Congratulations! This vid you used impeccable vocabulary to formulate the concepts. Outside of fighting, I'd argue excitement is the most powerful human emotion for positive change. You could use the same flow and excitement concepts to describe how a comedian kills it on stage, for example. So this is helpful info for anyone trying to succeed. Excitement can help build connections and relationships bc it is so powerful, ppl pick up on it. I will go ahead and mention that for things like telekinesis, excitement and anger are the emotions ppl have the most success with. I don't agree w using anger, and think that could just lead to hurting oneself, but my point is that excitement is a form of higher energy vs other human emotions. In this case, it has enough power to help the brain move physical objects with EM fields and/or brainwaves. I know this to be true, and as a martial arts practitioner who's been in flow-state, that power can help the fighter hit better timings and make better reads, because potentially an excited mind could mess with someone in a lower energy state as well. Like when we say a fighter has another's number. In the book of Five Rings: Fire is a psychological element meant to make the opponent feel like they're being suffocated, by means of only your mind, strategy, and posture. I think the deadliest melee combatant in history knew what he was talking about.
1. Needs to be challenging but not too challenging 2. Anchoring - internal emotion linked to external action 3. Anxiety is actually excitement 4. Remaining present 5. Visualization beforehand
@motorsports5727 What if it's too challenging, like preparing for an exam at university or school? Because there will be a lot of things to cover for lessons that eventually you will become bored, the solution is to turn the boredom into excitement but overall what if it's too challenging?
“Be like water making its way through cracks. Do not be assertive, but adjust to the object, and you shall find a way around or through it. If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend.” ― Bruce Lee
I also think a huge part of Jon's success is momentum. Jon has been winning for over a decade straight now, which inspires a level of confidence through external repetition & validation
But it also puts a lot of pressure on him to keep winning so it could go either way depending on Jon, especially on his original plan to come back and beat Ngannou during those 3 years there was a lot on the line and expectations if he had for Francis or even his fight against Gane was a question if Jon would still be the same fighter
he turns fear into excitement, he study's a tendency and only because of the ability that he has then he can exploit a tendency, he flows because of the challenge presented is perfect for the flow state and he has a routine that allows him to feel comfortable......i would argue fear is totally the last feeling you want to have.
@@flannelfield5255 yes that's true fear and excitement are pretty much the same thing tho just in opposite frames negative and positive I didn't word my comment very well
Jon is literally a psychopath but found the perfect profession for himself. just the way he talks and thinks in action and reaction and the way it translates to his fighting and the way he studies is on another level

A sociopath is a narcissist too, but usually more impulsive and anti social ie being a maniac or controlling social situations to be centre of attention. The comment is right, given the right tool and opportunities, psychopaths can be produce members of society legally like lawyers, fighters and career criminals who then help intelligence agencies because because know how to burgle. Jon could easily otherwise be a violent offender if ufc hadn't given him the outlet for validation in a controlled environment
Jon Jones is like a God of War. There is no other place he belongs. He seems to have trouble in every part of life but as soon as he is in the cage, he ascends to a really incredible place. Too bad he cant apply that to everything else
Nahh.. Caucasians tend to drive elite black combat artist insane.. by over pressuring them to fight everyone to prove themselves, robbing them of full credit until they run out of opponents.. putting them under more stress than a caucasian fighter who is allowed to move at his own pace through the ranks without being robbed of credit before he’s fought the top guys… this goes back to the early stages of boxing when they fought nearly 100 times per yr.. Now the elite blk fighter feels as though he can lose everything over a bad fight.. his credit is perpetually hanging on by a thread, as non-blk fans await his downfall.. spiking his anxiety through the roof.. that anxiety colors every aspect of his life, including their dealings with fans… wives.. civilians etc. Mayweather got rich off of non-blk fans dying to see him lose.. not because the average fan loved him.. Jones got wasted before every fight to have a built in excuse, to alleviate the idea of losing after thoroughly preparing to win.. Tyson folded under the pressure completely and went crazy… Ali put himself at too much risk for the approval of racist fans, causing severe brain damage.. this even bleeds over into other sports like the NBA.. Westbrook has a couple bad seasons now caucasian fans are so toxic towards him that he can’t bring his family to games.. Ppl constantly mock Lebron even though he’s a legend and they manufacture petty reasons to disrespect a man who hasn’t had a major scandal for caucasians to latch onto.. Ben Simmons can’t even go to certain games because he is serially disrespected for underperforming and not meeting caucasian expectations.. etc. So luckily Jon is blessed with self belief, regardless of how the average caucasian UFC fan spits on his legacy. The “flow state” is a decent explanation. Not a single caucasian fighter will ever have to deal with this pressure and unrealistic level of expectations.
@@mangopudding5979 Fedor is not like that. Fedor is gentle and creative in his life outside the ring. Jon Jones literally has to restrain himself from ruining lives outside the ring lol
My takeaway: To be on flow means to be balanced between anxiety and boredom. If you are losing a path, repeat an anchor (same action ~ same feeling/ Maslows effect) to bring you back. Change you attitude through positive affirmation for the present, to change from anxiety to excitement. Stay as present as possible Prepare yourself as good as possible and repeat how you are achieving what you want, will help you to be strong at your weakest points.

