      Crazy. I have lakefront property on a private lake in South West Maine and just 5 years ago there was a 15 acre lot that sold for $85,000. I wouldn't pay these prices now.

      @@jamesoncross7494 decades ago? Nope. Three. My point is that I'd look in other places before I'd spend that much money. I had a friend who bought his house in 2005 for a little over a million dollars. He sold it 14 years later for $835k. Only time will tell.

    I live in Bangor and I don't understand why we call it an International Airport. I haven't found a single flight that goes anywhere but New York, Florida, or Pennsylvania!

      its shared, but all privately owned (he said "private road" so all of it runs on private land. Evidently, it cuts the very edge of this lot, and that's likely how they planned it to be for as many lots as they could, becuase no one wants a shared road through the middle of their lot, right?

      The road is not run through the middle of the property. It essentially forms the eastern boundary.

    Looks like a nice property - think its been for sale before (maybe that larger piece). Not sure that far up North and on a small pond garners such a price of $475k. Enfield is very poor town--so to build on that site your Million dollar dream home -- it best stay in the family as it's likely never (though never maybe too strong) to sell for what you'll have into it. Moosehead, Sebago lakes are better options, though your taxes will be higher, if you ever need to sell you could get some appreciation on the investment--Enfield not so much..

      Cold Stream is not a small pond. You won't find a lot like this on Moosehead or Sebago close to this price.
