Thanks for taking the time to make your instructional videos. I am picking up a new 29'er frame this week to build up my first bike and am glad to have stumbled upon your vids!
Someone disliked this video. Who the hell didn't like this video? Really nice to hear someone enthusing about something they love and helping along the way. I am, quite frankly, not very good at the maintenance side of things, so I have found these videos very enlightening and helpful. I particularly liked the one about how to wash your bike. I picked up quite a few tips from that. Keep up the good work. Well done
Make sure u watch all of Clint's videos, even the earlier ones. He is without a doubt the best youtuber for bike maintance. If u need help he always replies and 99% of the time his advice works. Welcome to the biking community, hope u have a good time:)
I've already watched most of his videos. I rode all the time when I was in my late teens and early 20's. Now that I'm pushing my late 50's I decided it was time to ride again.
i have a trek 3700 i bought brand new back in 04 and to this day i maintain it,the only person ill allow to fix it is the guy who sold it to me because he's a reputable bike shop and he has fair prices on parts but over the year ive learned how to do the repairs or upgrades myself and i now get replacement parts on amazon like tires, tubes etc and don't have to go to a shop and get charged alot of money for just labor not including the parts
I am the race team manager for my local bike shop but I'm not employed there. My day job is in the accounting department of a company that develops curriculum and credentialing for craft workers in the construction industry (called NCCER).
thank you for your answer. I see some of your videos is very good and is very good help. I Have 3 road bikes steel and aluminum one TT bike aluminum and one steel older mountain bike i need work on them. For now i have one road bike old 1987 steel ready to ride but i like to upgrade more.

Frame Pump - I looked around in your videos but didn't see anything on which, if any, frame pump you keep on your bike. What do you recommend?
+Gil Gilliland I use a Lezyne
Clint: Support your local bike shop

Clint Gibbs Oh ok, it was parcel sponsorship, i looked it up :)
thank you
How long time take you build one bike.
From just a frame it takes between 4 and 6 hours. That's cutting the steerer tube, bleeding brakes, running cables....
