Ice King and Gunther turning into spooky scary skeletons in the tape was extremely creepy, not only because of how quickly it happened, but because, despite how horrible it was, it was only a microcosm of what had happened at the exact same time in the entire universe because of the Lich 's wish.
dont forget that the camera recorded their skeletons for hours before dying out

When I first saw it I was genuinely spooked, and it was so fast I had to rewind to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. Such a weird concept to think everyone was just going about their day and then a split second later, dead.

People were arguing REALLY HARD, how the lich is a "CONCEPT" , and "can't be depressed".

The saddest part to me is that in "Jerry's" universe Simon died, not only as Ice King, but literally crying.

YES he DID accomplish his goal, but there is a difference between how he acted in the time room vs now.
in the time room he said nothing and did nothing until there was an opportunity.
but here in the universe where he won, he was still talking and moving and stuff.

Another dead giveaway to m (I observed this pre episode 9) was that in the time room the Lich was still ‘active’, or at least, observing. His eyes were always open even if he wasn’t doing anything. In this world they’re empty until he starts talking, and he has talked to BMO a fair bit based off what BMO said about him, plus the several braids in the Lich’s beard, so he hasn’t been completely inactive despite not being able to achieve his goal because he already has.
Which also now takes me back to a question I always had, but thought was obsolete until now: who is the Lich? Or, who was he before the Bomb?
I thought he was the green catalyst comet, since the whole horns thing.
kinda important thing to note, there's a note in the treehouse that can be read when BMO says that everyone's around except Football that reads "BRB -Finn" which from something I saw on twitter, could possibly be a note Finn left behind when him and Jake went to go to "Billy" and ended up in the time room with the Lich, so this universe could quite possibly be our original universe/the universe we were in up until the events of Finn the Human, either that or the person that made the tweet was just overthinking things
I was thinking the same thing. The lich's wish created this universe and prismo told Finn and Jake that they couldn't go back to their world, prompting Finn to create farm world and later jake to make his wish... Both the lich's wish world and farm world exist... so, did Jake's wish just create a duplicate of the original world? That would mean our original BMO is the one that died 😢
Once something happens it can't unhappen so when the lich wished everything dead it killed Prime Universe and then finn overwrote it with farm world making Dead World officially its own separate reality just like how when Jake wishes to change the liches wish to return them safely back to Ooo this once again turned their home universe to match the wish, while the cosmic consequence is the older world just becomes another part of the multiverse or even possibly as alternate timelines. This is because even if you rewrite time the sequence of events leading up to you needing to rewrite time STILL occured/your very existence/the continuity of your matter is evidence that your personal past still happened. Once these alternate worlds were created they couldn't be wished out of existence. So yes it was our original world, in a sense. In the same sense as Finn Sword was the same Finn. Not even a parallel version of him, it was literally himself ripped out of space/time

