I absolutely have to agree regardless of my political views. I have resisted listening to the song since 1979 because when it was popular my grandfather was dying and it felt like my whole world was falling apart. At this point in my life though, even though I feel like I have so much more worldly knowledge, music absolutely has nothing to do with politics. This man at the time and the music that he made in this moment is timeless.

Ted had a show scheduled at an outdoor venue in Charlotte, NC back in the mid 70s. I was mulling around outside the gate when a group of guys came throlling by. A dude said, "Fall in, we're going to crash the gate". So I followed them. We marched around the outside about twice, each time the crowd getting bigger. It swelled to several hundred. As we made our way near the main gates, we heard the first thundering chords of Ted's guitar. At the very moment, this crowd of Nugent maniacs ran towards the gates. You could feel the ground shake as the security guards took off runnig. We pounced on that gate and scattered like rats through the crowd. What a night. So, Ted, I owe you $5 the next time I see you.

Can't stomach Ted Nugent's politics but must tip my hat to him as far as his guitar playing goes - definitely has that raunchy Detroit sound founded by Ron Ashton & James Williamson from the STOOGES and also Wayne Kramer from the MC5. -

I'll never forget the MadMan, he drove half the audience out the doors within minutes at a show in Mobile Alabama, playing so freaking beyond loud setting of tubular pipe percussions that illegal decibal level violation, blew both my ears out , damaged my hearing for life ,he got shut down in mobile ,half the crowd gathering out side were waiting for an explanation, why he cranked up his volume I think they said to 180 DB',s many people had hearing, this was in '89 and my ears ring do loud I have to read lips ,I got an attorney and in 2008 ,I was awarded $279K & he was banned from mobile Alabama Biloxi Mississippi

What a showman, definitely one of the top 100 guitarists of all time and who cares what Rolling Stone magazine says? Ted Nugent sold over 40 million albums, not singles but albums. Joan Jett was chosen because she's a lesbian and that's it. Nugent was and is about as cool as you could possibly ever be and he never used drugs or drank and just like President Trump the more they hate him the more likable he is.

I will NEVER defend a man having sex with an underage girl, but the '70s were a crazy time; great time to be a kid, though: biking, skateboarding, reading books (not iPhones), surfing, and listening to all that amazing music: Zep, the Who, Stones, Eric Clapton, AC/DC, Nugent, Queen, Humble Pie, UFO...you can go on and on.@@awcindy

Ted Nugent has that gritty rock sound, that only he can produce. It's like heavy country rock, and almost punk sounding at times. I think when you can produce great sounds that are hard to classify, that's a sign of real talent. He goes full blown heavy metal with the guitar by the very end. His guitar skills are extremely underrated! I had no idea. I'm a drummer, and I think the whole band was solid as well. This is my favorite song of his, and this live version is like a testosterone injection!

My mom work for the cowboys since day one (the Texans), her and tex shram, my mom knew the owner of Ticketmaster, I could be anywhere in the country, (probably the world) and I could ask my mom for as many tickets as I want to see a show, that would be waiting at the courtesy booth.
I like a band that can sound like your album live, there are people who argue or they like for a band to freestyle, I argue if I go to hear Tchaikovsky's 7th movement, I don't want to hear it any different but then the way it should be, Boston live was incredible (you would think they were lip syncing it was so perfect).
My favorite band live is ZZ top, for a three piece band, they sound awesome. I seen them in '79 at the Winter garden in Dallas, New Year's night, 3000 people capacity, I can assure you it was the best, the band was just so on point.

Always used to lift weights to that song. Get it in your head. Relax, it soothes the beast. Go with it. Seen him in concert. Amazing talent

How is Ted not in the R&R Hall of Fame. This should be the theme song for the place. That’s not okay, but you know what? The R&R Hall of Shame doesn’t deserve such pure greatness. We Michigainiacs love our Uncle Ted>>€
