@@somuchfortalent 1) EEOC specifically handles equal opportunity employment, nothing else. 2) DOL is literally the Department of LABOR. Are you really trying to sit here and act like federal labor law isn't the territory of the Department of Labor?
@@ShaggyRogers1you obviously don't understand the difference between what each agency handles under federal law in the work place. This woman is correct. It's an EEOC issue and they should have had someone from the EEOC there as well at this hearing. Those on Capital Hill know this so I find the argument with her from Kennedy a bit misplaced. She did offer to put pressure on the EEOC to look into it but these employees have to file their official complaints with the EEOC first. I am curious to know if that has been done yet or if this is something that has just been done anonymously on this website they were talking about. Every work place should have EEOC and DOL posters up somewhere that fully explain workers rights and who to complain to on both state and federal levels. Regardless, the FDIC cronies' behavior is disgusting and actions should be taken against these pigs.

I feel many people not all but many that go into government work want the security of a federal government job and the benefits and see what everyone else has to do in the private sector as grunts. I would be curious to see what she does during the day for work. Send some emails? Have a few meetings ? Then go home.

You absolutely do not need the EEOC to become involved, there are more than adequate remedies in department policies, all based on a variety of executive orders and explicit laws.

As a single 47y guy, I find it absolutely horrendous that anyone, especially women should even have to be concerned about such things in any workplace, much less the Federal government! During my time in corporate purgatory, I have been known to go off on people for this kind of crap. What's truly disturbing is that, most of the time the worst offenders are either management, in HR or HR management!

Why do you think she is clueless as to what is going on. they have created so many back channels for protections that she had no idea about the report. they had good intentions but they also made it easy to report false allegations so that the people being accused don't even know who is accusing them until they are already out of the door. That senator was fully aware she had no clue about the report because it was designed to be secretive from the bosses for fear of backlash.
