I was happy enough to let it lie but the feeling of rerolling 3 times in DF and each one getting to ~20 renown with all the major factions was always a bit weird. Huge boon for altoholics like me and SUPER happy they’re applying it retroactively
They don’t need to cap M+ in heroic week. Heroic raids drop Hero track loot and the highest loot that drops from M+ is also Hero track. The only issue here is that people who pushed M+ will get one Myth track item in the following week, which I don’t think matters that much.
The reason why blizzard argues to cap m+ usually isn't any of what you are saying btw. They say to cap it because it's spammable, not because of the reward level as much
Default UI defo needs customizable buff tracking (hopefully make isolated buff windows for certain buffs), and new nameplates... Also i wouldn't mind a place on the UI for debuffs on main target like Kingsbane or Rupture. (at least its help me when i just tab target through mobs and put up my dots on a pull)
The new skyriding is actually slower than dragonriding. It's the same speed as we have in the old world But that's good at they can make zones slightly smaller and not be stuck with big zones forever New music always comes in like a month before release or so
Rogue-like in wow is still something i really believe in. It just has to go on forever. The cap should be impossible mobs or you becoming a god. I want to play risk of rain 2, just playing my monk instead
Delves are the biggest hype for me right now. They look so awesome and will definitely be my endgame main content! Now I only hope the hero talents will have a very awesome visualization on them
the warband alt gearing sounds like what arena healers enjoyed in season 2 & 3 already. If you grinded arena on a healer for a couple of weeks, then you could basically upgrade all gear of an alt to max level.
You should be happy if you have 5 defensive's now and lose 1-3 of them. Its less for you to manage. It allows the game to get rid or reduce the number of 1 shots and it will make healers happier so hopefully you're not waiting 5-10+ minutes for a healer for M+ or raid.
Instead of having all 8 new dungeons for an xpac being in season 3, they should be there in season 1. Season 2 and 3 should be four from the xpac and four old/remade ones. First season having all dungeons of the xpac makes more sense, and you then have the following season not being 8 new dungeons to learn for the player base, while still keeping the season fresh.
@keithb6344 Some changes are better than no changes. And some players aren't as good as you, that they are able to easily pick up 8 new dungeons. Remember, you used to have 8 dungeons for the whole xpac. Meeting somewhere in the middle is a good compromise. Many people are already not wanting to play this last season bc its the same raids and dungeons they have already seen this xpac. You can't please everyone, but that doesn't mean you can't try to making the most of what you got for the majority of the player base.
@keithb6344 what sounds worse. 2 seasons where you've seen 50% of the dungeons or 1 season where you've seen 100% of the dungeons. Both equal 100%, some will prefer the first option and some the other. No matter what, there isn't a third so pick your poison.
Oooooooh this is a spicy but good take. And honestly I think kind or even further reiterates that the first season shud probly just be the 8 expansion dungeons logically
For clarification on shamans tankiness coming into DF the three things they gained were Brimming with Life(8% max life), Ancesteral Defense(4% leech&avoidance), and elemental warding(4% magic DR). Earth elemental was nerfed from 40% maximum life to 15% maximum life and an additional nerf was added to elemental shamans(because fuck elemental shamans for some reason) where they had a second wall they could use if they had the upgraded elemental node. Shamans also already had nature's guardian, the heal below 35% life.
And it's so tragic because the only way to have an enhance at the highest level of keys season 1 eventually became have a babysitter for them like ignore pain lol
Pod hi - hot take, the raid rotation is a good thing for people that are trying to get into or back into the game for the next expansion. My friends and I didn't play the 2nd season very much, and we get to come back and have that raid be semi relevant content for a few months before the new xpac
I want seasonal affixes back. Even the ones that weren’t as good, at least there was interesting ways to run some dungeons. I Would like a seasonal affix, 1 random affix, and the weekly rotation of tyrannical and fort.
Yeah even as a looe thundering hater for example I think it would have been 10x more bareable if there was only 1 random affix to deal with. Like i remember an early season 1 week that was tyrannical storming thundering and some other bullshit like grievous and the first boss of temple was literal hell..but if its ONLY storming then thats the worst case scenario and kind of okay and more manageable
Torghast had levels and modes you didnt need to do for power. we're getting into past revisionism. You didnt even have to do torghast beyond the 2 per week for leggos
Max's comp to GRs from diablo makes me wonder... What if instead of having a pool of affixes that rotate, you just normalize affixes such that X number of packs are "afflicted" packs ( for example), but every dungeon has the same relative % of each affix represented in the trash? You'd have to find a different way to flavor the dungeons on a week to week basis (if you even need to) but I personally would much rather live in a world where it's normalized.
