- A jury has convicted Hunter Biden, President Biden's son, on all three felony charges in connection with his purchase and ownership of a gun while he was addicted to crack cocaine. Yeah, one featured evidence backed by a laptop and had a quick trial and deliberation off of hard evidence. The other required the jury to select 1 of 3 possible crimes to convict the man, don’t even need to be unanimous. In the trial they couldn’t even connect the testimonies with said crimes. So yeah no comparisons at all

It was truly breathtaking.
1- Many federal prosecutors have said that cases like this are not unusual and in a regular case, the defendant would have been allowed to plead out, especially since he's a first time offender, he only had the gun for a week, never used it and it was taken from him and disposed of. They are treating Hunter worse than they would a regular person because of politics.
2 - I would like to know how many people under the influence of drugs would have answered that question honestly. No drug addict is going to admit their addiction - not to their employers, not when they're buying a gun and, sometimes, not even to themselves. There must be thousands of people out there who lied when they answered the question and who probably still have their guns.
Biden’s DOJ cooked up a sweet plea deal for hunter where he would be immune to any and all future prosecutions and the only reason it didn’t go through was because the judge wasn’t in on the take. Once that blew up hunters team wanted to yo to trial. So yeah he had his chance but Biden’s DOJ tried to give him too much of a good plea deal. Try and keep up.
Also to your 2nd statement most people aren’t dumb enough to write a book detailing their crimes and then voice narrate it which was used as evidence in this trail lol.

Agreed. I am an Alcohol.and Drug Counselor. The verdict made for lovely discussion in groups today. The question asks if you are addicted to drugs. As stated addicts who are using are not honest about their use (to themselves or others). The.members of my group are in a Medication Assisted Treatment program for opioid use disorder. Technically, though not currently using illegal drugs, they are addicted to opiates. Some members are gun owners. They are guilty of the same crime as Hunter Biden. Some of them are also DJT supporters who want Hunter Biden to have the book thrown at him...until I brought that up.

Also; September of 2023, UD v Patrick Daniels, the 5th US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled it is unconstitutional to forbid firearm ownership from a person who uses illegal drugs. There is a good chance all three of these convictions are voided if the 3rd Circuit adopts the 5th Circuits ruling.

I think Trumps verdict and this verdict are ridiculous. Trumos definitely more so but i dont like where all this is going for our country.
I disagree. Trumps was absolutely legitimately deserved. I don't disagree with this verdict either. Though I do think a 25 year potential sentence is too extreme (even though it's unlikely a first time offender will get that. And I also do think this was only pursued because of who his father was. Any other former drug addict who is now clean would have had charges dropped for a past mistake. I doubt it would have ever made it to court. That being said, in Trump's case, I think if it weren't for who he is, he would have been in jail years and years ago for all his crimes.
