A couple of nights ago these people claimed they were not vandalizing the library, yet just saw on the KATU Facebook page a video of police entering the library and graffiti and other damages all over. They're not vandalizing?? Yeah, right, flipping liars.
Now the protesters are out side of the jail in Austin Texas demanding protesters be released. I hope you know that Texas does not mess around. If they keep it up those protesters don't have far to be jailed. And texas will do it

Portland police finally do something even though there will be no consequences for these anarchists. They will come right back and do more of the same after they are released by the district attorney with no bail or fine. After all, they are being paid to do this.

I contacted the Multnomah County Public Library (MCL), which serves greater Portland, and asked whether they would publicly protest what had happened at the PSU library. I said in my message, "If a group of neo-Nazis had done this, the MCL would have blazoned its website with a wordy denunciation, enforced mandatory training on all staff about "the dangers of extremism," and encouraged all staff to wear political buttons. We would have seen clusters of books and DVDs about the topic prominently placed just inside the entrances of each and every library--and maybe been treated to an interview with the library director on OPB [Oregon Public Broadcasting], to boot. [...] Say either Yes, the MCL condemns Antifa's action, or No, it does not. As the antiracism movement has taught us all, it is not enough to be simply “not racist”. Action for change must ensue. Stand up and take that action. Condemn Antifa openly and publicly." Their response, from Bruce Jenks, was, "As this was not an incident that occurred at one of our libraries, we do not intend to make any public statements about it, or any of the groups involved. Have a good day [.]" Multnomah County tax dollars are supporting this bureaucratic spinelessness and hypocrisy.