Yo, keep up the good work! Regarding affixes, what would make more sense? 1) Doubling down on Greater Rift style and not have affixes for a week, but make Elite packs with different affixes, analogue some D3/D4 ones like Molten, Arcane lasers, Traps, definitely absolutely no reflect dmg. I realize this would be a bitch to balance, there would have to be hard cap for max vault key lvl difficulty on most of the affixes ... but it would make routing interesting, especially if different classes would have different tools for different packs ( to avoid god comps ). Shuffling "elites" week to week or key to key, although key to key would complicate MDI routing, but for that you can just prearrange packs in the TR keys. 2) Keep Tyra and Forti for week to week mixup, add just one major weekly affix, that would be an important minigame which you solve and get a buff or another routing option. For example dispeling bursting would give your group dmg/heal/main stat buff based on dispelled stacks ( capped so single dispel healers are not at a disadvantage to priests and monks ). This would help with surviving the rest of the bursting, make chainpulling or killing an obnoxious mob that you skip on other weeks possible and at the high end pulling trash into bosses would be rewarding. Bolstering mobs would explode on death on the other mobs, so if the tank can survive a big bolster mob into the next pack and blow it up. ( Cap dmg on bosses or just make bosses immune to it ). Awakened pylons, Encrypted invis style trash traversals. Tormented/Shrouded style Elites that reward you power that you can pull for additional % and power or not pull them if you cant survive/kill them which wouldnt make the rest of the dungeon harder like the boss auras did for Tormented. Affix to affix would still make week to week different, balacing would we as usual very crucial to eliminate push weeks, but having a reward for solving the affix would in my mind make every week something to look forward to and not dreading "what garbage do i have to deal with this week". A lot of this was what seasonal affixes did and it boggles my mind they decided to move away from the positive and negative affixes against one another. The loudest argument is "play the dungeon and no the affix" but to that point 3) Just remove all affixes and make intricate dungeons that stand on their own. Difficulty scaling with just the key level. To me this would make every season stale very fast without any week to week spice.
Keeping a couple dungeons in between seasons can increase barrier to entry because a lot of the community already knows it then people get pissy if you don’t know every last thing you’re supposed to do week 1
As someone who spam pugged season 1 3 and 4 m+ dungeons and to a fairly high level this has never one time ever happened to me. It's usually "you have to X with that" "ah shit mb didnt know worked that way". In my experience 95% of the time the cause of scenarios like you mention is because of deflection and defensiveness when mentioned.
min 56:55: "dk is already tanky" - goes in fortified 22 and gets 2 shot by mobs while pulling....All other tanks are tankier than dk cus they got shield with block chance
its very cool to see your character glow or something pop when some buff proc, until you go to raid, need to stack with 19 other players and every single player spell stacks on top of everybody and suddenly you cant see shit :) Now, if there was an option to hide other friendly players spells in raid and keep only my spells and boss spells visible for me, I would prefer visual indicator of proc over auras.
The will just release heroic a week early and m+ and mythic will be released together. As far as dungeons having affixes where people only log for raid is tough
38:10 I get what they got for Delves was probably boring (obviously by their reaction it was) but not only was this a preview, it was level 2. I can’t imagine level 2 of an open world instance would be very difficult. Especially if it goes to 11!!!!
I wish they would make dungeons more like Vamp Survivors, not so much the powers and stuff, but the density and health of everything. Be nice if everything wasn't a meatshield pack one after the next.
I understand general consensus seems to be negative about fated for the reason dratnos describes, but one thing I haven't heard you guys mention is the benefits of faded for returning players Season 3 of dragonfly saw a large population of returning players, myself included. I'm personally quite excited for fated since it gives me an opportunity to play the content that I missed.
Why dont they add more mech or affix for higher keys +25 rather than having mob and boss doing more dmg/one shots just make it impossible for certain classes to play. It would make it harder and different in a good way.
I don't hate fated, I hate the rotation of fated. Why can't all three raids be available all season? This way a guild can prog one and move onto the next. The weekly thing is a feature without value.
Dorki complaining about having to play the same dragonflight dungeons again in season 4, but then complains about them changing dungeons from old expansions so they don't have to be the same..