@@treemuger1I like to think that the wish creates a clone for the lich's wish, a world where it takes place leaving thr original alone. The main reason I think this is because farmworld exist, if farmworld is created due to a wish that makes it so the lich never comes to power, whose to say the lich's wish didn't create one entirely different universe where everyone gets killed in a instant. Also one unimportant detail I'm wondering is if the wish killed everyone, how did it do so, was it a Shockwave effect, moving faster than the universe expansion so that life is all dead in a instant? Or is it all gone just like that, just *snap* and dead? If the former imagine watching how horrifying it would be, if you were far away you wouldn't even know you were dead until it was too late. And the latter just the scale of the death happening at the exact same time everywhere at one moment is absolutely horrific. Again the last tangent is just semantics but it's a interesting thought
@@treemuger1well no, there’s the time room seems to allow for paradox as shown during “Is that You” when Jake became the sleeping Old Man dreaming of Prismo and Finn became Finn Sword. The farm world universe also supports this as that wish was made **after** the Lich made his original wish for extinction and before Jake wished to change the Lich’s wish.
Ok I gotta say, I think the statement about the lurch being depressed was very important though. It brings up a recurring theme throughout the series of accomplishing one’s goal by any means necessary to no return. Like Betty saves Simon but sacrifices herself, Fiona and cake may be able to save their world but Fiona have to live knowing the mental turmoil that inflicts on the ice king. They accomplish their goals, but after that what? I think that’s what they were trying to get at with the litch being “depressed” he accomplished his goal, but is now left with nothing.
This reminds me of Finn's commentary on video-games in the Minecraft episode.
Imagine being created to give people love and not being able to give it to anyone that world broke BMO so much that he lost his imagination because he said he hadn’t seen football in a while poor BMO
This episode might be one of my all time favorites in all of Adventure Time. It's so bleak and the emotions between F and C feel so real, and I am very anxious about where the finale will go with all this.
Also, the animation is just gorgeous here. Its not as flashy as Winter King or full of easter eggs, but it looks exactly how a Lich-destroyed world should look: dry and desiccated, no wind blowing, even the trees have fossilized. I thought future Ooo in Come Along with Me and Graybles 1000 was bleak, but this was truly a dead world.
Apparently this episode was just fan fic since it could never have happen as ice king jewel was taken by fin to put in the book so his crown that was found in the drum would of never had the jewel in it the first place after the lich wished for destruction. Problem with this generation is they dont pay attention to any of the original material and they keep self inserting woke things. So many fiona and cake were written wokely.

I like to think Orbo is the embodiment of "roundness" in the AT multiverse and is the reason why all planets, meteors, molecules, and atoms take the form of a sphere (more or less).
This episode makes me think, if BMO is alive, then what about the other MO's at the factory? Are they still living at this point or did AMO get his hands on them beforehand? I like to think that they are the ones to rebuild the earth after all organic life was destroyed

There's also the robo-Princess Bubblegum. Unless she's actually partly organic, she should still be around too. Unless she somehow died before The Lich made his wish.
And if she is still around... ouch, that's a grim image if she had to watch Broko die...
The Mo Co. bots probably survived, but we clearly didn't visit them to see.
And BMO is was either so shattered by the mass death around him/her that they didn't consider looking to their companionship... or BMO was just the usual BMO flighty, and just hadn't visited his home in a while.

Though it could be they do actually know how to repair each other, since it seemed like the only reason Mo wound up the one to fix BMO is because they happened to run into him. And also cause Mo loved BMO enough to want to do it himself.

This was a great episode! A small detail I noticed was when we first meet Orbo, he drops onto a pedestal with one star flanked by the angel and devil wing. THE Boss' phone has the same wings and two stars. It makes me wonder if there is an even higher 3-star cosmic boss

Weird thought but maybe because of Simon's dedication to Betty, who is now merged with golb, it makes in by proxy a follower of Golb. Hence the 2 skulls in the credits.
Something about this episode is just so upsetting to me…
The desolation of the lich world was just so creepy to me and even BMO’s death was as abrupt and horrifying as seeing Ice King and Gunther die. This whole episode had me anxious like jesus christ am i the only one??
BMO's death felt like a gorefest to me. Even in the universe surrounded by death,his death scene felt so shocking.

@@deesmith8576this is a new universe not the original one. Lichs wish is like farmworld's finn creation: it created his new Universe and another version of him, which is what we are seeing now. 😅
I think the lich being depressed is plausible. As his conquest for death is one inspired by the chaos of golb, maybe when he succeeded in that universe and golb never came or showed any sign of approval he sat without purpose for however many years. Once a portal to golb is right in front of him it piques his interest as well resulting in the last scene.
This is slowly becoming my favorite show ever. Appreciate the hard work to make these videos 🙏🏼
how is it your fav it has a lot of plot holes. I mean did you not even notice that the crown in this world STILL HAS THE JEWEL. I mean come on did the writers not even watch the original. They are pulling fake stuff from their bums. The jewel from ice king crown was taken along with all the other princeses for the book to open the portal. meaning that the death that lich wished for right after meant ice king never had the jewel in the crown in the first place and bmo never would of died trying to put the gem to fix the remote. This WHOLE ARC has so many plot holes and untrue to the original story that it makes me sick watching it. The new writers didnt even care to check what the original had. They just self inserted a lot of fan fic that they wished had happen.

