Saw Derek with his family at a restaurant a few years back in Maryland sitting next to my table, I didn't want to intrude on his private time but couldn't resist playing stranglehold on the Jukebox. He looked at me and nodded, a class act.

Derek, Had a Big part of putting Ted on the map Back in the day, His Vocals and Guitar Playing are Superb, Glad to see them play together again, I grew up about 5 miles away from Derek in Michigan, Cousin Figel

My wife and I were there what a treat, Derek was playing across town and came to see Ted.
I got a couple videos from the after show party where he was playing at 2 Frogs. His voice is still exactly the same as it was 40 years ago.
So glad I got to see them together!

Met Ted via Jack Blades backstage in Dallas at the Bad Co/Damn Yankees tour. As Jack was introducing me to him, he stood up(he was having chocolate cake on a small couch)belched hard and loud and the whole room froze in silence. It was GREAT! lol We talked for a few minutes about NM and whatever. He immediately walked over to his duffle bag, grabbed five Ted Nugent bow hunter magazines, autographed all of them and gave them to me. Shortly after, I took a photo with him and Jack. That was pretty cool. I gave all but one of those magazines away after having them all autographed by most of them. Ted is a madman but a good madman.

When I seen Ted back in 1995 hunters bash weekend at Jackson mi fairgrounds.. that was one hell of a show he put on for his home town.. 3 to 4 hours of pure ted.. Spirit of the Wild csme out and Derick and Ted just nailed it the whole night.. he had nstive Amrricans doing a dance Ted has his headrest on.. tbose of you who remember hunters bash weekends will remember how it was.. . We were getting our tickets at jacksons Teds world bow headquarters and he called im while we were there to see how sales were going..he was in KC.. we all gave a big shout out to Ted.. he yelled bsck to us thru the speaker phone!!! That was very cool!!!

Too bad for Derek and the world that Derek came across ”the other guy”. The other guy had some riffs, looks, stage prescence and a hell of an ego - so instead of getting a band of equals together, that could have become really big, it turned into a childish shitshow for ”the other guy”. Derek is a hugely talented singer - all the best to him!