He complains about the specific changes and way they make changes not just changing. For example HoV is mostly positive changes..but things like Atals last boss change just ruined the dungeon for a lot of people eventually
I'm so ok with seasonal affixes being gone, dungeons dont need that much spicing up is their base design is already developed enough, when you have 2 interrupts 3 stuns dispells and all that shit already happening in a dungeon with trash you dont need to throw in extra stuff to deal with, if they want a seasonal affix i wouldnt mind it replacing the weekly ones thou for a more constant experience in the season itself because i would rather have a permanent version of encrypted to deal with for a whole expac every week then entangled or afflicted, bolstering and sanguine, and the other affixes we have on a rotating schedule
maybe a weird take on the "heroic week" topic. but would having full M+ open on heroic week help a bit with the split run thing. i know that you can't get all the tier the same way and some trinkets from raid might still be so much better that split running is still a thing but if they instead of doin 50+ split runs did 5 or so and then just could do M10 for all the gear they wanted for the other slot wouldn't that be good. or do they get so much of all the other "less relevent" gear slots that it doesn't matter?
Ok, affix cook. Each key you get the regular tyran/fort on keys, but the keys only guarantee 1 loot if you succeed, 0 if you fail. You can then choose to apply up to 4 affixes (the 4th being the opposite of tyran/fort). Each guarantees 1 (up to 5 guaranteed on a pass/4 on fail) more loot and the 3 non-fort/tyran change each week.
Mythic Plus heroic week question: Something not considered here in the discussion M0 will be tuned and will reward +10 level gear along with Heroic being M0 level difficulty so there will be "progression" for players to make, especially since doing a +10 difficulty dungeon after only having done M0 level gear will be tough.
Don't just remove defensives. Take them off of the GCD. I wouldn't hate having to press all my mage defensives if they weren't all a dps loss to use. You can take Greater Invis and Mirror Image. Let me keep Alter Time and Ice Cold.
if we remove some defensive abilities (not all) there won't be a reason to press the ones you do have because content will have to deal overall less damage. which will let you keep hitting your offensive abilities.

They say to cap it because it's spammable, not because of the reward level as much
I'm imagining that final raid boss to be a reverse Blackhand
Default UI defo needs customizable buff tracking (hopefully make isolated buff windows for certain buffs), and new nameplates... Also i wouldn't mind a place on the UI for debuffs on main target like Kingsbane or Rupture. (at least its help me when i just tab target through mobs and put up my dots on a pull)
Better blizz frames let's u whitelist/blacklist buffs and a ton of other random things that are useful
I poddy see, i click
Dratnos’ desire to make Fronks life hard is respectable.
Wow, what a poddy suprise
The new skyriding is actually slower than dragonriding. It's the same speed as we have in the old world
But that's good at they can make zones slightly smaller and not be stuck with big zones forever
New music always comes in like a month before release or so
Rogue-like in wow is still something i really believe in. It just has to go on forever. The cap should be impossible mobs or you becoming a god. I want to play risk of rain 2, just playing my monk instead
I quit playing in legion and just came back in dragon flight what is heroic week? I don’t remember that if it was in legion
Where tf is merchandise for this podcast?! Love yall
Just sell shirts that are just the edited dorki background pictures
Delves are the biggest hype for me right now. They look so awesome and will definitely be my endgame main content! Now I only hope the hero talents will have a very awesome visualization on them
Their improvement to Delves just sounded like torgast kinda
the warband alt gearing sounds like what arena healers enjoyed in season 2 & 3 already.
So season 2 we get to do 4 dungeons we’ve already been doing 6 months. Yay.
There should be a Mythic 0 of the season's M+ rotation, especially if we are jumping to current +10/12 at +2
Oooooooh this is a spicy but good take. And honestly I think kind or even further reiterates that the first season shud probly just be the 8 expansion dungeons logically
Excited. Already prepurchased.
44:50. I like how they always meme about Sennarth.
14:00 the cute puppy ear flops is honestly bis.
Instead of a season 4 fated would you guys rather have something like pulling 3-5 old bosses from previous raid and make a mini raid tier?
Poody Goodbye? Come on Max, be professional. The obvious outro is "Poddy Cya"
Torghast had levels and modes you didnt need to do for power. we're getting into past revisionism. You didnt even have to do torghast beyond the 2 per week for leggos
Will there be a Nerubian Queen map room displate?
