Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Subaru Forester - 2019 - Best in Class - Small Off-Road/MPV

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid barrier
an offset frontal impact test, 40% of the width of the car is striking a deformable barrier
a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking systems (car to car, with a pedestrian and a cyclist target), lane support and speed assist technologies and seatbelt reminders.

Robert Retincu the Forester scores extremely Well with 97% occupants protraction score, better than most Mercedes, Volvo, BMW, Audi, ford, Volkswagen.....
It's a very safe car, as every Subaru. In Japan: highest score in crash safety ever, in the US a safety pick +.
@@starliner6635 Chevy Cruze did extremely well, it came out in 2009 and got 96%... Full marks for frontal and side. Considering it's a compact/midsize family sedan which costs around 20 grand for the range topper... It even outclassed the C class which started at 28 grand. Money doesn't always assure safety.
@@starliner6635 the look of the outside damage says nothing about the structure and impact force on the inside.
I still can't get over how fast airbags deploy. The occupants aren't even moving forward yet by the time those things are fully inflated! I know exactly how they work, but it's still amazing to see.
I am recommending this car to my parents.
This its exactly why i buy this car like daly family car. I totaly dont care About +2s from 0-100km/h blablabla... I see my friend survive his heavy accident in his subie without injury and thats its important.

I bought my 2018 Forester based on Consumer Reports safety ratings. Have not regretted my decision. Love this vehicle. And getting almost 40 mpg highway.

I feel like we could get better results front rear seat occupants in frontal crashes. These always end with their head snapping way forward. The IIHS just updated their tests this year and a lot of vehicles are failing this test. Does the seat belt slide into their abdomen? Hard hard does their neck snap forward?
