It's impossible to not see all three! But there certainly is a better order to see them in and a certain amount of minimum time needed to properly take them in.
Which order and length of time for each city ?
@@StinaMama From our perspective, I think going from Seville to Ronda to Granada to Cordoba would be the best order.
Here's what we think you'll want for time in each place (if you're trying to keep good time):
Seville: 2-3 days
Ronda: 1-2 days
Granada: 2-3 days
Cordoba: 1-2 days
They are all lovely and could likely be visited for many more days than that, but this will give you enough time to get a good taste of each.

My advice is to stay overnight in each location. A meal and a stroll at night when the hordes of day tourists are gone is a time to enjoy. Visiting new places is not just about seeing the sights but more importantly should be an experience to enjoy and remember.
Seville. A beautiful city! We live in Spain and have visited Seville a couple of times. The full carriage ride is a relaxing way to see the highlights of Seville. No need to eat at American chains, the hamburgers in local shops tend to be better, IMO. But local restaurants are cheaper usually, and the Spanish food is delicious! The Ancient Baths in Seville are a great way to really relax, get a massage or just take time to soothe muscles tired from the walking! We still have lots to see here, but glad to have found you.
The hamburgers at Cortes Inglés are incredible!
How can you get to know and enjoy the big cities in one day ? You cant. You need several days to experience the delights of these cities at a more relaxed pace. Speed touring is not a way to enjoy a location.
At 12:16 you put Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore... The only problem is that's not in Spain it's in Italy.
A more intimate comparison between the cities would be useful. Sevilla is “ciudad monumental,” that is, a city of large monumental structures such as the Archive of the Indies. The huge cathedral and Plaza de España just add to the monumentality. Sevilla is HUGE in Spanish history and literature. HUGE. Arabic and moorish architectural examples in Sevilla - unlike Granada - are a copy by period Christian artisans. Granada is the apotheosis of Moorish and Arab Spain. Córdoba, a one-time capital before Toledo and seat of great philosophers and translation (the last, much like Toledo). Córdoba is a little Sevilla and a little Granada. Ronda is a dangling frontier. A bucolic corner, andalusian style. The place is a close-up on your way to the nearby Alpujarra area and mountains.
I know explaining all 4 examples is hard, but keep in mind close-up explanations - instead of a bucket-list approach - would be especially helpful to travelers meandering through Andalucía.

Good tips - I agree, The Alhambra is a day and was a highlight for me many years ago. I did not see Rhonda, but did see Toledo which was my second favourite place in Spain that I saw. Spain has many beautiful places.

I just came back from the exact same trip and I agree that those 4 cities in Andalucía are a must! My itinerary was Granada 3 nights- Ronda 1 night. Cordoba 3 nights. Sevilla 4 nights and ended with 3 nights in Lisbon which was a great closing of my trip. I disagree a bit with your order. I loved finishing my journey in Andalucía in Seville. It is a bigger city and I was able to wind down from all the hard walking on the other cities, enjoying the sites while taking nice breaks just wondering and stopping for tapas at my own pace. Great insides, I will give you a piece of feedback just on the pronunciation of the sites and landmarks, I understand speaking other languages it’s never an easy task but making an effort to pronounce as well as possible makes a difference. As a Spanish speaking person I was having a very hard time to understand. Other than that I’m so glad I chose the same 4 cities because they were all amazing to see. ❤️

There are a lot more in Seville even in the Cathedral vicinity like the exquisite Iglesia Colegial del Divino Sslvador, Casa de Pilatos, Palacio de las Duenas, etc. As you mentioned in Granada best to check reviews on restaurants anywhere in the globe so as not to be shortchanged on value for money for food quality and hygienic food preparations to avoid food poisoning.

