When PSA gives me bad grades, they're a joke of a company that doesn't know what they're doing.
When PSA gives me good grades, they are the greatest company ever that only gives objective grades. This is the law of YuGiOh collecting.

That’s not true at all, literally nobody says that LOL people are just excited when they get good grades. They don’t change their negative opinion and criticisms about PSA. PSA is garbage and grades like a bunch of drunk monkeys with absolutely no consistent standard. Hot take: PSA is a garbage company regardless if you get a good grade or not. You pay so much money and they don't even give you detailed reasoning as to why you got your grade. The quality of the cases themselves is atrocious and looking at all these poor damaged sleeves really just takes you out of it. For how expensive their service is, they should provide you with a much more beautiful case as well as show you a detailed grade, grading every factor concerning the card separately, explaining it and then accumulating a final score as well as have an online database of the cards, where everyone can see in detail the cards that have been graded, as well as show who has graded it and give an option for PSA users to rate the grading of different employees. They literally don't grade 10's sometimes just because they feel like it, they've graded fake cards and know that dedicated collectors will keep breaking cases that aren't 10's to submit it again. This whole company should burn to ashes.
Yeah man, for ~$100 bucks a slab (on the low end). You'd think they could make the cases out of something a little more abrasion resistant and give a quick, few sentence, explanation of the grade. If a card gets a 8: Just have a note that says "centering 70/30, lower right corner whitening, surface wear on back" or what ever the reason was.
I prefer BGS myself, which they are usually a bit more stringent in grading the cases and labels are way nice looking. Even if the ROI is not as high since people think that PSA is the be all end all in memorabilia and card grading. The report card they give telling why hey graded a certain way at the very least gives you more information on the cad as well.
Strong agree. Unfortunately PSA dominates the grading market so they can do whatever they want

Geez, that 6 on the Toon Dragon was rough! Without getting a better look at it it's hard to say why they knocked it down like that.

Maybe im going insane or just dont know enough about how graded cards look but is there not a big "crimp" at the bottom almost like someone tried to put it in the case and had the card up on the plastic rim holding it together and then pressed it together crimping the card?
@@revosaii Looks like that where the inner sleeve line ends. You can see a reflection difference in that spot when's he's looking for dents.

I sent a winged dragon of Ra to PSA and they gave it a 5 and it had perfect centering and off center back. The one he got a 10 on should NOT have been a 10 it was no where near one where mine was better than that one he got!
I feel like bgs is much more consistent when it comes to grading that toon dragon wasn’t even close to a 6

My problem with PSA is the lack of consistency on their grades. That Toon Dragon definitely wasn't a 6, and there was a Ra with back scenery totally off that got a 10. This makes no sense. But I'm really happy for you Ruxin!! Hope to see more videos of your complete PSA collection in the future.
There is a massive binder ding on the center right side of the card. It deserved a 6

Face it ruxin, these gradings, especially between 8-10 are pretty arbitrary and i feel like ppl are pretending to know why they grad it the way they do. Just being real. You've been in yugioh for a long time, opened more cards than PSA staff altogether probably yet even you "can't guess the grading right". But having that Jinzo 10 is a pure 10 haha
Yeah it seems like the difference between a PSA 8-10 is dependent on what kinda day the grader had that day. If he left for work arguing with his wife it’s nothing but 8s for the day, if he got a nice breakfast in bed it’s nothing but 9/10s. Maybe when PSA implements the new AI technology they’ll be more consistent, cuz I seriously can’t understand the difference anymore between these grades. It’s also a bit ridiculous we allow a single company to determine so much of the value when their evaluation doesn’t even seem to be all that objective/rigorous. Imagine having some friends who are PSA graders…

Hard to say the favorite one here, the GBI Gods are just awesome, B. Skull Dragon too. And PSA clearly graded the Ras looking only at the front centering, while they were high on meth when they graded 6 the Toon Dragon. I'm happy for your 10s but I'll say again that they're not reliable with their own grades, giving sometimes 8 and sometimes 10 to OC cards

The 6 on the toon drag was tuff, looked like an 8 or 9, but everything else(especially the jinzo) was really good. PSA has indeed redeemed themselves for this return.

