    So with years of living in the adirondacks I am making an educated assumption that the “meadow” being flooded when it rains means in the months that are not winter the meadow is a breeding ground for mosquitoes, black flies, and noseeum

      Well in Maine unless you are surrounded by pavement, insects are everywhere. Maine is blessed to have lots of water. I guess I prefer a few mosquitos to drought and wildfires like the west has been experiencing the past several years.

    Sweet property, but that price… how negotiable is it?

      Why don't you buy an undeveloped piece of land surrounded by 100's of acres of undeveloped land. Then proceed to clear a place for a building. Have a well drilled and a septic installed, build a road and driveway. Then build a cabin that is well insulated and install plumbing, lighting, and other electrical components. Then buy some furniture and appliances. Once that is all done spend some more time constructing elevated hunting blinds in various locations around the property. Once you get that all done, get back to me on "that price".

    Can it be turnkey with a 22ish year old roof on one side? Don't know how insurance works there.

    • @richardtheriault7624
      @richardtheriault7624 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well everything works, no leaks, new well pump, pressure tank, solar system, wood stove, chimney all in the past couple of years. Being sold completely furnished right down to the coffee cups. You can turn the key on the door, turn on the lights and enjoy the property.

      @@richardtheriault7624 Where I live, Insurance wouldn't talk to me because my roof was not even as old as the off-grid one. Had to get a new roof before continuing or changing insurance for the home.

    Hunting over feed? How sporting is that?

    • @richardtheriault7624
      @richardtheriault7624 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When people hunt, they hunt where animals are. I guess the only "sporting" hunt for you would be to hunt where there is no chance of encountering a deer, bear or other wild game.

      No, I just don't think it's fair to hunt over planted or cast food. .. go where the deer are. Otherwise, how do you call it "hunting"?

    Given the current flooding situation and the amount of water surrounding the property it’s going to be a breeding ground for mosquitoes 🦟 and other insects and pests. If I could cope with this I’d probably be interested in coming to view. Being realistic and living with cancer it’s not going to be suitable unfortunately.
    I’m definitely on the prowl for a large cabin and 100 acres + or a very special area to build an Amish home of a substantial size with a massive basement and underground farm 😊
