I feel like your episodes just keep getting better and better, Ann-Elin. And I especially enjoyed this one, being that you are now visiting Morocco. I'm really looking forward to your next episodes while visiting Casablanca and Marrakesh. And as far as your last trip for a while on Pickle? Booooo!!!! haha
Leaving Tangier can be a long drawn out process singularly because of customs and or the police. Sometimes you sit amd wait for two hours or more fir them. They do not understand that seapeople have weather and tidal windows to meet. It's a lottery depending on the time you depart and who is on duty.
Besides the physical part there appears to be a political part. Years ago I crewed on a boat that did not have an engine and this was a really heavy 40' steel double ended ketch with a full keel so it carried tremendous way. The captain hardly ever docked we either picked up a mooring or anchored. He generally waited for ebb tide or tried to time it because he did NOT wanna hit anything with that boat! The only time he dealt with a dock was when he had extra hands onboard (because he was under a reefed jib (sometimes on the mizzen as well for balance) and had way on). I've seen that boat drag a mooring weight! This was back in the sextant days.. GPS what's that?
Ann-Elin documents the land, and Sam documents the sea! I really enjoy the differing perspectives and details of you guys videos! I hope for more Sam/Ann-Elin adventures soon!
Wel done Ann-Elin, it's tough going out to open sea, no matter how confident your captain is, especially nowadays where we think captains are generally crap.
Loved your nod to the hands-free loud whistle you guys are working on. I too just started a couple weeks ago, and though the whistle appears to have a long learning curve, I’ve mastered hyperventilating rather quickly! Safe travels, and see you on the flip side.

Wow guys, lucky you! I had a terrible time coming to the Canaries. Off Casablanca I had unusual strong southerly wind and waves for 48 hours, with Moroccan fishing boats with no AIS all around me. I was single handed, so no sleep!
you captured the excitement of setting off on the voyage. The night shot at anchor on the way. Pickle needs A/C. Is there room to install it / enough power? Maybe not. I liked Rabat when I visited. It's a government place of course. Always enjoy your video of walking around the city, flowers etc. Hope you will continue to sail and post.
@@annelinsynnes I can imagine. Especially after an overnight sail, you need a restful night to recover. But I usually find it hard to sleep well the first night in a hotel, even with A/C.
Another great video. Have you spent much time in hot climes? I lived in Florida for two years and it reset my thermostat for years. Like, I needed a jacket if it was 70°F (21°C). If you spend a lot of time closer to the equator this might happen to you as well. Your editing is great and your choice of music is really nice. Sam is a great guy, too.
Great video, Ann-Elin... very smooth flow with lots of details. You've probably mentioned this before, but what do you and your PhD do for work? Thanks, Michael
I agree with the previous commentors, the videography is really beautiful. There are so many great things about Sam, but that whistling is not one of them.
We’ve been following Sam for a long time. We only started following you recently. We’re finding that since you post your videos first before his come out (of the same passage) there’s no longer a sense of seeing something new on his channel. It’s like a repeat, in a sense with no surprises. I think we’ll revert to watching his only or at least first.
It's not usually hot in all cities along the coast line, that s why you dont find the AC everywhere in these cities, not as inside cities like Marrakech and Fes ...
Police dog on board. WHAT are these people looking for? Rabat.. where is that? Morocco. Lotta debris dotting that shoreline this sure isn't Japan by a long shot. I mean that place is spotless you can eat off their streets. I see Sam ain't the only one that likes to drill things. You know Ann it seems like you Norwegians speak in English with NO dialect. You sound American. I listen to Sissel (my favorite singer who is also Norwegian) and she has no dialect either. You both sound like you were born here in the States. But English is NOT your native language I can't get my head around on this. Been reading about it. 95% of Norwegians speak Norwegian but 85% speak English. Are most of the citizens there bi-lingual? I'm not at all linguistic I could NEVER learn a second language.
I’m sorry the woman’s taken over the show and ruined it hope he’s at least happy, if I wanted to watch a henpecked couple I can go to target
Lol 🐓🐓

maybe I just don't understand your humor, "sarcasm is a skill" 🤔.. but they both have their own youtube channels
@@jupeka777 yes he’s just being an *hole. And he doesn’t understand that he is watching the wrong channel 🤷♀️
huh? you get it, right, this is her channel, Sam H still has his running on a separate track. More power to her!
Your videography is going ahead in leaps and bounds! well done.
I'm a fan of both! love these videos... Thank you for sharing.
Like everyone else i really enjoy the different perspectives the two of you show in your videos.
I love the fact that both of you wear hats and not caps...Go guys and Girl...
We were caps once in a while too 😅
Im loving your videos.. so relaxing and chill.
The start of the video is beautiful!Nice editing!
Thank you!

I love, love, love, these videos. They are honest travelogues. Thank you for making them!
Love it when folks document arriving and leaving slips...the most challenging part Iin my opinion

Run Sam ! RUN !
Why? 😅
Don't listen your awesome! Great video!
Oh dear, Sam's going to have to get his act together. If you've got a lady on the boat, make sure you have fresh towels and air con. 😊
Those Yanmar motors always sound to me like they are going to blow apart at any moment.
What are the reels of line at the stern of the boat for?
👍👍😻🥳
