  • I discuss the following topics; What is agile leadership? How to become an agile leader? What are the top 3 principles of leading for business agility?
In a world more complex, more interconnected, and more unpredictable than ever before, Industrial Revolution management practices are no longer effective. With ever-increasing levels of VUCA, to survive and thrive, agile leadership is vital to create effective, agile organisations which exhibit business agility in all they do. Here is how to grow as an agile leader:
    ○ PRINCIPLE 1: Create the environment for excellence - stop focusing on the work, and start focusing on the vision, culture, strategies, structures, and policies to create the environment for teams to do great things.
    ○ PRINCIPLE 2: Decentralise decision-making - push the authority to where the information is. Those closest to the work and the customer are best placed to make tactical decision about how work gets done.
    ○ PRINCIPLE 3: Grow the capability of those around you - the higher you rise in an organisation, the more your success depends on growing those around you. Become a great coach and mentor.

I just started to learn about agile leadership and viewed a few videos. Yours is simple to understand and relate to my work managing a team of 400 staff operating a complex facility operation. Thanks

Talk about "just in time" principals. In the management group, I am in we are having a discussion on Agile Leadership. There are a few that seem to be holding on to the more classical way of doing their work - they like the idea of management taking all the decisions. Personally, I am all about setting the team free. They know best, they have the answers, they are hired for their competences - I just have to ask them questions to make them unleash their potential.
So I for one would deffently like to hear more of your thoughts on Agile Leadership.

Good videos, but you sound a bit irritated, you should get a wireless mic that is closer to the mouth so you dont need to stress every word.