What's crazy is that I might have predicted the Lich appearing in this Spin off series as I noticed that the glitches in the trailer were colored GREEN which is what the Lich mostly represents. But I never expected to be right with my predictions for once

I like how you keep pointing out these little and Key details that are going on in these episodes. But if you compare the frames where the Lich was watching Simon to the frame where the Golb eye appeared: the Lich seems shocked.
I think one he realizes that his boss/god extended an "invention" to Simon. Or when the Golb eye appeared he realized that he almost tried to kill Simon and now Golb/Betty is telling him: "DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT KILLING HIM!"
(I emphasize the all caps because the eyes in Golb seemed furrowed indicating that Betty Golb was angry as hell.)
I’m stuck on how does Betty wish works she wished for the power to keep Simon safe does that mean he can’t be harmed by anyone and why did the wish not work for every Simon like the winter king
Because that wish was for THIS betty, for THIS simon, the same way most wishes don't affect other world.
Betty’s wish wasn’t like an all encompassing til the end of time wish I think. It was an immediate reaction to what would save Simon then and there, meaning dealing with golb somehow. Her wish doesn’t protect him from any physical harm. And like the other commenter said this is all just for the original universes Simon and Betty, not the multiverse
The crown grants your deepest desire rather than your immediate stated wish, and I think in that moment Betty’s main desire was to keep Simon from being killed in that moment by Golb. I think had she put the crown on at another time she might have kept him safe forever

That “small” detail about the Ice King putting the crown in the drums….
Not to be that nerd, but in the episode The Lich, F & J take the gem out of the crown (along with all the other princess gems) and put them in the enchiridion to open Prismo’s portal.
Ice King was asleep when they stole his Gem, F & J open the portal, and Ice King was blaming Gunter for stealing the gem.
Moments later, the portal closes, and the gem flies back into Ice Kings’ crown as he exclaims “Wowzers!”
The ice king must’ve started recording immediately afterwards and, then recorded his “Foghorn” bit just as quickly.
The Lich did not take that long to make it to Prismo
Perhaps the lich did not kill them because he knew they wouldn't survive either way. since he was aware there was no life left, he knew they'd die on their own and instead wanted to let them suffer to death
Seeing ice king and gunther immediately turn into skeletons is so terrifying to me, for obvious reasons of course but the idea of every living organism in the world just simply dropping dead in an instant with no way to stop it is terrifying and I can only imagine how poor little BMO felt seeing all of the people he loves just die probably right in front of him. I know I couldn’t mentally handle that.

My personal head canon is that the Boss of all Bosses is probably that Talus Character seen next to Golb in the Enchiridion. He has a similar appearance to Abraxas who is (depending on your views) is either a Demon OR is a God Above All others under only a Unknowable God (who I've heard called a Dreamer, by others in the AT Theorizing community) but in Gnosticism he is a Being of Ultimate Good and Ultimate Evil (simplifying of course) and I fell that maybe that would explain the Phone with the Demon wing and the Angel wing? Again my own theory!
I don’t like how Fiona and cake just get a pass 😭 they really did just ruin some of these other universes, also am I the only one who thinks we need more on Billy? I’d love a whole series on him
They killed an evil ice king that forced Pb and her WHOLE KINGDOM to insanity for a hundred years.
They kinda resolved a conflict between farmworld finn and destiny, letting the kids date peacefully.
And what happened in vampire world would have happened regardless, the failure of the end plan(that they made even before fionna, cake and simon got to that world) wasn't their fault, the vampire king was just too powerful for huntress to assassinate.
Plus, in a multiverse where any reality can exist / have existed, one ruined universe is just a drop of ink in an ocean planet

For Farmworld finn, he didn't die, one attack to the neck wouldn't kill him, especially with the hat that's designed to prevent vampires from being able to stab necks with their teeth, and he is strong, that was a pain face, not a death face he made when he got attacked.
Lastly, for baby finn, that wasn't their fault, baby finn just climbed in fionna's bag, they didn't bring him with them intentionally. Also, he was in peppermint butler tank, that would keep him alive, ANDDD, watch the last two episodes.