Heroic dungeon BIS list for the first week again pog
Thanks guys!
the awkward delve triple pause deserves an oscar 😂😂😂
To me this would make every season stale very fast without any week to week spice.
as i understood from other interviews heroic week is only for Season 1.
Sennarth as a end boss
its very cool to see your character glow or something pop when some buff proc, until you go to raid, need to stack with 19 other players and every single player spell stacks on top of everybody and suddenly you cant see shit :)
Now, if there was an option to hide other friendly players spells in raid and keep only my spells and boss spells visible for me, I would prefer visual indicator of proc over auras.
I honestly think we need to go to a fort/tryan positive affix then negative affix and just make it fun
I’m in the just remove affix boat and make it scale harder
The will just release heroic a week early and m+ and mythic will be released together.
As far as dungeons having affixes where people only log for raid is tough
I really really fucking hope this isnt what they do
Why not positive affixes, instead of what crap do we deal with this week we get what fun affix do we get.
Why would you not think delves would get harder? There is 9 more tiers and most of them aren't unlocked til you're max level?
They do get harder, but stop rewarding anything but cosmetics after level 2 apparently.
There is a PVP battle behind max
Dratnos: S1 should have only new dungeons
Yeah!
Here's the list of S1 dungeons:
Oh no....
I understand general consensus seems to be negative about fated for the reason dratnos describes, but one thing I haven't heard you guys mention is the benefits of faded for returning players
Season 3 of dragonfly saw a large population of returning players, myself included. I'm personally quite excited for fated since it gives me an opportunity to play the content that I missed.
Same! 👍
Same here 🔥
Why dont they add more mech or affix for higher keys +25 rather than having mob and boss doing more dmg/one shots just make it impossible for certain classes to play. It would make it harder and different in a good way.
If there was any time for them to bring back 2h enh... THIS is that time (hard cope)
BRD was the best dungeon ever made
dratnos been in the gym?????
Just look at his gyatt
The Great Dane was the actual star of the show 😂
Wow news is popping off way too hard right now like gawd damn can't keep up with all this. I love it though
I don't hate fated, I hate the rotation of fated. Why can't all three raids be available all season? This way a guild can prog one and move onto the next. The weekly thing is a feature without value.
Make the crest farm less cancerous. By making drop rate per charact above x ilvl increase drops by 100%
You all hated seasonal affixes when we had them, now you all want them back 😅
LETS GOOOOOOOOO!!!
Why is Dratnos' beard looking sick asf hot dang
Dorki complaining about having to play the same dragonflight dungeons again in season 4, but then complains about them changing dungeons from old expansions so they don't have to be the same..
He complains about the specific changes and way they make changes not just changing. For example HoV is mostly positive changes..but things like Atals last boss change just ruined the dungeon for a lot of people eventually
still no region transfer or global regions
Didnt PoddyC this coming
No stream till Wednesday was, "I"m playing ALPHA HEHE xdd" to me
These content creators that say would you rather have fated or not and just have extended season are ignorant to the fact it wouldn’t be like that.
I am a hyper casual but if delves are just killing questmobs then fuck that.
Somewhat casual here, not changing every dungeon per season sounds absolutely dreadful. New season, new pool is the way to go.
Would love to see Tettles as a guest soon!
I'm not about to get tricked again into getting hyp...oh nonononononono
No trick homie, world soul saga is gonna be great
Ok, affix cook. Each key you get the regular tyran/fort on keys, but the keys only guarantee 1 loot if you succeed, 0 if you fail. You can then choose to apply up to 4 affixes (the 4th being the opposite of tyran/fort). Each guarantees 1 (up to 5 guaranteed on a pass/4 on fail) more loot and the 3 non-fort/tyran change each week.
creates another problem of people being forced into 4 affixes even if they don't want to do it. what you just cooked was the anti-pug idea
Blizzard really making me wait for enhance hero talents
Don't just remove defensives. Take them off of the GCD. I wouldn't hate having to press all my mage defensives if they weren't all a dps loss to use. You can take Greater Invis and Mirror Image. Let me keep Alter Time and Ice Cold.
if we remove some defensive abilities (not all) there won't be a reason to press the ones you do have because content will have to deal overall less damage. which will let you keep hitting your offensive abilities.
I saved Blizzard the effort and just deleted my enhancement shaman
Lmaoooooo why?!
