"To the people that keep complaining about the trash on my floor, I added to it just for you".....this almost made me spit out the water I was drinking lol !
Yeah the STI trans is noisy haha. Nothing irregular on the swap. Im not TOO big a fan on the feel of the Kartboy shifter set up. May switch to the Darkmatter X shifter assembly in the future.
I have a bit of a bastard intake combo, a BMS intake combos with a Perrin Filter. Then no change to the bypass valve, but now have a Perrin Diverter Valve, which sounds a tad nicer than this video.
@@DarkWolfWRXOh ok so its the regular noise by using an aftermarket cai. But I would never think that an oil diverter upgrade would change the sound of your induction.
@KuyaPow626 the diverter valve isnt oil related. Its a replacement for the bypass valve. It removed the electric bpv for a mechanical one. Perrin calls it a diverter valve instead of bypass valve for the 22s.
Did Anthony mention anything about the safety/longevity of full e85 on the stock fuel system? Im running e30 right now and would love to go higher but I'm a bit skeptical about running full e85. Feel like it could definitely cause issues down the line
That was my first question to him when he suggested going full E85. He said he has not seen any cars have issues with the fueling as of yet. But I went ahead and picked up the Fuel It upgrade LPFP just to toss in in case. Anthony said it's a good idea as it def won't hurt to have. No tuning is required to change that out.
@@DarkWolfWRX Oh nice I didn’t know they sold fuel pumps too. I’ll definitely buy one soon as well. I have their ethanol content reader right now and it’s been very accurate
Im not from the subaru platform. Im from the bmw 4 cyl b48 330i platform. Anyways, tons of people going full e-85 here- just do oil changes every 3k miles, spark plugs 15-20k miles, and injectors need to be serviced or replaced around 50k miles. Just a bit more maintenance, but if your fueling can support e-85 fully and scared about reliability… then stay on top of maintenance. Also good idea to run a tank of 91/93 pump gas every few thousand miles to clean up the system (this should be done every 3k miles or 3 months, whichever comes first)!
I post an update in that video description. Basically it was heat soaking big time. Pulling timing and power. Something we do not see on the real world logs. Which would imply the shop with the dyno is not using adequate fans, as well as it being hot as balls on top of it that day. Though, when comparing VD we also need to compare it to the shops dynojet correction as the VD was set to Dynojet. So their correction for DJ puts it at 361. If that makes sense.
@@Slenderman454 Yup! He's quick and will put safety first, unless you tell him otherwise haha. I have yet to see a bad thing about him, which says a lot in the Subaru community haha.
@Slenderman454 its a game changer thats for sure. Not sure if he reccomended it to you, but Fuel-It has an upgraded LPFP that may be a good idea to pick up with running E.
Awesome video, im thinking of switching to the AP from my old 18 and have it transfered over. The jb4 is good, but i want more power and drunkmann is great lol.
@brianstates7336 Yea. I dont have many local dyno tuners near me that have a reputation like Drunkmann. Im actually scheduled to hit the dyno next week but can already tell they dont like Anthony and are going to try an push their tunes 😅
@@DarkWolfWRXDon’t like Anthony?! That’s crazy. I have his 93 e-tune and the man has been nothing but super available, responsive and helpful. Not to mention his tunes are badass while not pushing the car to its breaking points. I sense a bit of jealousy 😂😂
@@chrischarles9218 To be honest, with how Subarus are and needing a tune for pretty much each power mod, its best to just do them all at once(saves the wallet long term). In that case, the butt dyno is very much adequate haha.
Will have a video of it comming up next weekend. Will also be doing a Virtual Dyno run in the matching gear they dyno it on just for funsies comparison.
Yeah just run it empty, toss in E85, an flash map. It's also recommended to swap back to premium pump gas and map ever 2 or three tanks to keep the fuel system from gumming up since E85 likes to do that.
This gentleman sounds like Peter Griffin, and I love it. Really adds to the overall vibe 😂

Shut up, Meg.
How much was the STI trans where did you source it, what else is needed to do the install?

Dude shes ripping i cant wait to be where you're at in a week or two!
I hear the STI transmission whine when you floor it. sounds really good. Do you feel any slop or anything irregular with the swap so far?

I’m on my first e85 map from dmann, did you feel an increase with the final revision?
