the look of this car in particular. The fact that it is Jim’s car and about to get the treatment and some heavy spooning makes it a vibe. Can’t wait to see the journey.

Once the boys work their magic on the..."Por-sche"! I'd love to see a (Jimmie-Mane) road-trip to the Smokies, but beware of crazy Silverado crossings because there's plenty of amazing twisty's besides the over-populated Tail of the dragon.🐉 Also if you want an easy way to clean up any corrosion/staining on any aluminum parts IE.. cylinder's, engine-block, Ect... use some spray-on AC coil-cleaner which has a light acid in it and will make it look fresh again without having to scrub, just degrease everything like Spoon did, spray it on, let it sit for a bit and pressure wash it off. Wear a disposable clean-suit and eye protection because you don't want to get it on you!

The Rotary Roadtrip idea is definitely a juicy idea! Jimmy and Tommy as one team, Adam and Collete as a team, TJ and Throtl as the other team (every team with their crew in the support truck and trailer). Meet in the middle somewhere. Top gear/ gumball style maybe some challenges along the way. Car show at the finish line. Would take some planning but tons of content opportunity and a whole lot of fun!.. orrrrrr the worst 1000 miles of your life

the 1989 25th anniversary foxbody was my first ever car, i was grounded for 9 months and wasnt allowed to do anything but work and go to school, so i saved up every last dime and bought this car. other then z32's i loved that car! the best mustang chasis ever!!!

I know you never do air but i feel like this would be the perfect car to eventually do it on. That way you don’t mess up anything by scraping and it can fill up the whole fender when sitting.

I love Foxbodys. My first car was an '85 foxbody. I was 17 and it was 2013 ish. It was already a classic then and all my friends loved it.

The best part about that 964 is that you can order any part you want directly from Porsche. They are not like 90's Nissan or Toyota with parts being scarce.
Link ECU, some new lug nuts, slammed, custom titanium exhaust with HKS mufflers, do it up jimmy-o, you know you want to. The dryer tubing is your heat dude, no coolant, so the cabin heat is from shrouds around the exhaust manifolds. They heat up REALLY FAST when its cold out.
Jimmy when you buy your 33 gtr you have to buy it overseas, drive it and then bring in into your country, the 33 is gonna be such a special car for u can’t wait to see it