I did all of these cities as day trips from Torremolinos and basically seen all the main sites for each of these cities.
In Seville, I visited Plaza de Espana, Maria Luisa Park, Royal Alcazar, Torro Del Oro, Seville Cathedral, River Cruise from Torro Del Oro - I went there in late April and it was in the early 30s - did all of this in 1 day.
In Cordoba, I've visited the Mezquita, Roman Bridge, Alcazar - on our way back we visited Madinat Az Zahra (an archaeological site that people miss out).
In Granada, obviously Al hambra (took me 5 hours to see everything) and the Cathedral.
In Ronda and seen the tall bridge and the garden for the views - and walked around this city..
I would also add Malaga as well for a day trip to see a few sites there too

Love your videos, as everyone seems to! You are a great couple too! I'm escaping the -30C and -40000C (so it seems) weather this winter, from my city. I want to spend two months and take a leisurely trip for February and March, throughout Andalusia, starting anywhere but hopefully Malaga last, where I can at least sit on the beach, even if in a coat! We went to Seville for our Honeymoon…I recognize a lot of the places. Brings back a lot of cool memories I remember us riding rental bikes in the park!!! Yeah we were there only for a day or two also. Just saw the cathedral and the plaza which was pretty cool

My only bit of feedback is to add captions, it will not only make the video more accessible to people but it's helpful to read the names of the sites you were mentioning. I missed the alhambra as it was Christmas and fully booked. I decided to walk the wrong way through the alhambra early in the morning. Its the highlight of 6 city trip. I will go back.
Thank you! I’d been considering going to Andalusia on our next trip and was thinking about which cities to visit if we only have a shorter time. I have been to Cordova, Granada and Seville, but not Ronda. It’s good to know it’s worth the visit! I remember liking Seville the least of the Golden triangle cities because it was so large and had a big city feeling. We would be taking trains.
Try blabla car and expedia to save yourself a fair bit of cash.

I’m not sure how whilst you were planning the trip, you concluded that 1 day was adequate to see these places You would’ve been better off going to one city and experiencing it, rather than just ‘seeing’ it.
I’m not surprised that Seville was anticlimactic either. You followed the same script as everywhere else.
Sorry to be negative and opinionated. We’ve been fortunate enough to travel to all of the cities except Cordoba, and on multiple occasions. They’re incredible in their own right and don’t need to be compared.
I’d add that we do approach travel in a very relaxed manor. Experiencing the local culture means taking part in it, so to us, going to see every monument/cathedral isn’t essential. Bricks and mortar don’t make a culture, the people do.
I absolutely hear you on this! I wish we'd had the chance to stay longer in many of these places. We made this video because we know that not everyone can afford the time to see them all. We're hoping that they get a chance to see what each could offer to help make their decision. We know that many skip over Cordoba and Ronda because Granada and Seville are talked about more and wanted to showcase them side by side to show they all have their own 'flavor' and can all be great to see. This, of course, is based on our experience and we try to say what our preferences tend to be (I.e. we're not usually big city people).
In the end, this is a taste of each place to help people decide which they want to focus on seeing when in the area.

I have to agree- I was surprised to hear that Seville didn’t live up to expectations- but with only a day there, it would have been impossible to get a feel for the life and culture of the place, and what makes it distinct from other places in Andalusia (in fact the key theme of the whole video is about not spending enough time anywhere).

I’d like to better understand the visual reference to the cathedral in Florence at 12:16. More generally, and I know this sounds critical, it’s not revelatory that these places need more than a day to explore so it’s not really a key takeaway. Pretty much everyone already knows this.

La catedral de Córdoba tiene un origen y unos estilos más antiguos que Norte Dame que se acabó de construir en el s.XV.
Y la Sagrada Familia se inicio en el.s.XIX finales y su gran estructura es del.s. XX.tecnicanente nada que ver con las anteriores incluida la Alhambra.

Siento que no disfrutasteis de vuestra visita a la ciudad de Sevilla. Es una negligencia por vuestra parte visitar esta ciudad de forma tan precipitada y la ultima ciudad a visitar. Sevilla tampoco no se puede visitar en un solo dia.... catedral, reales alcazares, Plaza de España en un solo dia? que paso con los demas monumentos ? ni siquiera entraron en los reales alcazares cuando realmente no es parecido a la Alhambra.... este ultimo es un palacio nazari, los reales alzares son una mezcla de mudejar, gotico y renacentista... y sus maravillosos jardines del siglo xvi... en fin.
Es que los gringos tenemos la mala costumbre de visitar todo a la carrera, menos algunos como yo que sé que estas ciudades tienen mucha riqueza cultural. Realmente ningún país en Europa, por pequeño que sea, se puede ver en una o dos semana. Hay que escoger con anterioridad donde visitar con tiempo.

