i'm from angola and i love this woman so much, people from liberia need 2 understand, that takes time 2 build back a country who as in war for 14 years.. it's not easy, but what i have seen so far!! she been doing a great job....i love u..
This is a very informative video. I would recommend it for every Liberian. Some people feel that because Ellen pushed for reform during the Tolbert government in spite of being the Minister of Finance at the time that she helped to bring down the Tolbert regime. Well, this video shows otherwise. To see a daughter of Tolbert who was in government can praise President Sirleaf and express her admiration of the president from back in the 1970s, is a true revelation.
It's nice to see a documentary showing Liberia in its true light. I love Madame Johnson! She gives me hope that Americo-Liberians aren't as bad as we think.
Cocoa Boayue You know it's kind of hard to really think who are the actual America-Liberians. Many Liberians can't even tell who those free slaves from the U.S are. I think my father's family is part of that group.
Cocoa Boayue The America-Liberians are the educated ones who become presidents. Them and their families pretty much run Liberia. Not all the time though. I'm Grebo. My tribe and the Kru people were the first in Liberia, even before the Europeans showed up. The Americo-Liberians just mixed in with the Indigenous Liberians. They had to learn their languages. All the other tribes came later. Grebo is one of the Kru languages.🤓❤️️
lmao I'm neither of those, I'm Mah. And there are definitely plenty of educated Native Liberians as well, of course, it's mainly the Americo-Liberians who get all the credit.
Wow she was a leader for the African country , it's a proof that a woman can be the best governor than a man . In other countries the women cannot become a president . It's my new favorite leader . I 've known by the animation the title is BOUYOU.
Always great to see the Spirit sisters lead the way I feel safe when the women are at the control, men cause too much problems, when men are children crying like (B,s) it was always mother who comfort their sobbing ass, Mothers lead the way!
One of the worst person to have ever ruled Liberia is Madam Ellen. If you think that Charles Taylor was worst, Ellen was more diabolical and very vindictive in all of 12 years in office. All of the conflicts in Liberia has been the making of Madam Sirleaf. I am all about Women empowerment, but look at where Liberia is today, and we want to solely put the blame at the feet of Mr. Weah. If God doesn't intervene in Liberia, that country will continue to deteriorate, and it will be a place of dystopia, and thanks to Madam Ellen. It saddens me to see Liberians suffering, but I am more saddened to her walking around with impunity. Since the inception of the country , the indigenous of that land have never enjoyed their God-given right to exist and enjoy the natural resources that God has given them. Wake ⏰️ Liberians and Wake ⏰️ now Liberians before it's too late!
Ellen Johnson Sirleaf is the first elected female president in Liberia and of an African country. Ruth Perry was a transitional president of Liberia but was selected by political stakeholders to lead the transitional government and not elected as Sirleaf was. She has two years after ebola to speed up development and see if she can leave a lasting legacy. I wish her well as Liberia deserves progress after some 30 years of deprivation and failed governments.
Betoven Moza Africans don't even know their own history. That's what makes it easy for Whites to tell us our own history. There's so much chaos in Africa.
How can you do this documentary without mentioning the role Madam Sirleaf played in the 1985 rebel invasion and the NPFL rebel war? We admire Mrs. Sirleaf but the records must be kept straight not bias!
This interview is the worst I have ever seen about my country Liberia, I'm suck, is this the face of Liberia???? Other countries are celebrating legacy and achievements done in their country over the years by great leaders,.. and here's my country using someone as a face just after an Election that was hardly consider unfair 😞 this is a disaster....

How long does it take to become indigenous after you sell your labor force to the Europeans who build up their countries and then return back to Africa. How long does it take to become indigenous again. Africans never been enslaved to the point of building up their nations. You havent been forced to breed with eachother to form one Black African slave force, you werent raped out of your villages and forced to have your oppressors children, you werent hung by your necks on trees when you fought back. You were born in a Country of your own. Everybody want to be the Master and would rather run to the places the Slaves Build up for. The Irony

Annie Howe That's very true. My dad is a native Liberian but he know's some Americo-Liberians but they don't even care about that really.

The greatness of Africa lies in the manner in which the great leaders fought for independence
There’s nothing more amazing than an African woman! Dr. Sirleaf is my hero

For all her faults, she laid the foundations of democracy and progress that allow you to criticise and state that criticism from a computer.

Liberians look like Togoleses. I'am Éwé from Togo, I found the same names , foods and dances. We are people of Gulf of Benin.
Betoven Moza Kru people are people from the broken kingdom of Mali and Ghana.

A well deserved Mo Ibrahim- prize!
Woo to the first female African leader who left our country impoverished and broken..... Liberians are often times misled.
I have actually seen her in person
I am real good friends with one of her’s grandsons
She may or my not have a paper with my own handwriting
Honesty intergrity diversity brilliant unicef

So people in Liberia speaks American English
15:00 she looks like she's from the William Tolbert Family😂
The lady talks about herself like her farts don't stink
This a white woman the lord even told me after other told me
You're kidding yourself, she's black, no white person would think she's white. Plus colour doesn't matter, will they benefit Liberia?
