I think it depends on the person. Some people are just so distinctive looking that they could put on a whole disguise and you'd still recognize them. And some people could literally put on a pair of glasses, change their hairstyle, and become Clark Kent. I've known a few people who fall into the latter category, and seem to have several different looks depending on how they dress or wear their hair, how they carry themselves etc. And I could have sworn they looked like completely different people from the most minimal changes in appearance. It really depends on how distinctive looking the person is, or if they just look like a lot of people.

It depends on which depiction you're talking about. Silver Age Superman would get superpissd. He had a habit of physically and intellectually humiliating his foes in that era. He was also a dude who did stupid stuff for the dumbest of reasons. Golden Age Superman would just beat up the guy for being anti-american or something. There's actually an answer for this. The reason no one recognizes Clark as Superman is because people genuinely believe that Superman doesn't have a secret identity. Even Lex Luther made a device that would bring Superman to him and when it brought him Clark, he just stormed off thinking he failed because he doesn't believe that someone who was Godlike could never hide amongst weaker people. Henry Cavill once stood in the middle of Time Square, wearing a Superman shirt, right underneath a Superman movie poster, and NO ONE recognized him. There are actually quite a few explanations for why people wouldn’t recognize Superman that make sense and have been validated. The only person I’d really question is Lois Lane given that she’s been up close to both of them and knows them both in a personal capacity.

I honestly believe it has something to do with what people "believe" they see. Another example of this would be in Spectacular Spider-man where Peter dressed up as Spider-man during Halloween to secretly fight Doc Ock and avoid blowing his cover. Mj and Liz said it looked good on him while Flash (as always) clowned him.
So here's how Clark avoids being recognized. On top of wearing glasses, he also wears baggy clothes, changes his speech pattern, walks slouching, and mats his hair down. Movies keep Clark as a stoic brooding dude but he's purposely less confident as Clark. So at the end of the day Clark is just this meek guy who kinda looks like Superman if someone would even bother to give him the time of day, but there's just more contrasts than similarities

I know people are gonna hate me for being that guy, but they actually explain it in the comics pretty well. When he goes out as Clark Kent, he switches up his posture, changes up his hair to not look the same, and wears glasses to dull out his eye color. Put simply, he makes himself look as forgettable as possible so that people never really even think to see him as Superman. This is more so for the people about to comment about how true this video is rather than for Griffy. It’s a dope video, and I love his content, so hopefully y’all can be civil people and stuff when replying.

Let me put it this way. If Chris Hemsworth started working at your job would you think it was Chris Hemsworth? or a guy that looked like him? Just fyi: it's not just the glasses. As Clark he acts completely different being timid with little confidence, soft spoken, wears loose fitting cloths to cover how muscular he is and slouches. For anyone curious about how no one recognizes Superman as Clark, it’s because of his glasses. From what I remember I THINK they’re Kryptonian/Magical glasses that alter his entire appearance
Clark Kent was raised in Smallville Kansas, and probably has a southern accent that he hides when in costume and it just gets left out of the animated/live action adaptations because the writers don't think about it. So between really thick glasses that probably changes the shape of his face, the southern accent, him slouchinging while compressing his spine by several inches to make himself look shorter (Which the comics says he does), and his completely differnet demeanor, I could actually see people just chalking it up to being a passing resemblance, especially since Superman is literally just a generically handsome white guy in most stories. The only issue would be his invuneribility giving himself away, but that could be avoided by having Kryptonite inside his class ring (Imagine him having a lead-lined ring similar to The Flashes ring, but instead of a costume inside, it has two gem stones, the standard emerald colored kind class ringes can come in, and a small fragment of green kryptonite that he could switch to if he needed to hide his powers.)

I learned that it was explained in the comics that he changes his posture and the way he carries himself when he's Superman to also hide his identity. I honestly believe it has something to do with what people "believe" they see. Another example of this would be in Spectacular Spider-man where Peter dressed up as Spider-man during Halloween to secretly fight Doc Ock and avoid blowing his cover. So here's how Clark avoids being recognized. On top of wearing glasses, he also wears baggy clothes, changes his speech pattern, walks slouching, and mats his hair down. Movies keep Clark as a stoic brooding dude but he's purposely less confident as Clark. So at the end of the day Clark is just this meek guy who kinda looks like Superman if someone would even bother to give him the time of day, but there's just more contrasts than similarities

In the comics Lex Luthor actually figured out who Clark Kent was immediately the first time he met him but he denied it because he was like “There’s no way a God would work a day job” and I always felt like that made some kinda sense since he shows his face all the time I feel like if you did think it was Superman you’d probably doubt yourself like “Ain’t no way Superman is working a 9 -5 that just can’t be him”
I know people are gonna hate me for being that guy, but they actually explain it in the comics pretty well. When he goes out as Clark Kent, he switches up his posture, changes up his hair to not look the same, and wears glasses to dull out his eye color. Put simply, he makes himself look as forgettable as possible so that people never really even think to see him as Superman. This is more so for the people about to comment about how true this video is rather than for Griffy. It’s a dope video, and I love his content, so hopefully y’all can be civil people and stuff when replying.
That would work on a normal person. Superman is jacked as hell. Imagine Jason Momoa trying to make himself forgettable. Or Dwayne the Rock Johnson. Or just use Henry Cavill. He can crouch down all he wants, but he's not going to be forgettable.

Just fyi: it's not just the glasses. As Clark he acts completely different being timid with little confidence, soft spoken, wears loose fitting cloths to cover how muscular he is and slouches. All that combined would throw most people off because who would think that the wallflower Clark Kent would be the same person as the confident, brave and powerful Superman. It's just the modern movies don't really convey their superhero's alter ego very well, like just look at how sloppy Batman was to the point almost anyone with 2 brain cells could've figure out Bruce Wayne was Batman.

Clark Kent was raised in Smallville Kansas, and probably has a southern accent that he hides when in costume and it just gets left out of the animated/live action adaptations because the writers don't think about it.
So between really thick glasses that probably changes the shape of his face, the southern accent, him slouchinging while compressing his spine by several inches to make himself look shorter (Which the comics says he does), and his completely differnet demeanor, I could actually see people just chalking it up to being a passing resemblance, especially since Superman is literally just a generically handsome white guy in most stories. The only issue would be his invuneribility giving himself away, but that could be avoided by having Kryptonite inside his class ring (Imagine him having a lead-lined ring similar to The Flashes ring, but instead of a costume inside, it has two gem stones, the standard emerald colored kind class ringes can come in, and a small fragment of green kryptonite that he could switch to if he needed to hide his powers.)