En ese caso no creo que pueda visitar Córdoba, Sevilla o Granada nuevamente donde ya visite en el pasado, pero me gustaría una pasadita nuevamente por Ronda si se puede.

O, y por si te curiosea mi conocimiento de tu idioma, estudié desde preparatorio hasta terminar el bachillerato en Madrid. Además que aún leo autores españoles. Este último "La flota de las especias" de Luis Molla dónde recuenta la travesía de Magallanes y Elcano. Te lo recomiendo si eres andaluz porque el autor te transporta a la Sevilla de ese siglo y su conocimiento de la historia de Andalucía es impresionante.

Westerners don't like to admit it .....Shame 👎
Andalusia got its name from Al Andalus which was an Islamic Ummyad Caliphate. We spent a year in Kuwait and you can really feel the Islamic/Arabic influence in the culture and architecture there, even in some of the modern buildings. The Nasrid Palaces, Alhambra and the Mosque Cathedral are all great examples of the legacy of what the Ummyads were able to accomplish. I would add that the Nasrid Palaces are far more beautiful and statley then Charles the 5ths Palace, also located in Alhambra, despite the Nasrid palaces being built long before the Charles Palace.
Before the Ummyads the Visigoths ruled Andalusia, before them the Romans and before them, the Carthaginians, and I think in written history the Pheonicians were the first city building people in the area, primarily along the coast.

Cordoba (followed by Seville) are among the hottest in that part of Europe. Granada is wayyyyyyyyyyyy cooler.
Choose between three sisters who are triplets. Impossible. You'll want all three. As for temperatures at summer you can choose between being baked in Granada, being roasted in Seville or being baked, roasted and cooked in Cordoba.

Ronda isn't one of the Golden three, but it was so great we think it should be changed to the golden four.
Good video, but you are making same mistake as many others- why do you think is important that Seville has many "American style shops"? I don't want to see Starbucks or McDonald's in Europe, why is that so important in regard to fabulous European and Spanish history?? Typical American attitude but again, your videos are very interesting.
We must not have expressed ourselves well in this video. We, personally, felt that the American style shops took away from the experience in Seville...we didn't like it. But we know that some people find comfort in it when traveling. Thanks for loving us to clear this up!

I've spent 6 weeks in Seville recently, living in an apartment. Personally, I noticed very few American chains. I am a loyal customer of Starbucks in the US and visited one frequently in Seville, but it was very near where I was attending Spanish classes. Otherwise, I probably wouldn't have patronized it so often.
My main point is that the Spanish chains and locally-owned stores, restaurants, cafes, and other businesses are so numerous and offer so many wonderful choices, I barely noticed the American chains. I envy the shoppers in Seville. Their retail sector apparently isn't suffering. And I love Cortes Inglés. Department stores in the US should learn some lessons from that Spanish chain!
Btw, I'm also very familiar with Granada, having spent in total, about five weeks there. I love walking up and down those hills! (Also, it's the "Al-bai-theen, emphasis on the last syllable, not "Al-bai-sin.")

They do take away from a journey but I think you get a vibe from great cities like Verona San Sebastian and Edinburgh. If you come to the uk do Edinburgh, Durham Bristol and Bath.

Sevile is not so large, 650000 people, its cathedral is large, 3rd in the world. Cordoba's chistian alcazar
was the stable of islamic one. Alhamra has its colours lost, try Sta Cruz la Real, Cartuja, S Jeronimo
That is large by Canadian standards, we're used to small cities and towns ;) We did love Seville though, we just loved some other places more :)
The country is called spain why call is Andalusia

Very nice video, however, your pronunciation of each of your selected cities is awful and really requires work. For example, in spite of your favorable review, your pronunciation of Cordoba makes one think that you had never even set foot there.
