Cream base
9.75% | 1.95g silicone gel
0.25% | 0.05g silicone elastomer
70% | 14g TKB Mousse Medium
For 5g eyeshadow
20% | 1g mica (can include ~2% [0.1g] pigment if desired, reducing the mica to keep the total at 20%)
80% | 4g cream base

For my in kindle love it so much so excited to make some things and experiment, I been doing lip glasses and body butters for now and the body this go around was amazing I followed the warm temp cause I'm in Georgia don't get super cold here!

❤️ I've found that most cosmetic suppliers do sell ethically sourced micas-it's rando Amazon-type suppliers I'd be more wary of. I'm glad it's something people are becoming aware of!

Have you tried pressed eyeshadow formulation? I've made it several times with with pink mica (blush) and golden & white mica (highlighter) and I love those! Highlighter reminds me a bit of Essence's The Highlighter. Maybe pink+ golden / copper mica would create baked highlighter sort of product? 🤔

I just ordered your book as a birthday present for myself... Got it a few days ago but haven't read it yet
I wanted to order the "Digital version" of Marie's book for my daughter but it seems there's issues with the print and it's basically written as a "beginner guide".
While Marie's research and time is Greatly appreciated; I feel that her blog is the best source for recipes, experiments and knowledge ie. Encyclopedia 🙂

The book isn't a beginner's guide-it's a book all about making your own makeup. There's some limited content on basic skincare, but the main focus is DIY makeup.

I have some questions, can I disolve stevia in lip oils( if my base is warm?) Or should I use the one that is sell with coconut oil ( or can I do it my self? . I don't what my lip oils to taste like oil.

Does the base contain preservatives? Is there a more natural base to use?
The base is preserved, and I cannot recommend anything more natural that will perform anywhere near as well. If you are ok with extremely limited wear time and ample creasing there are natural options.

A dumb question but is it possible to make a duochrome matte eyeshadow?
I don't think so-the shift comes from light reflecting off the mica different ways, and without light reflection (matte), the effect is impossible. You could look for lower particle size micas for more of a shimmer vs. sparkle, but light reflection is key to the effect.
What about a natural alternative? Or am I asking for tooo much 😂
That would really depend on what kind of performance you're looking for. The film formers that make cream cosmetics long wearing do not have anything close to equivalent in the world of 'natural', so if you want truly long wearing products (especially if you have oily eyelids), you're unlikely to be successful with a 100% natural product. If you are ok with creasing + smudging you might have more success :)