The deep visualization technique is something that Gilbert Burns has also talked in depth during a Brazilian podcast called Connect Podcast. Bruh just because a guy lost to someone else doesn't make their whole approach wrong. Fedor had losses and his principled approach to fighting has a gem for anyone who wants to fight. And Belal is a strong contender who had a wonderful night against a guy who may or may not have been off his game. Hope Burns bounces back from this one.
I wouldn't have thought that the reluctance to inflict harm on someone bothered many fighters, but even MacGregor has spoken of it. The game is 99% mental.
@@youtubeaccountserio2633 He did, didn't he? Belal had a job to do and he pulled it off. Good for him. But once the difficulty increases too much you lose. This is also touched on in Dragon Ball Super, called Ultra Instinct. The feeling of effortlessness and fighting without even thinking. You just react and know exactly what to do in every situation. Exactly how Cody Garbrandt explained it. Once in high school, I took a charge late in the game, crowd went fucking bananas, my whole body went numb. Coach was hyping me up and I can’t remember a word he said to this day. From the point on, I took over and checked out of the game after my last free throw made on an and 1 that put the nail in the coffin. I moved so effortlessly. Ultra instinct haha

That’s actually great. I caught myself thinking and tried calm myself down by flipping every thought with a positive one until I just said fuck it and went outside of my head and focused just on the task I had to do with no thought. I had the best game out of my life
Kudos to JJ but... 1. He always had a great physical advantage against his opponents. 2. When it didn't happen, it was a draw (vs Gustafson and Reyes) 3. His masterpiece was vs Gane. But Gane had many holes in the grappling department.
Winning makes you stronger feeling invincible with zero self-doubt, I would really want to know how Jon Jones could handle a loss arguably he lost to Reyes 3-2 would he come back stronger or maybe not? Winning is easy loosing is hard you meet who you really are depending on how you handle loosing
I love how people can watch a whole video explaining mental processes, and then say "confidence' and 'momentum' 'fight iq'. No , he just told you. Flow state is true human potential.
This is absolutely true. Jon was bored with light heavyweight. Watch the “close” fights with Gustafson and Reyes. Jon would have STOMPED those guys if he actually cared to be there. He was bored as f**k. He didn’t even want to be there, let alone be fighting anyone, and he still handled those dudes. And those fights were not close. Jon still beat the shit out of both those guys.
Jone Jones doesn't believe in his own hype, he doesn't believe he's invincible, and that, makes him better than most dominant champions who after several title defenses start being arrogant, even the alleged steroid use is because he doesn't believe he's that good, he takes each and every of his opponents seriously, the only time he underestimated someone was the first Gus fight and he almost paid for it.
Great video! Though he’s not perfect, his interviews where he talks about his faith in Christ and how that empowers him is to do what he does is amazing.
so basically his fighting IQ is extremely high with a fast reaction time and an unbeatable gameplan because of analysing everything there is available. sounds like a real champion!
What’s crazy about people that hate on Jon Jones is that they’ll watch a whole 7 minute video on why he’s successful just to make them selves hate him some more 😂😂 Lowkey fans lol
All his "Haters" Can say is "Reyes Beat Jon" "Steroid User" Or "His last 3 Fights were bad" Officially Jones beat Reyes.. as for steroid use it's a valid criticism but if steroid was all it took then why is TRT Belfort Or Horsemeat Ubereem Not In The GOAT Conversation?? If Steroids magically made you a goat.. His last 3 fights are valid criticism again but how can you say that now when He finished Gane In like 2 minutes, Back Before the Gane Fight Haters were saying he would get his ass beat and that he was Washed. He Beat Gane So badly and now the haters say.. it's because Gane is bad.. Like come on now
@@ABeastGaming exactly man, first off he wasn't on steroids this fight. Second, even if he was, we saw the performance and could tell it has nothing to do with steroids, just pure technique and planning. I still think he takes steroids for recovery but idgaf he's still the goat

