It's good to see you making art that you want to make, just for the sheer pleasure of immersing yourself in the process - rather than feeling constrained to create product to please the Y/Tube algorithm. The new acrylics seemed to work well for you, and it was interesting to see you throw some 'variations' in - stencilwork, markers etc. Overall it all worked well, and the final piece turned out so great. I loved how the hummingbird faded in the background, it added depth of field and created the illusion that the hummingbird was flying in and toward the flowers. If it was in full focus, it would just look flat. Bravo.

What an awesome haul from Meeden! While that podache box is light, it seems the tripod was heavy. I think it will be difficult to manage on a hike, but if you are just going to drive somewhere and set up close to your car, it will be perfect. I had a difficult time managing acrylics en plien air, which is why I ultimately set them aside for more portable, light weight set-ups with watercolor and gouache. But those Meeden paints! Better than Liquitex? I'll have to check on price comparison. I've been wanting to get back into acrylics (at least in the studio) and have mostly Liquitex. I do have some Golden which is my fave, but so expensive. I prefer heavy body as well. So the new Meeden line is exciting to me! I hope you are doing well. I miss the lives, even though i only managed to make it to a few of them. But I totally understand why you can't do them. The fact that you are still even posting is amazing. You are a tough cookie, even though it doesn't feel like it, I am sure. But trust me, you are. Hugs!

Yep, I had one! It was still a struggle but it was 85 degrees in direct sun, so no surprise there! Lol! And Art is definitely my therapy! And thank you for taking the time to watch and comment!
This is so relaxing to watch. One point of feedback, so I have to pause the video to read your captions as I want to watch the painting. That said TH-cam's banner and thumbnails pop up when paused and we have navigate up every time to be able to read the next line of caption. Can you put the caption at the top of the screen please so pausing is all that's needed.

If you take a spray bottle outside with you and lightly spray your paints once in awhile it will help keep them from drying out. Art is therapy.
