Pls help me, I use the second method and work well but it doesn't save the videos that I put in the folder, but there is only audio on the pc
With this method, I experienced terrible video quality, especially when I added them to editing software. The only way which maintains the video quality is the first one - using a USB cable. Have you experienced the same thing?

Hey Justin, Thank you so much for this video. I used VLC method using WiFi. I found it more convenient on Android phone using Chrome rather than PC or Laptop, coz on laptop the whole process was getting interrupted and stopped after 40mb. But on Android phone it was working seamless and I transferred 5 files of 10GB each😄

For anyone viewing this, using the second method, you can actually bulk transfer using albums. Just share the album instead of individually transferring said files, you will save a lot more time.
but shared album needs an enough icloud space, that means it is not free

Before watching this video, I have wasted so many hours transferring large videos from my iphone to the external hard drive connected to my PC. The connection kept getting broken or crashed. I had to reboot my computer every time to reestablish the connection, and then after transferring one large video the connection would break again. It had been a nightmare before using your solution (So far I only tried solution 2). Now it's so easy!

A BIG, BIG THANK YOU FOR THIS! I wanted to put some videos I shot on my iPhone 13 mini back onto it so I could use the HDR to SDR conversion facility in iMovie for the job, and your tutorial on using the iTunes file sharing apps method worked a treat for me! The iMovie app actually came up, so I was able to transfer them directly to it and have just now been able to do what I wanted to do (the result was exported by iMovie into my iPhone's photos app). You've got a big like from me now and a new subscriber as well. Thank you very, very much again!

Another great video! This has always been a problem for me. Lately, I have just been backing up my iPhone to iCloud and then download the video or pics I want from the iCloud website directly to my computer. This is just like your google drive method except all the files are already in the cloud. 👍🏼

everyone! just plug your phone to your computer. Give it sometime after plugging into the computer and the DCIM will appear. I read in some forum someone say to do that and it worked! I have a lot of stuff in my phone, so it took a while for it to load to my Pc. We all want it to instantly appear but you have to give it some time. this guy’s video also helped me, the itunes option worked for me from this video.
This is such a lifesaver! I'd been using my Mac to create videos for years, but with the newer iPhones I can no longer transfer videos and images without the use of other apps (Such a scam) It never dawned on me that I can still do the same on my PC. Thank you so much!

My best pick is the direct cable transfer (option 1, use it all this while) because for me the reason for making the transfer is to clear the footage or photo off the phone to make some space and edit it on computer. Guys, before you do ANY of this, go to your ipad or iPhone, go to “settings,” go to “photos” and under the section of “transfer to Mac or PC” select “keep originals.” Do this FIRST. Then consider all the other mess.
When I do this the transfer work effortlessly.. But the files won’t play on my computer.
@@gronqvist1111 see if there is an update on your movies and tv player on your PC.
Also, “open with” on your PC might give you options like vlc media. Windows media player is the only one where there might be a problem.
The odd thing is, you can upload it to TH-cam but people have problems on the original export playback.
If none works then sorry - I tried - knowing that I was only saying to try it BEFORE you install unnecessary software.
Plugging my phone into my microsoft laptop, and cutting/pasting photos (in any quantity) over to my laptop has never been a problem, however, trying to put movie files, pics, or any files, back on my iphone has never worked out for me.
Justin, your video that explains a few simple steps, has solved this. plug phone into laptop, open itunes, click on phone, click on file share, select google chome app, drag files from desktop into window, BAM!! Iphone takes the files!! I watched Independence Day on my phone, off line! It only took 30 seconds to transfer this file, once I did what you said. Thanks a million for sharing this!!!

I've been using iPhones for ages, and I despise how proprietary and user-unfriendly Apple's interface is. Why would they make backing up your photos and data so damn difficult when it should be able to be done simply by drag-and-drop. Great advice Justin, but my 12Pro Max might be my last iPhone.

I've watched all the methods and am I right in thinking there's no way to bulk move all the photos/videos from iPhone to PC? They have to be moved individually?
Because windows uses ntfs while apple devices uses fat disk format

I did have to figure out some settings on my Iphone to put them into JPEG format first but the way you shared, made it possible for them to actually download to a desktop folder. Thanks again. 🙂

The most annoying thing about iTunes is that I can know nothing about what backup included in iTunes backup. So I choose m backup per.

Yes, but what about when your computer is recognizing your iphone? Or when you are in middle of transferring videos to your pc in file explorer and then the iphone “stops working” or is no longer recognized by the pc. Then sometimes you plug the iphone in to the computer, file explorer recognizes it and sometimes it doesnt. It is really frustrating

Best folder name in the history!!!
I was planning to buy an iPhone for video editing and controlling mini 2. My only concern was file transfer between the phone and my pc. This video was very informative but I am really shocked to see how complicated things are for an iPhone user on a PC. these things are so much easier between an android and PC. It's a shame. Among all three, file management is best on windows hands down, and this proves it.
My daughter wanted to film using her iphone and now I can't upload the footage to my PC :(
@@blaxunicorn1497 if you have good wifi, using one of the cloud services like onedrive or Google drive seems like your best option.that should work. It's tedious as with all things between iPhone and non-iphone, but should work. I am worried about it too once I get my first iPhone.
iPhone really makes small things complicated. From my personal experience. It doesn’t properly sync with non-iOS or Mac devices.

I tried using the cable and the folder DCIM that appears in This PC. But he problem is when I copy the full folder one by one which is 4gb, the connection suddenly stops after few minutes. Please help me resolve this issue using the same method. Many thanks.

Probably your file system is fat32. Try with NTFS.
Right click on any of the drive (D drive or E)
Then select format.
Then select file system as NTFS and format.
This will resolve your issue.
After all these years wandering in forest of despair, I finally found the Savior.

Do I need to have iTunes installed to be able to transfer my photos to my PC? Because it says this folder is empty unless I use iTunes to “backup” which fills up my C drive 🙄🙄🙄🙄

@@cyclebs I want to do it because I need to take a video from my PC laptop to Instagram, but with IG, if you want to post a video with a thumbnail image, it has to get posted from your phone. I try to post videos to IG through fb creator studio and the thumbnail doesn't appear on IG with that method
So the only issue I have had was making sure that the MS extensions are up to date in order to even see the vid. Other than that, the methods outlined here worked perfectly! Thank you again for all of your help!!

thank you so much! this has been a trouble for me for a long time now. i used the VLC solution, just make sure to keep your phone unlocked while downloading the video files!