Even though I enjoyed the finale, I’m a tiny bit disappointed that they never expanded what powers Fionna & Cake were.
You forgot the very important dialogue when Fionna asks if Simon went with her and he asked why would I. People brush past that but it’s really important.

He wasn't thinking about it at the time. At the time, he just wanted to return her feelings. That's why he didn't get on the bus with her.
@@mia-jv2hu It's representative of the common thread of Simon and Betty's relationship. It's always about Simon's goals, and Betty giving up everything to follow him to those goals but never the other way around.
This episode had such a sad atmosphere and to see Ice King dying while he was crying truly made me feel

I think the resson the reason he's able to teleport to golb betty is because the linch is a way more powerful battery. That and maybe ice crown being a thing that connects them, is also a powerful artifact, or it's granting ice king wish

The scarab isn’t in a holding cell, he’s at his boss’s office building. Well their version of it. Remember he’s a bounty hunter for people who violate the laws of reality. He was ignoring his boss who was calling him, not breaking a law. He’s in the office building of the section he works for. Everyone in there with him in the beginning were sitting in rows of chairs.

I actually think that it was different. I think that in episode "Mortal Folly" where Litch tried to do something in his Litch pool, Ice King kind of helped Finn defeat the Litch but without his crown (he lost in in the drums) he couldn't and that made Litch win
Random comment. I think Bmo did that because he saw them as Finn and Jake. He actually called fionna finn at one point. So to him, he was just helping Finn and Jake on another adventure 😭💔

Omg, I just finished watching the 10th episode of 1st season. In this video there is so many things I havent thought about...like: I completely forgot Betty's wish, so I was thinking that simon made an unconscious wish like in the ep 2. Jeez, there is so many things to find out; that is why I liked adventure time in the first place. It is unpredictable. I can't wait to see the second season of Fionna and cake. It is definitely gonna be released, cuz as you explained in the video - they are causing glitches. It is likely to become a plot for the next season. How do you think man? Will it be another plot for the series or not?

I heard someone in another video also point out that in the flashback to the car right at the end before the portal opens, Betty says "Goodbye Simon" but I'm the original telling she says "Goodbye Petrikov" because she doesn't start calling him Simon till after the bus

hear me out guys. if GOLB or GOLBetty is the embodiment of chaos, what if Prismo's boss is the embodiment of order? This would explain the two wings on the phone which could mean balance. Not really sure about the stars, but they might be representing GOLB and Prismo's boss. This would also explain the scarab's fear of GOLB despite being immortal. Scarab is a very busy being and from what we can tell from the series, there are a lot of godlike beings to take care of. The only way that GOLB is instantly recognized without breaking any rules to alert Scarab is if GOLB is super important. Such as being the counterpart to Scarab's boss's boss.

i think the cosmic owl is going to play a role in the finale. BMO's mask heavily resembles the CO in episode 8, and in episode 7 we see him on the scarab's tablet (even if it is for "profiteering"). i could be wrong, but i think it'd be a cool twist. also, im choosing to believe that BMO was the one that tied the lichs' hair like that lol

My hypothesis is that this Ooo was hit by a gamma-ray burst, which instantly destroyed all life on the planet leaving only BMO and the Litch inhabiting dead Billy. That's why the sky is yellow - all the ozone had been burned off - and why all the trees are dead and bleached.
The Litch is depressed because something else wiped out all life instead of him and he had no power anymore. He's trapped in a corpse.
Well with seeing the new episodes it kinda proves what was going on with the lich, but I’ll still explain why your parallel didn’t really prove if the Lich was depressed or not. The lich in the time room was stationary not because he had no purpose, but because he was waiting for the opportunity to kill prismo. The lich in the extinction world still moves, talked, and more. He even had the opportunity to kill fionna and cake, but he didn’t even thought there was not practical purpose for him not to do so unlike in the time room.
