@ferrykalos But she did! She interpreted all three female roles in 1969-1970 in Banská Bystrica and played/sang Olympia in Vienna in 1970, 1976 and 1977. Furthermore she featured in all three roles in a CD recording with Seji Ozawa and Placido Domingo (Deutsche Grammophon 4276 682-2 P1989).

A wonderful interpretation of this favourite. All coloratura sopranos perform differently giving a unique and personal stamp to this aria. I thought that this performance one of the best I have heard. Bravo ! By the way, she looks very like our (British) actress, Joan Sims in her prime and that is a compliment indeed !
Yes she does look like Joan Sims a bit here. Edita G was always great in arias which required wit and humour. I just love the total mastery of her voice and range of dynamics she uses to bring Olympia to life. Superb!
