  • George Weah, the African Footballer of the Century, needs little introduction. But "King George" is eager to build his legacy not only as an athlete, but as a man who served the people of his native Liberia.

I was in school in Southern Cameroons aka Ambazonia when King George Weah was making his football progress and exploits as an exceptional Ancestral gift to Africa in (La Republique du cameroun)...He went through LRC like a thunderstorm lightening and amazed us on the radio and other media reports of that time..
He was also my role model(as part of LRC in those sweet days of my dreams)..
King George made it with Hard work and resilience, and he shows us what it means to use skill as an African and win the minds of 💓Generations beyong...
If we (children of the Mystical intense MELANATED Continent) should revive and change our Heritage and inheritance, we must just reorganize, because we have everything in our continent...from Love to the speediest of mineral resources and natural food...
The #MELANATIONS of Kingdoms of our mother continent is the source, the mother of humanity, the Alpha and omega from time Beyong, and we must rise, and make ourselves comfortable again...
Many will still try but they will not succeed in destroying us MELANATED KINGDOMS=AFRICA and we are now RISING..
Rise...... AFRICA....RISE.... Africans...Rise oh you children of our MELANATIONS....
    Make our/your UNIVERSE splendid...
    This is my resume contribution..
I'm the philanthropist the Free-thinker the free-Lancer, defender of our rights...🌍🌍🙌peace, love, equity&justice be on us, for all..

I didn't keep up with European Soccer but George's success is gives me double pleasure...I am glad you did your part to change my Librarian brothers and sisters livelihood. We have few runners in Ethiopia but nothing like this. it put tears on my eye's . This even different than from what Akon doing in Senegal. May lord bless Liberia like Ruwanda , it should be no more conflict and killing , enough is enough .move youre economy forward.

    Happy new year everyone.
If you listened well to this documentary, there was a point his house was looted and two of his cousins were raped.
Secondly, how many of the foreign based players in George Weah's footballing days came home during the war to lift the spirit of their nation,by contributing their hard earned money to fund the national team, sponsored helpless little children to school and the like.
He earned it and yes he went and furthered his studies, and with all due rest, with the Harvard-trained very well-read outgoing President,Liberia is still living below the poverty line.
And to the ones saying he shouldn't have veered into politics but stay with football,he can play forever and he has retired.
Today I really believe GOD have HIM his current position as Liberian's President because of his immense sacrifices during the darkest and most saddest time in his country's history.
He is the right man to be the President as he has shown what leadership is all about and he genuinely care for his people..
Sir,your Excellency President George Weah, thank you for all you have done for your country.
May THE LORD continue to bless you sir.

Liberians are an optimistic and good natured people. It is hard to believe such a brutal civil war took place there when you hear the people today. George Weah is having some challenge controlling the behavior of his CDC officials as President, they have been sanctioned by the US. I hope he can use his foundational strength of character to get his people and perhaps even himself, realigned. Wish him success and all the best 💪🏿🇱🇷

This is nonsense that just because you are footballer therefore, you can not be a president.
This is the problem with most Africans they are very narrow minded when it comes to someone being a president.
Africa needs leaders who care about their country and it's people.
Being a college graduate is a plus but it doesn't guaranteed that you are going to be a good leader to your people or the country.
It was very great when George Weah was giving out help during the war, it was good when he called the UN to helped, it was good when he asked the Ghana president to please accept the Liberians that were stranded on the ocean looking for place to stay.
He was not a politician but his services were good to accept.
Where were the so called politicians and college graduates of Liberia?
Liberia population is not 80% educated, so do you think they care about anyone high education level?
They want someone who care about them and the country.
Apart from President Doe, all the rest of the educated Liberian leaders, what great contribution have they done before the war and after the war?
Liberia still never had electricity in more than 10 counties for over 20 years plus and up to present.
Everyone in the world had the most respect and high hope for a great change when President Sirleaf took office.
She couldn't even electricfy the whole of Monroe during her 12 years in office.
She couldn't renovate the Mansion during her 12 years.
She could not even pave the street where she was living for 12 years in office
She promised to fix the road leading to the South Eastern region cuz that was one of her campaign promises.
She couldn't even renovate JFK Hospital to modern standard that she herself could go there for treatment.
She now goes to India for treatment.
Since she was the well known politician and we'll educated not George Weah. why didn't she do greater things than what she did along with her son stealing 16 billion dollars from the system?
According to one of the ladies statement, Weah should have remained as a footballer since that was his gift or talent.
I don't remember hearing anything in the Constitution of Liberia stating that only college graduates and so called politicians could be president.
Most Liberia females who called themselves college graduates don't even know much about the Constitution of Liberia.
There is nothing in the Constitution that states only politicians are allow to become president.
President Sirleaf stayed in office for 12years and enjoyed the changes Former President Taylor made by extending the office term to 6 years instead of the previous 4 years, and during her last term she made sure it went back to 4 years because she knew George Weah would win.
She used her Vice president to get elected but never put him to used.
When he decided to run for president, you would think she would have supported him, but hell No, she did not.
Whoever wants to run as a president in Liberia can run and the last decision left with the citizens of Liberia.
It doesn't matter whether the person education is on a college level.
The majority of the citizens feel they have been screwed over by the so called educated people they have voted for.
Whether you accept George Weah or not, he has others who believed in him and if those people are in majority , he will win again for his second term.

    • @marcygrace4752
      @marcygrace4752 4 ปีที่แล้ว

Hmm I don't think George weah hv bad intentions of he coming president,Liberians are the problems of Liberia, Liberians are wicked to themselves.