From the point on, I took over and checked out of the game after my last free throw made on an and 1 that put the nail in the coffin. I moved so effortlessly. Ultra instinct haha
Really great content man! Keep it up!
appreciate it brodie!
great vid bro!
Thank you brotha!
Phenominal video. Thank you for this - I was always interested in how gsp does the nipple thing before entering and I knew that would get him into flow but the way you explained it is insane literally anime unlocking something through repitition
_Nipple_ thing?
amazing video man, one my faves I’ve ever seen on yt
Love to hear it bro, thanks for stopping by!
He realized fear is another word for excitement!
Thank you so much for making this video! The effort, the visuals, the information, everything! Keep grinding!
Appreciate it bro!
Awesome analysis and video work. Damn good stuff.
Appreciate it brotha!
He already maxed out the physical stats. Add the mind power to it makes him unbeatable
This is quite a solid analysis and definitely outside the box. Well done, actionable things everyday people can do.
That’s actually great. I caught myself thinking and tried calm myself down by flipping every thought with a positive one until I just said fuck it and went outside of my head and focused just on the task I had to do with no thought. I had the best game out of my life
There is nothing wrong with having butterflies as long as you can get them to fly in formation. Life changing!
Great video. This can be applied on any skill. Thank you very much
This was legit. Good work!
Kudos to JJ but...
1. He always had a great physical advantage against his opponents.
2. When it didn't happen, it was a draw (vs Gustafson and Reyes)
3. His masterpiece was vs Gane. But Gane had many holes in the grappling department.
He always struck me as a heavy weight fighting light heavy’s.
Spot on his reach and stature wins him most fights
Then why is Stefan struve and James Vick not undefeated? 😂 Jon would win regardless of size
Also Jon's masterpiece was his first title fight. He literally made Shogun tap out due to strikes....STRIKES.
He beat Guss but yeah draw vs Reyes
Ive heard omalley and his coach talk about the flow state and just being able to focus on your breathing and thats it
Stellar content as always! 🦴 👏
Appreciate it as always!!
This video was brilliantly done !
Gotta start practicing that mindset! 🍖
Future champ right here 💪
and buying and the roids too
@@OatDrip777 lol
Once I get that mindset my wife will never be able to stop me
@@PsychologyOfTheFightlol every ufc fighter practices this. Although it helps to think. Jones is physically gifted on top of it.
Dope video 💪🏼🙏
Appreciate it brotha!
You’re the man JD 🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴
Hey, you're a real one that has supported me since way back!! Appreciate you more than you know!
Perfect video my brother 🦴
Appreciate u brother
Winning makes you stronger feeling invincible with zero self-doubt, I would really want to know how Jon Jones could handle a loss arguably he lost to Reyes 3-2 would he come back stronger or maybe not? Winning is easy loosing is hard you meet who you really are depending on how you handle loosing
The information in this video is worth more than a million dollars
Insane analysis, after you put it like that it’s hard to see anyone defeating Jon Bones Jones 🦴 ☠️
I love how people can watch a whole video explaining mental processes, and then say "confidence' and 'momentum' 'fight iq'. No , he just told you. Flow state is true human potential.
Well said many people are not aware of this
Awesome Analysis. I am enjoying watching your channel.
Appreciate it bro
This is absolutely true. Jon was bored with light heavyweight. Watch the “close” fights with Gustafson and Reyes. Jon would have STOMPED those guys if he actually cared to be there. He was bored as f**k. He didn’t even want to be there, let alone be fighting anyone, and he still handled those dudes. And those fights were not close. Jon still beat the shit out of both those guys.
Best video ever seen in TH-cam
Jone Jones doesn't believe in his own hype, he doesn't believe he's invincible, and that, makes him better than most dominant champions who after several title defenses start being arrogant, even the alleged steroid use is because he doesn't believe he's that good, he takes each and every of his opponents seriously, the only time he underestimated someone was the first Gus fight and he almost paid for it.
Damn this channel is full of bangers. Subbing
Welcome, my friend
I don't care what anybody says Jon bones Jones is the goat.. He's a wolf that eats goats.. Hes the greatest period
Beautiful video
God gifted fighter Jon Jones
He isn't gifted.
🦴 ☠️ that was fuckin ‘ amazing man. Flow state is so important in sports or any activity really .
Appreciate it brotha! It is very true, it is an amazing tool that some argue it is the peak human experience
Amazing work mate 👏
What’s crazy about people that hate on Jon Jones is that they’ll watch a whole 7 minute video on why he’s successful just to make them selves hate him some more 😂😂
Lowkey fans lol
@@Akshat-zw9gr Yep.. People forget that gane is the number 1 heavy weight contender when Jones fought him.. People were saying Gane was gonna be hard for him...
Relax dude, people can not be a fan of the man outside the cage, but still be a fan of what he does inside of it. Outside the cage he's done some despicable things, but watching him fight, is truly watching a master at work.
@@ashb4275 yeahhh it's just that i have seen some ridiculously stupid comments saying what king of legacy does jon have if all he does is fight an old stipe and beat gane. Like people can criticize him for being a bad person but come on.. gotta give the man some credit inside the ring at least
Incredible video. Thank you
Rayes vs Jones 3 :2 Rayes defeated him and it will be remembered, because life of truth is eternal, immortal is it's past, power of truth shall indure, truth shall hold till the last.

