Thank you so much for this. Watching how you moved your brush and how you shaped the figures was invaluable. I used this technique last night and was thrilled with the result. It looked like I could actually paint. Much appreciated.
I loved this! I do these little figures just for fun and they seem to tell me a story...each different and it's like they invent themselves and their personality as I go!
This video is fun to watch and quite educational. I’d love to see you do people in wheelchair, on crutches, sitting, and maybe some pets. Ty’s, Barb in Cali
Figure at 1:25 is likely Michael Jackson lol . I like the “tight pants” song at 6:05 too! At least that’s what I know it as. The 90s keyboard loops are the best! Seriously! Cool video!
This clearly lends itself well to watercolour- I am moving into acrylics for some impressionist works...I wonder if watering down my paint a bit would allow for a similar effect? One way to find out- I'll give it a shot. Thank you for the excellent video.
+Barbara Joan Hi Barbara, I do have some guide booklets available at very low prices, available for immediate download. You will find the on my website www.thepaintings.co.UK. Regards. Bill.
Really inspiring. I feel much confidant after viewing your style. Do appreciate. Lowering the volume of the music or changing it to some soothing tune will help more.
O.K But no reference to the vital importance of ratio of paint to water, or the choice of size of brush! Once again a sort of conjuring trick. The public need to KNOW the importance of this to learn. However good well done.
Hi, thank you for your message. Yes you are right it is speeded up. The idea was not for you to follow the brushstrokes on these tiny figures, but to show how easy it is and for you to develop your own brushstrokes... Bill
Just love this. Amazing painting. I hope to do this with practice and knowledge of proportions.

Please do women in ball gowns.
Bill I wonder of you are yourself quite tall. You figures seem to be very long-legged but then I am only 5'3"!
I'm sorry why is your video speeded up? If you slow down it would be easier to follow the brushstrokes

Very educational but please lose the loud background "music", it's too annoying.
Hi John, yes I agree it can be annoying for some people.... I suggest turning the volume down when watching. :) Thanks for your comment. Bill
Need to put watercolor in the title so we don't waste our time viewing
Yes maybe, but the same shapes can be applied in any medium (watercolour, oil, pastel, ink etc) so I hope it’s not completely inappropriate. Bill
