What a great set of videos! You’ve total broken this down into easy steps that make me ( a beginner) super excited to paint people! Also you have such a soothing voice ! You really make this seem do-able. Thank you..
I did figure painting much of my life and learned more from these two videos to simplify my paintings than anything else ever. I take this as a form of cartoon like thing. Perfect for an impressionistic style. I have to admit that this takes practice. first try's were not perfect.
Felicitaciones!....aún no entendiendo el inglés, puedo comprender muy bien la explicación solo mirando el vídeo. Me encantó!....Gracias. Greetings from Punta Arenas-Chile
Absolutely amazing. I have Just start drawing People in my scketches and for me it is was very difficult. With this tutorial I can draw them better. Thanks!!
Muchas gracias por la explicación. No se ingles por lo q no he podido seguir su explicación, pero con las imágenes lo he entendido bien, aunque me encantaría poder leer la traducción en español. Gracias por su generosidad Un saludo desde Madrid
Super expression and attitude in these figures! They don't need faces. I don't much like the total absence of feet, though. Also, male figures look fine as triangles, but the females all appear to be transvestites: no hips at all, broad shoulders. Still, an effective, attractive way to populate a scene. Very 1960s!
Bob. Hi. I am trying to buy your DVD classes and I can not find it. Your tutorials are really really great. It helps a lot. Do you have any online classes?
You are wrong, I and all the professional artists I know do draw feet and they do not look too big and nor are they a distraction, the feet look right and your man looks wrong and unfinished. I do not say this lightly, I know your art and I follow your classes on ArtTutor where I am a happy member learning so much professional advise from your classes. People have feet, you can’t walk without them and a body looks abnormal without feet.
great tutorial but was i was rather cross with the narrative of stereotyped 'roles' of the disinterested male not wanting to be involved with the child and staring at the 'attractive lady in the pencil skirt' ...honestly.
sexist scenes! The woman with the shoppingbags, the man turning his head, the kid on the hand of his mother, while the father is walking on their side doing nothing.... This is the 21st century.... :/
Just want to validate that you are not the only one who noticed this. Jaw dropping to hear the commentary, too--mom is controlling junior, and dad "sort of supportive but doesn't want to get involved." "His head turned to look at the pretty lady." So sadly revealing of antiquated and damaging attitudes, even given that this video is clearly decades old. It's a pity, because the artistic content is very good.
@@anahata2009 thank you Anahata! And indeed the artistic content is good,... a pity the video is from 2014, not ages ago so the artist couldn't update and not fall into these antiquated damaging attitudes.
@@kristinketelslegers I could be wrong, but even though the video was uploaded to TH-cam on 2014, I think it was an upload of older material (basic that on the style and the level of technology/video quality). But in any case, whether it's 20 years old or 5 years old, it's still frustrating to hear those things.
Oh yes,my granddaughter, 6 years old, was able to grasp immediately the demonstration ,we draw together..the result was amazing thanks to you !
I really enjoy your videos and listen to people as you, humble and with a lot of experience and talents .Thank you to share for free like this ..

The ideas about gender roles were also very 1960s, unfortunately. Otherwise, an excellent video.
Hi I found this very helpful just wondering if you can tell us what brush size and brand you use ?
Sir you are fantastic.

Yeah, looks fine...but look at Trevor Waugh's little figures ... you'll be flabbergasted!
👍😙🇧🇷
The size of the heads are way too big...
wow
Women..slightly shorter, slimmer, longer hair and dress. Shopping bags

I like the drawings, but it's too bad that the woman is associated to shopping.
