Today on The Ranveer Show, we have a very special guest; Smriti Zubin Irani, one of the most inspiring personalities in our nation. She is an Indian politician and former actress, serving as the Minister of Women and Child Development since 2019 and Minister of Minority Affairs since 2022. As a well-known household name ‘Tulsi’ during her media career, she has also made a mark in her political career.
In this episode, Smriti Irani talked about various aspects of her media and political career touching on multiple topics in the conversation. The complete podcast is divided into 2 parts, where in the first part she dwelled upon topics like the New Education Policy, Working with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Role of the Ministry towards the Minority, and the Government’s Vision towards the Future of India.
In the second part of the conversation, she talked more about her personal life and how being a mother affects her emotionally. She touched on a lot of topics in this part like the skills needed to be a politician and how a politician can build good policies. She further talked about the 5 perspectives of her life that made her feel lucky as a person.

She visited different institutes, talked with us, and hiked our fellowship and doubled our research fellowship. I had the opportunity to interact with her not as an actor, but as a politician. I asked her mam, what advice would you give her to stay in the research field? After explaining the gender bias, she asked me to be the badass in my field.

This was a very emotional and knowledgable podcast. I remeber those days when Smiriti Irani ji was criticised heavily with words like " She is an actor that means a dumb tv star and she is handed with education ministry" With this podcast she proves her position and take her stand through , struggle , knowledge and diplomacy. She might not be the most knowledgable person but her aura, her strength , her experiences makes her worthy of politician. Whole loads of Respect. Thank you for this podcast.

At first I wanted to comment listening to 1st half that all answers are being given with reference to PM Modi but we wanted to hear about her side. But the 2nd half was very authentic of her and got to know her well.
Especially the last advise just stole my heart - There is one life, live on your terms. I think as a girl, I too experienced being caged with a feeling that I’m a daughter, a sister, will become somebody’s wife… I need to fulfil so and so before I think about myself. But as I grew in spirituality and detachment coming into my being, I felt, how will I ever discover myself with all these labels. I want to craft my own destiny.. let me see wether I succeed or not but I will have the satisfaction of being true to myself and in the process discovering myself. So her feeling resonated with mine and I felt goosebumps 😅

I really love the thought that ‘all men in my country is not a female shamer, wife beater or rapist’. When Nirbhaya happened and Delhi was termed the rape capital of the world, it had a very bad effect on me as a student as I started questioning every action with my female friends, classmates etc. that whether we were doing anything wrong… I truly hate that I had that doubt ever.

It is not like incidents don’t happen in other countries. But the propaganda did a really big damage. We should not forget to fight the propaganda machine as it is the virus that can kill a country from within.