Jon jones is his biggest enemy. Its a shame that such gift was given to such a terrible human being
It’s funny how life works. Some of the best people get given shitty cards in life and so are never recognised for being a good person and some of the worst and given god given talents that overshadow there evil nature. Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “life’s unfair”
Even then, everyone is rewarded according to their deeds and understanding eventually.
Your video is absolutely great, great editing and great commentary ☠️🦴

I am a new subscriber, I think your videos are insightful and well made, keep it up.
Steroids and dirty fighting, that's pretty much it
How many guys on steroids have had Jones career? Cope comment
Guy is just incredibly good at staying calm in there. Like beyond what I’ve ever seen, never really loses his cool. I don’t like the eye poking though, shitty thing to do.
I’ll save you 7 minutes, it’s roids.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Don’t be a hater white boy🤣🤣🤣 yall be mad that the greatest be black men. Boo hoo

☠️ nice video mate watched it completely loved it
Great analysis, I needed this. I got a fight coming up
Amazing video and work. Exactly what it is. Props
The ability to go with the flow. I’ve read this in the book called Ikigai. Things that you love doing for the rest of your life. That’s also one of the secret to how Japanese people live longer is that they follow their passion. They never retire. The thing is to set yourself a task that is not too easy because easiness leads us to boredom & lack motivation on the other hand not too difficult meaning it has to be challenging but achievable to reach this state of flow.
Good looks, man! Check out the Israel Adesanya life purpose if you want to see a vid all about ikigai!
This guy really are something, isn’t he? Amazing mind work
