I remember when i was 5 years old my parents took me to see the Rockettes. They paid extra for us to meet a few of the Rockettes and its still one of my favorite memories. Another time we went my mom bought me a Rockette Barbie they were selling at Radio City. Thanks Radio City and Rockettes for all the memories you give us each Christmas. This show is so special to so many of us. Thanks for all the hard work you do and for your sacrifices for a great show. Merry Christmas!
As a dancer I can say that all dancers should and learn how to do their own hair and makeup, dancing is also a way of discipline, this way we can explore and learn how to different things :) * I'm using my moms account *

The Rockettes create an optical illusion by positioning the tallest woman in the middle and the shorter women out toward the ends. Dancers actually range from 5'6 to 5'10.5 tall, a standard that's strictly enforced by measuring them without shoes and with their hair pushed down.Mar 23, 2018

The girls are so beautiful, friendly, funny and very kind! I love that tour and, hell, I know what it takes to be a Rockette! Thanks! Falling soldiers is my favourite!
They actually have two casts which alternate show days, so 2 women run the same rockette track, so if one is sick or unable to do the show, the other can (hopefully) slot in seamlessly!

Silver Snow I know one of the current Rockettes spends half the year in NY doing this & the other half in Australia teaching dance.
yes they do not work year round as a rockette.Many of them have second jobs or take courses.

You have to be at least 5'6 yo be a rockette, as well as stage tricks
Also there are height requirements. Like, my mom was a dancer, and she tried auditioning but was too short by an inch and a half lol
I just watched their 75th anniversary DVD and I’ve seen them perform in person. These ladies are stunning and very hard working. Love to watch them 😊

I know that if you are injured, there are people near stage that switch into the next outfit and replace them as quick as possible.