Hey ruxin congratz on all the 10s! After the last psa graded vid you definitly deserved those 10s! And i have a question. You talked about the cards being "faded". What does it mean? Are those not the "normal" cards?
The color of the cards that surrounds the frame of the artwork is lighter.That black skull dragon should be a darker purple but it has a lighter purple on the outside. It’s faded because the magenta strip was most likely running low so it’s missing a lot of that color. That’s why the font is still very dark black
Sometimes graders don’t know it’s just the color was low and they think the card has been altered in someway like through being left out in the sun and fading. I think traps and fusion cards look really good faded.

What's hilarious is you can crack open and send the same card in ten times in a row. You'll receive different grades on it. Maybe not every time you send it in but it shows there's zero consistency.
Centering shouldnt drop a 10 to a 9. It is literally out of the control of the buyer. You didnt bent it didnt scratch it didnt cut it. Very annoying.

I love Relinquished with all my heart, and find the GBI amazing cards but... Cmon man, lots of those Ra's were awfull centered, I would actually feel bad getting 10's on those. PSA not being consistent it's actually a joke. I lost all respect for the company.

Ruxin I think it's because they charged you a premium to grade the cards I love your videos man but honestly I think your video just proved that grading with PSA is a joke I'm happy that you got the tens for your cards so that you're five grand isn't a complete waste of money. Like with the one God card and the centering I've seen cards like that get a six and I honestly think it's just because you paid five grand extra they gave you the tens I don't think it's fair how PSA has complete control and a say in how much your card is worth. You know your cards are mint. And like with the blue eyes I have no idea why they give you six on that that just shows that the grading system is a joke. Keep making videos man I love your content and especially your unboxings thank you man.

Based off of the 6 on tune dragon, it makes me wonder if the PSA grade is judged after the card is sleeved and slabbed up. Like clearly at 8:14 you can see that the line in the upper left corner goes through the sleeve/slab and aside from that, there's really nothing wrong for the card to get a 6. As for the dent in 7:50, it just looks like a dent from the sleeve. I've bought many sleeves before where there's some kind of defect in it. Based on how many times Ruxin flipped and showed the card in the video, it looks like that ding is for sure from the sleeve. Honestly the card deserves a 9 or a 10 based on how you judge top-bottom centering.....not from the stupid PSA sleeve judgment
My PSA submissions never looked like this. Even with authentic cards psa grades horribly. The inconsistency is awful with them. They don’t even tell you why their grade are what they gave.
Jinzo Is probably the best card in the video, but i loved more the mirror force faded; love the foiling on It and Is very nostalgic to me. 5/5 PSA 10 on the Ras! Insane return!

Wish I was rich to buy some of those 10s off you lol. Whoever graded must be one of the older psa graders cause this isn't as harsh as they've been lately. I hope I get whoever graded these cards on my next psa sub sheeeesh
What im not a fan of (and this has nothing to do with ruxin) is that he probably got preferential treatment.
PSA is dealing with the pains of scaling, they had to hire a lot more people because of the explosion of submissions and their grading services obviously suffered due to this. This means that their grading has become much more inconsistent as seen in the last grading. However PSA I'm sure monitors youtube for well known content creators and I'm sure their submissions go to special people to be graded (ie more consistent).
This is essentially a way to market themselves; getting dragged on youtube by well known content creators creates a bunch of negative press, I'm everyone here who saw the last review realized that PSA no longer has any real standards anymore and sending your cards to be graded is a crabshoot. I'm sure they are trying to rehabilitate their image and are making sure any influencer who sends their cards in gets accurate scores.
I would be wary still of sending my cards in as a commoner until the demand drops significantly and PSA can properly train all their new employees.

It's too bad they don't scan the card somehow and digitally highlight flaws. At 200$ a pop you'd think they could do something like that. No more guessing why a card got a bad grade.
